As I continue on my journey of reviewing European indie toy companies, I’m thrilled to share today’s review! I purchased TERLUS from Magic Within, a futuristic fantasy dildo company based in Czech Republic. This was my first purchase from them, and has one of my favorite design features: a delicious mid-shaft swell.
I could easily start swooning right away, it’s just that good. But, since it’s my first time reviewing a toy from Magic Within, let me first introduce you to the shop behind the curvy design.
First, Get to Know Magic Within
Having experience working with silicone through the movie industry, MIWI and her partner were looking for something creative to do between projects, which eventually led them to the fantasy dildo community. During covid, a former colleague of theirs started making fantasy toys, and after 6 months of casual conversations between MIWI and her partner, the two of them started getting more and more serious about making fantasy toys. They dove head first into learning about indie shops and the workflow before finally deciding to just do it.
Inspired by fantasy and sci-fi aesthetics, Magic Within started with a hand-sculpture of CEPHALLUS and grew from there, with several new models and remasters of ERYTHA and FERREA on the horizon. Though they have not yet received any nominations for their designs, Magic Within has had a really wonderful reception in the fantasy dildo community and become best known for their intricate hand-painted pours. They love seeing inspiration pictures from the community, though MIWI shared that she loves doing pours based on video game characters and occasionally nature.

Magic Within has a small team of MIWI, her partner, and their 3D modeler, Juno. MIWI’s partner and their 3D sculptor are part time, so MIWI handles most everything herself. Her partner helps with shipping, logistics, advice, packaging orders when things are too busy, and lots of emotional support. She mentioned that she would love to collaborate with someone in the future to help make the master molds she uses for pouring, since she is slower at making those masters (if you’re based in Europe and have experience with making masters, reach out to MIWI on the Contact Us page).
While chatting with MIWI, it was really clear to me just how passionate and excited she is about not only her own brand, but also the community surrounding indie sex toy companies. “I don’t think I’ve ever met a community so positive, kind and open to share and learn from each other. It’s helped us find joy with creating again,” MIWI shared with me. As a big advocate of creating and/or finding community myself, I agree with her that the indie toy community is one of the kindest and most encouraging communities I’ve been a part of.
Shopping Magic Within is an easy and mostly straight-forward experience. They occasionally do inventory drops, which are announced on social media and they always offer single color customs of their designs and MTO drip pours of CEPHALLUS. Single color customs are not the only custom option, though! There are three custom options for those seeking something more unique:
- Your own design, using line art of their models. Think of it as a sexy adult coloring book! Print or download their provided line art, and color how you’d like the toy to look. You can upload up to 5 versions and they’ll help you pick!
- They design based on a character of your choice. You provide the character name, where it’s from, and upload a photo of the character, then they’ll come up with a design to match.
- They design based on your description. No photos required, unless you’re referencing something as inspiration.

Meet TERLUS
Talk about curves! TERLUS by Magic Within has a curved, tapered tip that leads down to a mid-shaft swell, then narrows down before flaring out once more for the base. The texture is plentiful, though not very raised, with small scale like bumps, vertical mech/tech looking linear shapes, with a strong coronal ridge and a single rounded ridge beneath it. Magic Within considers this a “light to medium” textured toy. It is available in 3 sizes, and can be customized as a single color with 2 firmness options, or as a more advanced custom with 4 firmness options. The model was sculpted by Deviant Gardens.
I opted for a size medium in the medium 00-50 firmness, which does have a good amount of squish. Many toy makers refer to 00-50 firmness as the closest firmness to an erect penis (outside of dual density, that is). The size medium is closer in size to what I would consider a size small, though the girth of the mid-shaft swell is likely what keeps it a size medium. The dimensions are:
- Total length: 5.9″ / 15cm
- Insertable length: 5.1″ / 13cm
- Maximum circumference: 5.5″ / 14cm
- Tip circumference: 2.56″ / 6.5cm
- O-ring size: 1.75″ / 0.689cm

Care Instructions for Magic Within TERLUS
Since all of Magic Within’s designs are made with platinum cure silicone, cleaning their fantasy dildos and grinders are really easy. You should always wash your sex toys both before and after using them, and the easiest way to do so is with warm water and an unscented, anti-bacterial soap. You don’t need a specialty toy cleaner, as it’s really just another type of soap! Dawn or Seventh Generation dish soap are both great options.
If you need to do a deeper clean of your fantasy dildo, you have a few different options to sanitize silicone:
- Soak it in 10% bleach/90% water for up to 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly
- Boil in water, using a silicone spatula to make sure the toy is not resting against the sides or bottom of the pot
- Run it through the dishwasher on a sanitize setting without detergent
- Bake in a 350F/180C preheated oven on a parchment paper lined baking sheet for 10 minutes
Cleaning isn’t the only part of caring for your silicone dildos, though! Magic Within recommends only using water-based or oil-based lubricants, and avoiding silicone or hybrid lubes, which can damage the toy.
Storing and using dildos are another part of properly caring for your toy. When storing, do not let your platinum cure silicone toys rest against toys made from any questionable materials such as PVC, TPE, jelly, rubber, or non-platinum cure silicone. You should also avoid storing them against any abrasive materials. While using dildos, do not bite or scratch them.

