Since I am no longer a proud cat parent, it seems only natural that I find other ways to collect cats. I don’t even mind if they’re silicone cats, like Master4Fancy’s Nocturnal Phantom! This intricately designed feline dildo is a very unique piece in my collection, and one that I’m really glad I selected when I was given the opportunity to collaborate with the Chinese indie toy company. This cat may not purr when I pet it nor meow when I’m not in the same room, but Nocturnal Phantom sure as heck made me purr.
Meet Nocturnal Phantom
This pretty kitty may look tame from the front, with carefully sculpted low-profile texture on the front of the shaft, but once you turn this cat around, it’ll really show you its claws. Master4Fancy’s Nocturnal Phantom has a feline body as the base, complete with ears, toe beans, and a cute little nose, but it’s the tail that that will drive you wild. With a small, slightly tapered tip, the cat’s tail is heavily texture on the backside with high-profile texture and a slight curve.
Nocturnal Phantom is available in one size only, with 3 firmness options and 7 coloration options, including the Surprise Custom option. Master4Fancy occasionally has inventory drops, but the primary way to purchase their toys is via customizations. I selected the Cloud 9 coloration, which has a light blue with pink iridescent color marbled in. I asked for the “medium” 5A firmness, which is comparable to 00-50, so it has a good amount of squish given the narrow dimensions of the design. The dimensions are:
- Total length: 6.89″ / 17.5cm
- Insertable length: 5.31″ / 13.49cm
- Upper shaft diameter: 1.02″ / 2.59cm
- Mid shaft diameter: 1.34″ / 3.4cm
- Lower shaft diameter: 1.57″ / 3.99cm
- O-ring size: 1.5″ / 3.81 for built in o-rings, 1.57″ / 4 for removable o-rings
How to Care for Master4Fancy Nocturnal Phantom Dildo
Since Master4Fancy only uses platinum cure silicone for their toy designs, cleaning them is fairly easy! Nocturnal Phantom only requires warm water and an unscented, antibacterial soap that does not contain silicone (avoid any soaps that have ingredients ending in “-cone”). Rinse the toy, lather it up with soap, then rinse again. There is quite a bit of texture, and you may wish to use a small, extra soft toothbrush to clean all of the nooks and crannies.
You can also give the feline fantasy dildo a deeper clean, if needed! Platinum cure silicone is non-porous, however bacteria and pathogens can stick to the surface of the toy, so a deep clean is recommended if you’re sharing toys with a non-fluid bound partner, selling a toy, or have shown symptoms of a bacterial infection. All of these methods for deep cleaning also double as sanitizing:
- Boil it for 10 minutes. Use tongs or a cooking utensil to make sure the dildo is not resting against the sides or bottom of the pot.
- Soak in a bleach/water mixture for 10 minutes. Your bleach to water ratio should be 1:10, and you’ll need to rinse thoroughly with hot water afterwards.
- Bake it for 10 minutes on a lined baking pan. The oven should be heated to 350F/180C.
- Run through the dishwasher on a “Sanitize” cycle without detergent. Leave the dirty dishes in the sink!
- Gently wipe down with 70% isopropyl alcohol, then rinse throughly with hot water.
If you opt for a coloration with Near-Clear in it, you should avoid extreme heat as this can make the silicone become a bit cloudy or yellow.
Master4Fancy includes a storage pouch with their toys that you can store Nocturnal Phantom in. Platinum cure silicone sex toys can touch each other, but should not touch any other sex toy materials, except glass or stainless steel. Also avoid abrasive surfaces and direct sunlight. Don’t bite or scratch at the dildo either!
Lubricant choice is also really important with platinum cure silicone sex toys! You should only use water-based lubes or natural plant oils or oil based-lube. Oils and oil-based lubes may leave behind a residue on the surface of the toy, which you can get rid of with a bleach bath if a grease-cutting dish soap won’t do the trick. With heavily textured toys, I find a thicker, gel like lube a much more comfortable lubricant choice!
