Slow down, take a breath, and relax. The world is full of high tech distractions, app controlled sex toys, and more than enough stress factors. Pleasure as a form of self-care is an idea that I 100% subscribe to, and I’m not the only one! MYLO is a newer sex toy company that launched with intention, mindfulness, and pleasure at the forefront of their marketing. Right now, the brand makes one product: a 3-in-1 vibrating wand sex toy.

Get to know the MYLO Wand Vibrators

Headquartered in the UK, MYLO is a newcomer to the sex toy market. Their first launch consists of a 3-in-1 vibrating body wand that is available in 5 different colorations, inspired by elements. The MYLO Air is soft blue and white, Earth bright green to dark green, Fire bright red to orange, Spirit black to navy blue, and Water navy blue to light blue. I selected the Fire color. Each of the wands are the same at their core: 3 independently controlled motors, each with 3 steady speeds and 4 vibration patterns, and made with a soft, smooth silicone.

One end of the wand has a spherical head, designed to be used as a magic wand style vibrator. It’s got a few textured ridges, though there are plenty of accessible smooth spots for those who aren’t keen on that texture. On the opposite end of the wand is an insertable g-spot stimulator with a “sensory tendril” that can either hang freely or gently connects back in its groove. I’ll talk about how to use the sensory tendril later in this review, but for now, let your curiosity be piqued with the knowledge that it has its own motor.

All of the MYLO wand vibrators are rechargeable and have an IPX7 rating, meaning they’re safe to submerge underwater for up to 30 minutes. They come with a charging cord, user manual and matching storage pouch. All of the MYLO wands have the following dimensions:

  • Total length: 9″ / 23cm
  • Insertable length: 6″ / 15cm (this is measured from the tip of the device to the top power button)
  • Diameter: 1.6″ / 4cm
  • Ball head diameter: 1.77″ / 4.5cm
  • Tail / sensory tendril length: 4.4″ / 11cm
  • Weight: 9.2oz / 260g

Care Instructions for MYLO Wand Vibrator

First and foremost, it’s really important that you properly wash your sex toys before and after each use. MYLO’s instructions say to use warm water and a mild antibacterial soap to lather up the vibrator and rinse. Don’t clean the vibrator while it’s charging and don’t use any alcohol, petrol, or acetone-based cleaners or lubricants. Though it’s not included in the manual, you should also only use water-based lubes with the MYLO wand.

After washing the vibrator, either pat it dry with a lint-free towel or allow it to air dry away from direct sunlight. Once the vibrator is fully dry, store it in the included satin storage pouch.

Before you dive into using the vibrator, make sure you fully charge it first. Charging time is about 90 minutes, and the estimated runtime per charge is 40 minutes if all 3 motors are working together at maximum power. Your results may vary if you’re only use one or two of the motors at once. To charge the vibrator, plug the USB cord into a charging block or USB port, then connect the opposite, magnetic end to the charging port on the device. It’s located right above the control buttons. While charging, the lights at the buttons will blink, then stay on once fully charged. Don’t charge the vibrator overnight to maintain the battery.

How to Use the MYLO 3-in-1 Wand Vibrator

You’ve charged your wand up, it’s fresh and clean, you’ve got your water-based lube ready to go… now what? The MYLO 3-in-1 body wand can be used in a variety of ways: externally, as a wand style vibrator, internally for g-spot stimulation, tease and torment by running the tail along your body (or your partner’s). You can also aim for pinpoint stimulation with that very same tail, pressing it against a nipple or clitoris, or let it rest against your perineum while the curved end is inserted. This is pleasure we’re talking about folks, have some fun with it! Experiment, see what you like or dislike!

Ok, but how do you actually make the vibrator go bzzzzzz? To turn the vibrator on, press and hold the middle button for 2 seconds. This will enter into standby mode, from which you can then choose whichever of the stimulators you want to power on in that moment. With the round wand head facing upwards, the top button controls that head. The middle button controls the insertable shaft, and the bottom button controls the tail. A quick press of the corresponding button will turn on that motor, and you can press again to begin cycling through the 7 modes. To turn the vibrator off, press and hold the middle button again.

If you’re traveling and want to put the vibrator into travel lock, press and hold the top and bottom buttons at the same time for 2 seconds. The LED lights will flash 3 times and the device will vibrate once to confirm it’s locked. To unlock the device, simply repeat the process. While the device is locked, pressing any button will cause the lights to flash 6 times to indicate it’s locked status.

My Experiences with the MYLO Fire 3-in-1 Vibrator

I’m a bit of a skeptic when it comes to vibrators that seem to do too many things. I don’t mean rabbit vibrators that are dual or triple stimulators. I mean the 3-in-1 vibrators that are designed for multiple, separate types of stimulation. I don’t avoid them when review opportunities, like this, one come my way. However, I also don’t go searching for them either. When I first saw the MYLO vibrator, I was intrigued. The shape is different from other multi-purpose vibrators I’ve tried, and I thought it looked pretty stylish.

After reading into more about the UK sex toy brand and their unique offering, I decided to accept the collaboration. The MYLO wands met my criteria for reviews, and it looked far more promising than the last 3-in-1 disaster that I tried. Upon arrival, I opened the discreet shipping box and admired the outer shell of the packaging. The packaging is elaborate though sexy: it’s a gorgeous box that feels luxurious to open (though I’ll also say it’s a lot of packaging). Imagine a jewelry box, with a vibrator inside instead.