My Experiences with TERLUS and Magic Within
Magic Within has been on my radar since I moved to the EU, and when I saw they were having a sale during the holiday season last year, I jumped at the opportunity to treat myself to something from them. I purchased a custom TERLUS in size medium, and I asked for 00-50 firmness with a marble of black, gold and silver (I was feeling inspired by my purchase of Nymf Tulipe around the same time). Since I wasn’t ordering a single color custom, we had a few emails back and forth, and after they poured the design for me, they gave me the opportunity to say “yes” or “no” to the pour.
It was my first time ever having a company ask me to approved a pour before sending, so I was curious what would happen if I hadn’t said that I liked it. MIWI shared that if I had asked for a re-pour, she does one free re-pour for custom models. If I wasn’t happy with the pour, we would work to figure out what needs to be improved on, and she would try to make it right on the second try. Customs that are not approved on the first pour are usually offered in inventory drops. I was surprised to have a brand offer this, since I’d never come across it before. Since then, I’ve had another company offer this as well!
I was interested in TERLUS specifically because of the curvy shape and my love for mid-shaft swells. I have a couple toys in my collection with similar-ish curvy shapes, like Charm, Grovetusk and Shadow Demon, but none of them have a curved, tapered tip and a mid-shaft swell that narrows before the base. I love dildos that have a mid-shaft swell that narrow down before the base, as they give me a really nice feeling of fullness without a full on knot. My hope for TERLUS was that the mid-shaft swell would sit against my g-spot while cockwarming, to give an internal pressure internally while using a bullet vibrator on my clitoris.

Which ended up feeling incredible. I love when I have a hope for a specific type of sensation from a toy, and then the toy exceeds my hopes. I strongly preferred the swell’s curve angled upwards towards my belly button, though even with it facing towards my back, it still felt amazing. The swell gave me a slight “locked-in” feeling, similar to knotting, but to a less intense level. A knot is harder to just push out because of the shape, whereas a swell can be pushed out as vaginal muscles contract. Thankfully, my thick thighs also helped keep it locked-in.
During solo play, inserting the dildo and leaving it be while using a vibrator on my clitoris, aka cockwarming, was my favorite. I didn’t do as much rocking my hips back and forth or up and down as I usually do, as the base is small enough that my thighs didn’t really grip it. Instead, my thighs just pressed against the base to keep it inserted even when my body was trying to push it out.
Insertion itself was always really easy and comfortable for me thanks to the tapered tip. The slight curve and prominent coronal ridge also made for delightful g-spot stimulation, which then positioned the swell right at my opening. This gave me a slight stretching feeling, though the maximum circumference isn’t really a big stretch for me (that starts around 6″ / 15.24cm). It’s a gentle stretch for me that I really appreciate, especially on tender days.

Since my sex life has become even more active over the last 7 months, having smaller toys like this one has become really helpful for me on days when I’m having penetration multiple times. The 00-50 is soft enough that it feels comfortable, while still allowing me to enjoy both the texture and swell of TERLUS. I’ve really enjoyed using this small fantasy dildo as a warm-up toy for taking larger toys just as much as I’ve enjoyed using it at the end of the day when I’ve already received penetration.
TERLUS also was really nice for thrusting, though it was a bigger challenge for me to do on my own since there’s not much extra length to the size medium. It did work with my size medium double sided suction cup from LustArts, so I could pair it with an ergonomic handle. The most challenging part of using any dildo with the ergonomic handle is the insertion itself. However, once TERLUS was inserted, I was able to just lie back and enjoy thrusting the dildo into myself without uncomfortable positions on my neck, back and shoulders.
Thankfully, my wife, Cassie, was very eager to use the dildo on me for further testing. She tried it on me with the curve and swell facing my belly button as well as facing my back, and both ways of using it on me were explosive. I preferred the swell facing my belly button while she was going down on me as well. I didn’t have a strong preference when she used the dildo in her strap-on harness.

Speaking of strap-on play! Cassie’s strap-on harness is a RodeoH harness, with a built in o-ring. Getting TERLUS in and out of that style harness was pretty easy. If you are using a harness that has a detachable o-ring, the 1.75″ / 0.689cm is easier to insert without the harness fasteners already around it. If it is easier for you to already have the harness fasteners around the o-ring, I recommend sizing up the o-ring to a 2″ / 5.08cm so that it can slide around the shaft without a struggle.
At the time of writing this, neither Cassie nor I have tried TERLUS for anal penetration. The design is anal friendly, however it’s too small for Cassie’s size queen preferences, and it’s too big for my new-to-anal adventures. If/when this changes, I’ll update this review accordingly!
Pros:
- made with platinum cure silicone
- easy to clean and sanitize
- mid-shaft swell provides a nice feeling of fullness
- tapered tip is easy to insert and good for g-spot stimulation
- harness compatible
- anal friendly
- texture is not very raised, though abundant
- available in inventory drops, as a single color custom, or for advanced customs (when open)
- 3 sizes and 2 firmness options available
Cons:
- size medium TERLUS is closer to a size small from some other indies
- texture may be too much for some users
- soft silicone has a sticky/tacky finish causing dust, lint, hair, etc to stick to the surface

Final Thoughts on Magic Within TERLUS
I’m so pleased that I was able to snag a custom TERLUS from Magic Within during a holiday sale they were having on customs. The model itself is deliciously designed with plenty of curves and a filling mid-shaft swell, and I really enjoy using the dildo on myself and having it used on me. I never found the size or texture overwhelming, and it was comfortable to use on days when I’d already had penetration earlier in the day.
Because the texture isn’t very raised, and much of it is vertical texture, I think that TERLUS is a great option for people who are into mid-shaft swells but don’t want a ton of texture or are newer to using fantasy dildos. The size medium is also on the smaller size compared to other medium sized toys in my collection, so I think this could also be a good option for someone looking for small fantasy dildos.
I don’t have an affiliate link or anything for Magic Within, but please don’t let that stop you from buying a TERLUS of your own! It’s a fantastic model and one that I think many people could enjoy.

I purchased this dildo on my own. I am not affiliated with Magic Within in any way, other than reaching out for a written interview to write this piece. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
