When it comes to cute sex toys, I have trouble saying “no” and stopping myself from purchasing. So when I saw KumoCoom’s Maid’s Secret fantasy dildo, I almost immediately purchased it. I paused only long enough to make sure that I hadn’t blown my “Toys to Review” budget for the month. Thankfully, I hadn’t and I quickly placed an order.
Maid’s Secret is quite possibly The Cutest dildo in my collection, and I’m not at all ashamed that I 100% let aesthetics lead my purchasing decision here. Can you blame me?!

The KumoCoom Kitchen
Started by two friends, Match Roll and Croissant, KumoCoom‘s recipe started with the desire to find cute, cartoonish toys. Their lore goes a little deeper than that though, as the Chinese indie fantasy toy company’s backstory is a factory run by deliciously cute pastries. Each of the 7 employees has a tasty nickname, Cookie, Croissant, Matcha Roll, Butter, Strawberry Ice, Daifuku, and Egg Puff, and brings a different unique strength and focus to the team. The shop doesn’t just focus on bakery themed designs, though. You’ll also find sea themes as well.
KumoCoom’s designs are playful takes on classic fantasy shapes, like Pupcake, a knotted fantasy dildo, and Nebula Pony, an equine fantasy. Each of their 11 toys in their current catalog have signature pour styles to choose from, and are made with high gloss platinum cure silicone that makes them shine. Once a month, KumoCoom does special drops that are posted on their TaoBao shopfront before they make it onto their website. These have ranged from food themed pours to glow in the dark pours to cow pours, and they’re quick to sell out since they’re one-of-a-kind pieces.
Cookie let me in on a secret: KumoCoom is getting ready to launch a marine-creature themed squirting toy, with a design for a beaded toy and an ovipositor in the design and development queue. Pardon me while I scream in “ovipositor.” I didn’t get any sneak peaks, but I’m just imagining what kind of cute designs they’ll release!
One of the things that I’ve appreciated most about KumoCoom as a customer is that they are very responsive to their customers. I sent a quick email after placing my order with them, asking what firmness of silicone they use, and I had a response within 1 business day. Everything is soft 00-30, by the way. My customer service experience is not the only good experience I’ve heard either, which speaks well to their valuing their community. Every chat I’ve had with Cookie has felt very professional but friendly, and she mentioned that they’re open to questions and ideas!

Get to Know Maid’s Secret
As a tentacle lover, Maid’s Secret just had to be my first purchase from KumoCoom. There are 5 sizes available, ranging from XS up to XL, with 3 colorations currently available: Yellow, Black and Pink. The design is not your average tentacle design. Instead of round suckers, Maid’s Secret has 6 rows of heart shaped suckers. The base looks like a frilly French Maid skirt with apron, complete with a tiny little bow. The dildo tapers down, with some low-profile “dripping” texture on the opposite side of the shaft from the suckers. Maid’s Secret comes standard with a suction cup base!
All of KumoCoom’s toys are made with soft 00-30 platinum cure silicone and have a semi-glossy finish. The 00-30 has a lot of squish, which also means the texture isn’t quite as intense as a firmer silicone. It’s also got some shake to it, but maintains its shape, without drooping, when held at a 90degree angle. I opted for a yellow size medium Maid’s Secret tentacle dildo, which has the following dimensions:

