One of the things that I really love about the indie toy niche is the various different approaches that shops take, like furry vs fantasy vs non-phallic vs realistic. All of them are essentially making the same product, platinum cure silicone sex toys, but they’re all just a bit different. Like Element Pleasures for example, they’re making non-phallic sex toys that focus on the elements around us: Air, Earth, Fire and Water.

One of those elements is the star of today’s review: the Water Element, from the Universal Series collection by Element Pleasures, a new indie toy company to welcome to the wonderful world of silicone sex toys! First, let me introduce you to the American maker.

Meet Element Pleasures

Brianna, the owner of Element Pleasures, started the indie toy brand after experimenting with silicone art and finding herself loving the medium. Her interests in self-expression, fantasy worlds, astrology, and nature led her to follow her intuition to create something special that would enable others to experiment with their own pleasure and energies. Tired of the mass-produced sex toy market, she sought to build a unique brand that would encourage others to explore their intimate self-expression.

When I first saw Element Pleasures pop up on my timeline on Bluesky, I was really curious about the indie dildo company. The first time I visited their website, I was pretty confused though. Elements? Collections? I didn’t know what any of it meant, but I didn’t let that sway me from reaching out when I saw them post a call for reviewers to partner with. In chatting with Brianna, I began to better understand not only what Elements and Collections mean, but also how passionate she is about her mission to encourage others to connect with themselves and better understand their pleasure.

What are the Collections and Elements? Each Collection is a different model or toy design and each Element is the pour or coloration itself, though Brianna is also experimenting with engraved designs that each vary Element to Element. Currently, there are three Collections, or models, available: The Universal Series, Butterfly Series, and Primal Elements Collection. The Primal Elements Collection is where you’ll find the engraved variations that you won’t find in the Universal or Butterfly Series. You can opt to shop by Collection or by Element. Each Element is has a unique pour style or coloration for each Collection, but you’ll see similar colors throughout each Collection. For example, the Fire Element has reds, yellows, oranges, and golds, whereas the Earth Element has greens, browns, coppers, and grays. Since these are all hand-poured, it is expected that the ribbons or marbles or fades of colors will be slightly different.

Element Pleasures is a new company, so the designs and pour styles haven’t received any formal recognition from award shows, however that hasn’t stopped Brianna from developing her signature style of dramatic color movement, shimmer and layered effects. She loves making pieces that reflect each of the Elements, as she experiments with gradients, engraving, transparency, and layering. Brianna shared with me that she’s currently working on developing more fantasy-inspired designs to experiment with different silhouettes and sensory details, something I can’t wait to see!!

As I’ve chatted with Brianna, it’s clear that she cares a lot about expressing her creativity in crafting each and every design from start to finish. Her passion for creating something magical is in its early stages with Element Pleasures, and I am excited to watch the indie brand grow!

Get to Know the Universal Series Water Element

Each of the Elements in the Universal Series share the same physical design, a bulbous head that leads down to a tapered shaft. The head is curved forward, allowing the non-phallic dildo to be used for g-spot or prostate stimulation. There is minimal texture on the dildo, though you will find some soft, vertical lines up the shaft from the base. The base is flared enough that the Universal Series is safe for anal use and can be used in an o-ring strap-on harness.

All of Element Pleasures’ dildos are made with platinum cure silicone in 00-30 firmness. There is a good amount of squish while still allowing for enough pressure for g-spot or prostate orgasms. I got a size medium Water Element, called Tideveil, from the Universal Series, which has the following dimensions:

  • Total length: 6.5″ / 16.51cm
  • Insertable length: 5.5″ / 13.97cm
  • Head diameter: 1.6″ / 4.064cm
  • Head circumference: 5″ / 12.7cm
  • Max shaft diameter: 2″ / 5.08cm
  • Max shaft circumference: 6.5″ / 16.51cm
  • Base width: 3″ / 7.62cm
  • O-ring size: 2″ / 5.08cm

Care Instructions for Element Pleasures Silicone Sex Toys

Because all of the toys made by Element Pleasures are poured with platinum cure silicone, cleaning them is very easy. The Universal Series doesn’t have much texture, so you won’t even need to use a soft brush to help clean them! All you need is warm water and your favorite unscented, antibacterial soap that does not contain silicone (just avoid any soaps with a word that ends in “cone” in the ingredients list). Rinse the dildo, lather it up with your preferred soap, then rinse again with warm or hot water, and set aside to dry. If you’re unable to allow the sex toy to air dry, you can use a dry microfiber towel to pat dry the dildo then store it with a silica packet in a storage bag.

