I’ll admit it: I’m a skeptic about a lot of things. Despite my love of the other ultra realistic dual density dildos from Solina Toys, I was skeptical about Balla’s “grindable dildo” marketing claim. Sure, the testicles are much larger than the testicles on their other models, but, in my mind, that doesn’t actually mean they’d work for grinding against.
So, I set out to test this “grinding dildo” claim to see if the balls do as they claim.
First, Meet Balla by Solina Toys
Solina Toys has quickly grown in popularity since they first launched about 2 years ago, and it’s easy to see why: each model is affordably priced, body safe, and ultra realistic, all with powerful suction cup bases. The quality is dependable model to model, and they make a variety of sizes to cater to almost every size preference.
Balla is no different when it comes to those basics that we have come to expect from Solina Toys. The main unique selling point with Balla is the grindable testicles, though the size and shape is different from the other models as well. With a perfectly cylindrical shaft, Balla has the same hyper realistic skin and vein texture, but the head is a slightly different shape from other Solina Toys dildos. The dildo is anal safe and both o-ring and suction harness compatible. Balla’s dimensions are:
- Total length: 8.27″ / 21cm
- Insertable length: 6.2″ / 15.75cm
- Head diameter: 1.7″ / 4.32cm
- Shaft diameter: 1.55″ / 3.94cm
- Ballsack length: 2.4″ / 6.1cm
- Ballsack diameter: 2.9″ / 7.37cm
- O-ring size: 2″ / 5.08cm

Solina Toys Balla Care Instructions
Cleaning your sex toys is important both before and after each use. To clean Solina Balla, all you need is warm water and an unscented, antibacterial soap that does not contain silicone (if you’re not sure, check the ingredients list for anything ending in “-cone”). Rinse the dildo, lather it up, then rinse again. Allow the dildo to fully dry before storing it.
I recently learned that dual density dildos, like those made by Solina Toys, should not be exposed to high heat, as it can cause delamination or warping. That means you should skip the dishwasher, boiling or baking the dildo as a means of sanitization. You can still fully sanitize the dildo though! Stick to a 10% bleach, 90% water mixture for about 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with hot water. Alternatively, you can also gently wipe the dildo with 70% isopropyl alcohol before rinsing.
Lubricant choice matters just as much as cleaning! Solina Toys advises that you should always avoid silicone based lubes as well as petroleum jelly. These can damage the surface of the dildo, making it no longer safe to use. Instead, use a water-based lube or natural plant oil lubricants. Oil lubes can leave a residue behind, so you may have to do some heavier washing, but if you’re using a grease cutting dish soap, the residue should come off fairly easily.

My Experiences Using Solina Balla
I’ve had quite a bit of time to use Balla, as it arrived at the same time as Maxima XXL. In fact, I’d hoped to publish this review much sooner than this, but Balla is so popular that it was out of stock for a while on Peepshow Toys’ website! So I patiently waited for it to be back in stock so that I could finally share this with you. It’s worked out for the best, because I was able to test Balla in even more ways than normal.
The only way I did not get to test Balla was anally. Cassie wasn’t interested in the size and though I’m getting close to taking that girth, I’m not quite there yet. If, in the future, I’m able to test Balla anally, I’ll be sure to update this accordingly!

Yeaaaa, About Balla’s Grindable Ballsack…
According to Peepshow Toys, Balla’s grindable ballsack is designed to stimulate the clitoris or perineum while in use. I found that this depends heavily on positioning and that my anatomy definitely plays a part in the ease of grinding. My labia are large and my clitoris is buried beneath them and a plump hood, so the ballsack hitting my clitoris required specific positions or for me to spread my labia. The ballsack was long enough to reach my clitoris, which I hadn’t expected to actually work. Positions that had my legs spread wider worked better for clitorial stimulation, since those helped my labia naturally open so I didn’t have to hold them open (a sensation I’m not a fan of).
Since I have a vulva and no prostate, I wasn’t really expecting any pleasurable stimulation from the reverse angle where the ballsack was against my perineum. However, I ended up really enjoying the sensation! I was extra pleased that it helped stimulate and relax my anus if I was planning to have any anal penetration later. Even without any direct anus contact, the ballsack stimulated the area enough that it just worked for me.

Though I was able to take Balla’s full length, I don’t know that everyone can. Those who find depth uncomfortable may find Balla a bit too long. I wasn’t able to make the grinding surface work for me without full insertion, except using the shaft as a handle to rub the balls against my anatomy. For those who struggle with depth, warming up prior to penetration may help make it more comfortable to take the full length.
Part of me was hoping that Balla’s scrotum would have enough movement to it that it would have some “swing” while thrusting, similar to Zian. Sadly, the firmness of the underside of the testicles was too firm for any swinging movement. If you’re looking for a dildo with swinging balls, Balla ain’t it.
For those wanting to use Balla for grinding, I would recommend using ample lubricant on the balls so the grinding is a more pleasurable sensation! Without lube, I experience more of a pulling/tugging sensation especially if I have longer public hair.

Riding Balla:
Honestly, I don’t do a lot of dildo riding off-camera. All of the riding I did with Balla was strictly on-camera, and I was pretty happy with the experience. The suction cup holds up well, maybe even too well. There were a couple times when riding Balla that my pussy gripped it so tight that the surface I suctioned it to came up off the ground or bed as I was trying to go up. I found that my best solution for riding Balla without that happening was to wrap my suction cup thigh harness around a pillow that I would then put my knees or legs on to keep it from lifting.
The grindable balls worked best for me when I was leaned forward while riding. If I wasn’t leaned over, my body’s up and down movements didn’t allow me the opportunity to hump back and forth to actually enjoy the grinder surface. Leaned forward, however, gave me a bit more of a natural spread so the balls could hit my clitoris directly and I was able to do more of a humping motion that worked better than the up and down motion.

