One that fans of gentler vibrations should just skip over, because this vibrator is not for them.

The Basics of Xara Toys Fiend Intense Vibrator

With a sleek, shiny finish, Xara Toys’ Fiend bullet vibrator has a slanted tip and a very slightly flared base. The flare is not wide enough for anal use, so please don’t try! The vibrator is marketed as having a classic “lipstick tip” with the “ideal width for covering the clitoris,” though it can also be used externally on nipples, penis glans, or frenulum. The powerful mini-vibrator has 10 vibration functions: 3 steady speeds and 7 patterns. It has a single button to power on and cycle through the vibration fuctions.

The teal vibrator is made with non-porous ABS plastic. It is rechargeable and has an IPX7 rating, meaning that it is safe to submerge in up to 3.28ft / 1meter of water for up to 30 minutes. Care Instructions for Xara Toys Fiend

Even though the Fiend bullet vibrator by Xara Toys is intended for external use, you still need to wash it both before and after each use! Washing is really easy: grab your favorite unscented, anti-bacterial soap and wash with warm water. Allow the device to fully dry before storing it. If you need to do a deeper clean, motorized sex toys like Fiend only have one option: soak in a 10% bleach/90% water mixture for up to 10 minutes, then wash with soap.

Since it’s made with non-porous ABS plastic, you can use any water, silicone, or hybrid lubricant you want with the Fiend. You should avoid petroleum and oil based lubricants, as they are more difficult to remove from the surface and charging contacts.

The vibrator will arrive with a partial charge, but trust me: you want to give it time to fully charge! Using the included charging cord, plug the USB end into a charging block or a USB port and attach the magnet end to the base of the vibrator. The flared base will flash as the vibrator charges. The lights will turn steady once the vibe is done charging. Charging takes about 2 hours, with a runtime of ~45-60 minutes.

How to Use Xara Toys Fiend Bullet Vibrator

After you’ve patiently waited for the vibrator to finish charging, it’s time to go crazy. To turn the vibrator on, simply press and hold the button on the base for 3 seconds. You’ll feel a double vibration and the lights on the base will come on, indicating the device is powered up. With a single button control on the bottom of the Xara Toys Fiend, it’s pretty easy to cycle through the vibration functions. Just give the button a quick press to begin cycling through each function. To turn the device off, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. You’ll feel another double vibration, but the lights will turn off to indicate it has powered down.

Personally, I find the shiny plastic surface of Fiend to give me enough friction and movement that I often use it without lubricant. However, it’s ok if you do need lube! I recommend lubing your anatomy directly, rather than the vibrator. Shiny surfaces tend to cause lube to slide off easier. Plus, lube fingers while holding a lubed up bullet vibrator is a comedy waiting to happen.

Battle of the Bullets: We-Vibe Tango vs Xara Toys Fiend

My very first thought after pulling the Xara Toys Fiend vibrator out of the box was “wow, this looks like a larger version of the original We-Vibe Tango lipstick vibrator.” And honestly, that first impression has not gone away. It does look similar, though larger and teal. Believe it or not, I actually still have an original, functioning Tango, so I want to compare the two a little bit.

For the record: I have not tried newer versions of the Tango, just the original with the single button control. I cannot make any judgement calls about newer variations of the Tango or of the Tango X. I have read a lot of people comparing the original Tango to the newer version of the Tango, and wishing the original was still manufactured. Do what you want with that information, and also good luck trying to find the original Tango in stock anywhere 😭

Both are powerful bullet vibrators, both are rechargeable and waterproof submersible. Both are made with shiny ABS plastic with slanted “lipstick vibrator” tips. The Fiend is capable of standing up on its own, while the Tango cannot. Tango is quieter than Fiend. I find Fiend easier to hold than the Tango, thanks to the width.

The original Tango beats out the Fiend on both number of steady speeds and runtime, especially for someone like me who likes to start low and slow, edging myself towards one big orgasm. I tried with Fiend, but I couldn’t start low and slow because the vibrator just simply lacks lower intensity vibration functions.

Fiend beats out Tango in terms of strength. Tango is/was great for people who want to start low and slow, like me. Fiend is great for people who want a compact vibrator with the strength of a much bigger vibe. I’m not saying the Fiend is 1:1 level strength compared to most wand vibrators, but there are some wand vibrators that have lower power levels that are similar to that of the Fiend. Tango’s vibrations are more rumbly in nature, while Fiend’s are a combination of buzzy and rumbly and deep. There’s something more to the vibrations from Fiend, and I haven’t quite figured out how and why that is.

Fiend-ishly Good Experiences

Holy powerful vibrator, Batman! The Fiend bullet vibrator by Xara Toys is freaking strong. When I read the “Intense Vibrator” product title on Peepshow Toys site, I didn’t quite comprehend how powerful they meant. Even with the image of it vibrating in a jar of water didn’t help me fully comprehend it. This vibrator is strong. Super strong. Break my brain strong. Send shocks through my system strong.

The vibrations are so intense that this is not the first vibrator I grab when I’m enjoying solo time. I need a more gentle warm up, lest I become overstimulated before I can even achieve orgasm. After I’m properly warmed up, I grab the Fiend and either a dildo or an insertable vibrator to pair it with. Penetration with clitoral stimulation is the easiest and fastest way for me to achieve orgasm, and every time I used the Fiend when paired with a dildo or vibrator, I orgasmed.

With the two bullet vibrators I’ve returned to the most often, Maximum Swan Bullet and Limited Addictions Bullet, I can achieve orgasm with just the vibrator on my clitoris. Fiend, however, was too much for me to handle without additional stimulation. It was just *too* powerful, leading to overstimulation. The power felt less overstimulating when I did use a dildo or vibrator internally with the Fiend. I know it sounds crazy that my solution to overstimulation from a single toy was to add a second toy to the mix, but it worked for me.

There’s something different about the Fiend, though. The way the vibrations traveled through my clit to my g-spot was unlike any bullet vibrator I’ve tried before. Both with and without the silicone ring, I didn’t struggle to hold the vibrator until a few weeks ago when I injured a tendon in my wrist. Prior to my injury, my grip issues didn’t cause me any problems while holding the vibrator. I do prefer using the silicone ring, just so the vibrations travel a little bit less. After my injury, holding vibrator was fine until I moved my hand away. The stiffness from holding it at one angle caused a lot of pain, though short lived.

When I tried using Fiend during PIV and PIA sex, I’m fairly certain that my brain simply broke. I’m primarily a cockwarming style user with dildos and vibrators in my solo play, so switching from that to thrusting while the Fiend was pressed against my anatomy sent me over the edge quickly and repeatedly. Final Thoughts on the Xara Toys Fiend Vibrator

Intense is the name of the game when it comes to Xara Toys Fiend. There is nothing gentle about this vibrator. I don’t think I have ever encountered a bullet vibrator this powerful before, though I’d admit that I haven’t tried as many bullet vibes as I’ve tried dildos and/or larger vibrators. It’s very, very powerful.

Because of the power level, I think Fiend is best for people who prefer strong vibrators. Those who prefer gentle vibrations should avoid this one. I’d also recommend avoiding the Fiend if you are worried about privacy during use, due to the noise level.