One of the things I love about silicone is that it can be actually sanitized. Many other materials that are porous, such as jelly, rubber, or TPE, cannot be sanitized! To deep clean or sanitize your silicone sex toys, you have a few different options:

  • run through the dishwasher on the top shelf, on a sanitize setting without detergent
  • soak in a 10% bleach/90% water mixture for about 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly
  • boil in water for up to 10 minutes, using silicone cooking utensils to stir to make sure the toy isn’t resting against the sides or bottom of the pot. Do not boil bleach!
  • bake in a preheated oven at 350F/180C on a parchment paper lined baking sheet for 10 minutes

Those porous materials I just mentioned? They’re also not safe to store your platinum cure silicone sex toys with! Porous materials can damage them, so it’s important to store your sex toys separately if you’re unsure about the material. It is, however, safe to store platinum cure silicone touching other toys made with platinum cure silicone, as well as glass and/or stainless steel. Just avoid letting your silicone dildos rest against any heavily textured surfaces such as wire racks or unfinished wood.

My Experiences with the Universal Series by Element Pleasures

After opening the package from Element Pleasures, I was stunned by the simple elegance of their designs. Brianna sent me both the Universal Series and Butterfly Series dildos to review, each in the Water Element. The models themselves aren’t drastically different, but it was only when looking at them side by side that I was really able to appreciate their subtle differences that I’m looking forward to exploring more when I review the Butterfly Series in the future.

I don’t have a lot of dildos in my collection that have the 00-30 firmness that many indie toy shops label as “Soft,” so testing the Universal Series dildo was interesting to me. I was a bit worried that the bulbous head on the dildo wouldn’t give me as much pressure against my g-spot as I like, especially after the softness of the Lily Bud Dildo ended up being too soft for me. To my surprise, Element Pleasures‘ 00-30 firmness feels more firm than UC’s 00-40 when I squish tested the heads of each by hand.

Which resulted in better, easier g-spot orgasms when using the non-realistic dildo. A lot of them, in fact. The bulbous head sits at just enough of a curve that when the dildo is only partially inserted, it hits the spot just as easily as fingers curling inside. The pressure is also enough that when pairing the blue dildo with a vibrator on my clitoris, it only took me moments to achieve orgasm, even when I was trying to edge myself instead. I’m surprised at how well the firmness worked for me!

Moving down the shaft, the front of the dildo is a bit deceptive. From the front, you can slightly see the taper, but it’s when you turn it to the side, suddenly you can see just how dramatic the taper actually is. The shaft itself is slightly triangular in shape, but with very soft, rounded “corners.” The back of the dildo, the pinnacle of the triangle, gradually moves away from the front of the dildo, or base of the triangle. The result is a very gentle stretch the deeper you take the dildo.

Of course, I loved it. I love a nice tapered dildo that gives me a little bit of a stretch! It is a gentle stretch, as the minimum circumference of the size medium shaft is 5.97″ / 15.164cm going up to a maximum circumference of 6.5″ / 16.51cm. It’s not a huge difference, but it feels fantastic and comfortable. I’m sure the squish level 00-30 silicone plays a big part in the comfortability of the stretch too!

The only texture on the dildo is some sparse vertical texture, in the shape of vertical lines up the shaft. It’s pretty shallow texture, and I didn’t really notice it while in use. Vertical textures, especially shallow vertical lines like those on the Universal Series, aren’t as noticeable to me as horizontal textures. It also helps that the silicone is on the soft side, since the firmer the silicone, the more noticeable the texture.

Using the dildo was orgasmic, especially with some movement. Thrusting was great, but so was inserting it and then rocking it up and down to hit my g-spot repeatedly. Even when I inserted it and let my thighs grip the base while I rocked my hips up and down was pleasurable, and it was intensified in a great way when I used it with a vibrator on my clitoris.

Testing the dildo in a strap-on was a lot of fun too. Though I didn’t get to use the dildo on my wife, Cassie, she did use it on me. It fit right into her RodeoH harness, and the base wasn’t so thick that it was uncomfortable for her. Cassie really enjoyed strap-on topping with the dildo and said that it was easy to wield and not heavy enough to be floppy at a 90degree angle. I was on the receiving end of the Universal Series, and really enjoyed slow, shallow strokes as my arousal built up further. The sensation of being thrust into while gradually stretching me out and hitting my g-spot? Satisfying as heck!

I did not try riding with the Universal Series dildo, though it does fit my size medium double sided suction cup from LustArts. I mainly used the double sided suction cup to attach the g-spot dildo to my ergonomic handle. As expected, the dildo does droop with the suction cup between it and the handle.

The Universal Series dildo is a larger girth than I can take anally, so unfortunately I cannot report back to you, my friends, for anal penetration. The base is flared enough that the silicone sex toy is anal friendly, though!

My Final Thoughts on Pleasure Elements Universal Series Dildo

After seeing Element Pleasures on BlueSky, I was really curious about their designs and they looked so good for g-spot stimulation. That’s what really drew me in, but what’s kept my interest piqued is the passion that Brianna shares and her eagerness to learn and grow and explore. Testing the Universal Series was very pleasurable for me, and I’ll admit that the 00-30 silicone is now more appealing to me than ever before, because of this dildo.

I would recommend the Universal Series to anyone who is looking for a simple, comfortable design that aims for optimal g-spot or prostate stimulation. The minimal texture is approachable for newer users who would like a gentle stretch, and more experienced users could use a toy like this as a perfect warm-up to avoid overstimulation with more textured toys afterwards.