Maid’s Secret Cleaning and Care Instructions
Platinum cure silicone is a pretty durable material, and is also very easy to clean. You should always clean toys both before and after use, because silicone tends to attract dust, hair, lint, pollen, etc. To wash KumoCoom’s Maid’s Secret tentacle dildo, all you need is warm water and an unscented, antibacterial soap that does not contain silicone. If you’re not sure what to avoid, check the ingredients list for anything ending in “-cone” and skip that soap option if you see that. Dish and hand soaps are fine to use! You don’t actually need to pay for a specialty toy cleaner, since it’s just overpriced soap.
In addition to being easy to clean, platinum cure silicone is also very easy to sanitize. As a non-porous material, bacterias and pathogens can sit on the surface of the toy, but as long as you’re using an anti-bacterial soap, you won’t need to sanitize a dildo often. If you’re selling a toy, sharing with a non-fluid bound lover, or have had a bacterial infection (or show symptoms of one), you’ll want to do a deep clean. To deep clean or sanitize a solid platinum cure silicone dildo, you can do one of the following:
- boil in water for up to 10 minutes, using silicone utensils or tongs to move the toy around so it’s not resting against the sides or bottom of the pot.
- soak in a 1:10 bleach:water for 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly with hot water. Do not boil bleach.
- bake in a preheated oven at 350F/180C on a lined baking sheet for 10 minutes
- run through the dishwasher on a Sanitize cycle without detergent.
- gently wipe down with 70% isopropyl alcohol then rinse thoroughly with hot water.
Make sure you’re choosing the right lubricant to use with Maid’s Secret too! KumoCoom recommends using water based lubes and avoiding silicone based lubricants.
My Experiences with KumoCoom Maid’s Secret
I’m a sucker for cute toys, and I have zero regrets about this absolute impulse purchase I made. I made the purchase before I even knew that they use softer silicone than I tend to prefer (00-50), because I just wanted something that cute on my shelf. The size fit my budget and my preferences, and I picked the pour I thought was the cutest. Upon arrival, the yellow pour was even more cute with the single flat colors! It looks like one of those creamy gummy candies and I love it.
I’ve mentioned recently that I don’t have a lot of soft toys in 00-30, and the two that I do have, Universal Series and Lily Bud, feel so vastly different. I was a little worried about the 00-30 being too soft for me, and it kind of was but not in an unusable way. I personally prefer 00-50, though a lot of people prefer softer, squishier toys. I think I would enjoy the texture on Maid’s Secret a little more in a firmer silicone, but as is, the texture was really comfortable to take vaginally. I was able to enjoy long, hard thrusts with it for a longer period of time than I sometimes can with firmer toys, which feels like a win for me.
The texture on the dildo is on the low end of the spectrum, both in terms of amount and profile. The suckers on the front of the tentacle dildo are heart shaped, and have what I perceive to be a higher profile than the texture on the back. Opposite of the suckers, on the back of the shaft, is a drip like texture. I was able to enjoy long, hard thrusts with it for a longer period of time than I sometimes can with similarly textured dildos, which is thanks to a combination of the two and the firmness.
I’m not sure if all their toys have suction cup bases, however Maid’s Secret does. It suctioned to surfaces pretty easily, and stayed put relatively well on both the suction cup ergonomic handle and the Body Dock thigh strap. Suctioning it to my textured bathroom walls to use while standing in the shower also felt pretty secure.
Medium was a good size for me for cockwarming the tentacle dildo. It gave me a feeling of fullness when fully inserted, especially around my opening, and I enjoyed feeling my muscles clamping down on it each time I achieved orgasm when I paired it with a bullet vibrator externally. It also worked nicely for cockwarming while receiving oral sex. According to Cassie, the base never got in the way.
Cockwarming wasn’t the only type of stimulation I enjoyed with KumoCoom’s Maid’s Secret! Thrusting the dildo into myself or having it thrust into me by a partner was also very pleasurable to me. I preferred to have the hearts facing towards my belly button, but the dildo was comfortable facing the opposite direction too. I never got to the point of overstimulation, even with hard, fast thrusts. As long as there was lube, I was good!
On the lube note. With high gloss toys like those made by KumoCoom, I’ve found that gel like lubricants tend to last longer. Some users don’t love high gloss because of how easily lube seems to vanish from the surface, which I do find to be the case when using lubes that are more liquidy or runny. Thicker viscosity lubricants do the trick for me, though I do have to reapply more lube during longer periods of play.
Using the dildo vaginally during PIA double penetration was a lot more comfortable than I expected it to be, likely because of the soft silicone. It did get intense this way, but not as quickly as I thought it would. I enjoyed both thrusting and cockwarming with the fantasy dildo inserted vaginally, but I preferred cockwarming! Thrusting made the dildo more likely to pop out during intense orgasms, especially if it was already on the outward stroke as my muscles clamped down.
I did not try the tentacle dildo anally. Cassie didn’t try the dildo either, as she prefers larger sizes. If either of us ends up using the dildo anally, I’ll be sure to update this review accordingly!
Cassie did use the dildo on me in a strap-on harness though! The toy handled pretty well, but similarly to using the dildo during DP, it was prone to popping out during orgasms. I notice that softer toys pop out more often than firmer toys, at least during my orgasms, which is one of the reasons I tend to like firmer silicone.

My Final Thoughts on Maid’s Secret by KumoCoom
I know that making impulse purchase decisions based on aesthetics alone isn’t always a wise decision, however I’m quite pleased with KumoCoom’s Maid’s Secret fantasy dildo. I do wish it was firmer so I could appreciate the texture more, but as is, it’s quite comfortable and I’m able to use it for longer periods of time than I can when using firmer toys. I’ve got my eyes set on a few other toys from the indie brand, and I’m excited to see the new models they’re working on currently!
Between the size range, low profile texture, and softness of the silicone, I think that Maid’s Secret is a great option for those who are wanting an introduction to fantasy sex toys.