My Experiences with Master4Fancy’s Nocturnal Phantom
Master4Fancy’s packaging is one of the most delightfully fun packages I’ve ever opened. I did not receive any special treatment other than being gifted Seth and Nocturnal Phantom, but I sure as hell felt like I did! Each toy purchased from Master4Fancy, except the Lucky Bag, comes standard with character card(s), mesh bag, satin lined drawstring storage bag, mini squish, cute stickers, and a pin. It was such a fun package to open, and would make for a fantastic gift to a friend or lover.
I selected Nocturnal Phantom because I was really curious about the different textures on the design. I don’t often opt for high-profile textures since they can feel so overstimulating, though I’ve wanted to try more. The narrow design seemed like it would give me a more comfortable experience when testing. I could have chosen a softer silicone, but 00-50 is my preferred firmness for feeling textures and I wasn’t sure if their softer silicone options, 00A and 2A, would hold the shape as well as 5A.
The textures on Nocturnal Phantom do feel dramatic, but my hope for the thin design making them more comfortable to take was well placed. Slow and steady thrusting worked best for me with Nocturnal Phantom during any sort of partner play. I also much preferred the texture facing my backside! Flipping it around so the texture was facing my belly button led me down the path to overstimulation too quickly if there was any thrusting motion involved.
Which ended up working out for the best during solo, vaginal play too! I was able to comfortably grip the base of the cute dildo with the cat’s face in my palm. I did have to lean forward a bit, so having back support was really helpful for reducing strain on my shoulders and neck. I ended up really enjoying self thrusting the dildo, even more than having the dildo thrust into me by someone else.
The texture on the front of the shaft wasn’t even noticeable because my body was so distracted by the texture on the back of the shaft. Running my fingers along the dildo, I can feel the textures on the front of the shaft. They feel embossed into the silicone, rather than poking out, and they’re not very deep. I was just never quite able to feel them when I had all the other textures on the other side of the shaft.
Though I usually prefer a larger girth when I’m simply inserting a dildo and leaving it untouched while I stimulate my clitoris with a bullet vibrator, cockwarming with Nocturnal Phantom was really nice. I really enjoyed the sensation of the texture when I purposefully flexed my kegal muscles around the toy, though I enjoyed it even more when it was my second or third time having vaginal penetration in a day. The swelling of my anatomy added a level of sensitivity that made the skinny dildo even more enjoyable.
Because I quickly learned that fast thrusts were not for me with Nocturnal Phantom, I ultimately decided to skip having my wife test it on me in a strap-on harness.
Using Nocturnal Phantom anally was a really wild experience for me. I’m not used to heavily textured toys anally, as I’ve mainly stuck with vibrators, a low-profile texture, tapered tentacle, or the smallest realistic dildo in my collection. The girth of this fantasy dildo looked easy enough, but the texture was a worry. Still, I was determined to try it anally.
Even with the firmest silicone available for the MTO colorations (5A), inserted Nocturnal Phantom anally was a bit of a challenge. The thin girth of the dildo had me needing to very carefully use my fingers to guide it in, as it wasn’t quite firm enough that I could just press it against my hole and slowly push it in. When I tried it that way, it just pushed itself either further up my butt crack or towards my pussy. I can’t even imagine trying to use a softer silicone for inserting this thin dildo because it was that much of a challenge for me.
Thankfully, once the dildo was inserted, I really enjoyed it anally. The texture was intense, but with slow thrusts, I liked it. Fast thrusts were too much, especially if the lube I was using was too thin and/or dried up too easily. I wasn’t a fan of cockwarming the fantasy dildo anally, unless I had another toy inserted vaginally.

My Final Thoughts on Master4Fancy’s Nocturnal Phantom
Even before Master4Fancy reached out to me prior to their launch of Seth, I was already enamored by their intricate designs and beautiful pours. The dreamy Cloud 9 coloration on Nocturnal Phantom reminds me of a sunny day with a few clouds in the sky. I was happy to find that the deep textures actually worked for me and my body, though I’m not sure I could take them on a thicker toy. As is, I was delighted by what Nocturnal Phantom allowed me to enjoy with its narrow girth and it makes me excited to start experimenting with more textures in the future!
I’d suggest having a desire to experiment with texture before buying Nocturnal Phantom, or already having some experience with textures. The design is cute as heck, so the good news is that if the textures don’t work for you, you’ve got a cute, discreet silicone sculpture to put on a bookcase!