Strap-On Penetration with Balla:
One of the things I like about the Solina Toys models that have balls is that there are two different spots for attaching an o-ring for strap-on play: around the suction cup or above the balls on the shaft itself. I prefer putting the o-ring around the suction cup base, as it then gives the receiver the ability to take the full shaft to the hilt. To be able to use the balls to grind against, the o-ring had to go around the suction cup, in my experience. Around the shaft meant that there was just a little tiny bit of extra space between the testicles and my body, enough that they no longer hit my clitoris.
I did try using Balla in a harness, however I wasn’t actually topping anyone with it. Instead, I had it in a harness for a POV video “using” it on the viewer. It’s hard to say whether the dildo handles well without having some sort of friction or grip. My wife tried topping me with the dildo in her harness, which she said was easy and the dildo handled well. On the receiving end, grinding wasn’t really an option if she was thrusting. There was too much in and out movement for grinding! The only way we found to actually grind was if Cassie didn’t move while fully inserted, with me moving my body against the dildo and her. Usually this involved her leaning forward on top of me or me on top leaned forward.

Cockwarming Balla:
If you’ve read my blog for a while, you may know that I love cockwarming, or inserting a dildo and leaving it be, usually while I’ve got a bullet vibrator going on my clitoris. Cockwarming with Balla was an enjoyable feeling for me. It’s thick enough to give me a feeling of fullness and if I rock my hips up and down, the big head provided great stimulation against my internal walls. I was able to achieve orgasm this way, though I much preferred having the balls facing downwards towards my butt so I could really enjoy the coronal ridge internally.
The plus side is that cockwarming is ideal for grinding against that scrotum! I tried it both lying on my front and back, with both the balls facing my backside and my front. Lying on my front with the ballsack facing my front was the best way for me to achieve pleasurable clitoral stimulation. On my back with the ballsack facing my front didn’t give quite enough pressure, though I was able to slide a thin bullet vibe between my labia and the dildo for better clitoral stimulation.
I also tried using a wand vibrator pressed against the suction cup of the dildo while cockwarming. This ended up feeling really nice as the vibrations felt strongest in the scrotum, making it perfect for grinding against. I enjoyed the sensation with the balls facing both towards my belly and towards my backside. Successfully pressing a wand against the right spot on the dildo was easier with a wand that has a curved handle, though I imagine it’s due to my short arms/big belly combo that makes reach a challenge.

Thrusting with Balla:
Balla’s big head felt amazing moving inside of me! I loved it during strap-on play as well as having it hand pumped into me. Thrusting the dildo into myself felt fantastic too, and I was able to do so fairly comfortably. With my grip issues and tendinitis, I found it easiest when on my back while holding the dildo by the suction cup with the scrotum facing my belly button. I’d palm the underside of the testicles with the suction cup between two fingers, which didn’t flare up my nerve damage but was not good on my tendinitis.
The suction cup base makes using Balla with my suction cup handle much easier than a non-suction cup dildo that requires a double-sided suction cup. There’s no hinge-like movement or droop, so it feels much more sturdy and stable too.

Comparatively Speaking:
Balla’s shaft diameter is comparable to Aura, Mega L, and Prima, though Balla has a longer insertable length than Aura and Prima, and shorter than Mega L. It’s also important to note that 0.5″ / 1.27cm difference in diameter can still make a big difference in use. Balla is slightly thicker than Spotta, but Spotta’s head has a more unique shape that I find more pleasurable. Maxima is thicker than Balla, both on the head and shaft. Maxima XXL leads me to hope that maybe we could have an XXL version of Balla later down the line. Here’s hoping that those in charge of sizing and product development read this and take note.
My favorite parts of Balla are the head and the balls. The head has good squish, making it comfortable and easy to insert, and the overall shape is delightful as it moves inside of me. I think the scrotum on Balla looks more realistic than those found on the other Solina Toys dildos, with lots of textured skin lines that feel nice to grind against.

Pros:
- strong suction cup base
- made with body safe silicone
- head shape is delightful for g-spot stimulation
- large ballsack is designed for grinding
- realistic textures provide ample stimulation while thrusting
- anal safe
- o-ring and suction harness compatible
Cons:
- grindable testicles require full insertion and the right positioning
- ballsack does not have any “swing” to it
- size may not be big enough for size royalty
- only available in one skin tone

My Final Verdict on Solina Toys Balla
As long as Solina Toys keeps making dependably consistent quality dildos, I’m going to remain a fan. Balla is an excellent addition to their line-up, and it’s a fairly approachable size and shape. I overall enjoyed testing Balla, and I’ve found the model quite comfortable for longer periods of use. Though I did not test Balla anally, I imagine the head shape and size is good for prostate stimulation since it was good for g-spot stimulation.
Any fans of the Mega L, Aura or Prima will likely find Balla an easy and comfortable change, while size royalty like me may find themselves wishing Balla was a bit thicker (if not also longer). I would recommend Balla to anyone looking for a realistic size and shape dildo, particularly one with realistic balls. Like all the dildos from Solina Toys, it’s a damn nice sex toy!