Oh, and each of the different elements come in a box that matches the vibrator. The storage pouch and manual also match. The bright orange of the Fire element is very vibrant.

Much like the packaging, the vibrator itself also feels luxurious. The silicone is really nice quality and there’s a nice amount of weight but not so much that I ever got tired of holding it. Since the tail is magnetically connected, it doesn’t freely hang down unless disconnected from the body of the vibrator.

MYLO’s site focuses heavily on mindful approaches to self-care, particularly ritual, pleasure and intimacy. Each of the 5 elements has a unique calling, for example, the Fire coloration is for folks “drawn to pleasure that feels bold and intentional.” For those interested in creating or following rituals, there are also unique instructions for each element located on the product page just above the customer reviews.

While MYLO’s site doesn’t scream “we sell sex toys,” I do appreciate that they’re not trying to fool anybody by referring to their product as a neck massager. Their approach is mindful and subtle, while still making it clear that they’re selling a sex toy.

The Wand

Compared to the Magic Wand Rechargeable and Le Wand Rechargeable, the MYLO wand vibrator is on the small side while still managing to maintain nice power. The vibrations to the wand head start rumbly at the lowest speed and feel slightly buzzy on the highest steady speed. It’s not the most powerful of rumbly magic wand vibrators, but I don’t think it’s trying to be. I think MYLO’s owners want us to slow down a bit, take a break from our devices, and reconnect with our pleasure.

My phone is my main source of reading material while I’m having solo time, so I’m not exactly taking a break from that, but I did take the time to slow down and enjoy the stimulation. Who am I kidding? I regularly mention that I enjoy edging myself here, and if I slowed down any more, I might not have time to make a living. The MYLO wand feels made for people like me, those who don’t want to rush and want to enjoy the gradual waves pleasure building up.

The round head of the wand was what surprised me the most about MYLO. I typically don’t enjoy broad contact points when it comes to external stimulation, so I wasn’t sure I would like using the vibrator as a wand. The vibrator’s spherical head worked better than I thought possible on my anatomy. I don’t feel like my large labia are uncomfortably spread open if I press it against my clitoris. The contact point is still larger than I love, but it still hit just the right spot. Applying lube to it and running it from my opening to my clitoris also felt really stimulating between my labia in a way that I don’t experience often (positive).

There is some texture on the head, but it doesn’t cover the entire head. The texture is also on the soft side and it feels like there’s even a little bit of squish to the head below the texture, which helps soften the stimulation. I didn’t feel irritated by the texture, though I know some folks are a bit more sensitive to texture than I.

I did experience some vibration transfer from the wand head all the way down to the opposite end. It’s not terribly powerful, but it does feel a bit more like a soft buzz than the rumbly head feels. It was less noticeable in-use than it was just holding it in my hand.

The Insertable Curve

On the opposite end of the vibrator for the round magic wand head is the insertable curved head. It’s designed for g-spot stimulation, and has a less rumbly type of vibration. Instead, it starts at a low, mild buzz that increases into a sharper buzz. Where the rumbly head feels like slowing down, the insertable curve feels like speeding up. I love rumbly g-spot stimulation, and after feeling the head’s rumbles, I wish MYLO had used a similar rumbly motor on this end too.

The tail can be connected or hang freely while using the insertable curve, though I felt that it was noticeable inserting that end with the tail hanging freely. The groove’s rim is pretty flexible, but it’s also pointy. It wasn’t uncomfortable to me, just noticeable, and I can see how some people would find the ridge uncomfortable when the tail isn’t connected. I did eventually feel like I got used to it, but it took a couple tries using it first. When the tail is connected, it has enough height that the rim isn’t very noticeable to me. I preferred having the tail connected in it’s groove, especially with its separate motor also powered on.

With both motors going, achieving orgasm was really enjoyable. I enjoyed having the ability to have two different intensities going at once and it was fun to try different combinations of intensity and vibration patterns. I typically don’t love patterns, but with only 4 of them, I gave them a shot. None of the patterns stood out to me as a “wow, I love this,” though.

I think the thing I loved most about using the insertable curved end was that I was able to use it hands-free. My thighs are big and soft enough that I was able to comfortably hold the vibrator with them, keeping it positioned at just the right spot. With or without external stimulation, I was still able to achieve orgasm with this end too.

The Sensory Tendril (or Tail)

I find the tail of the MYLO vibrator the least intuitive part of the sex toy. It dangles or it connects, but what does it actually do? MYLO markets it as “for teasing sensations during play or pinpointed pleasure all over the body.” In practice that meant sliding the tail over my body, directing vibrations around my most sensitive parts, before letting it come to rest against my clitoris. The best part about this was that the body of the vibrator was able to just sit hands-free, resting against my thighs and belly.

The tendril is a unique offering on a vibrator, and one I haven’t seen anything quite like before. The motor is located at the very end of the tendril, furthest from the body of the vibrator when it’s freely hanging. The length of the tail is very flexible, getting less flexible the closer you get to the motor’s location at the tip.

Of the three motors, the tail has the most buzzy sensation. It’s higher frequency buzzy than the insertable curve, and it’s not my favorite on its own. It was positively stimulating on my nipples, a little ticklish towards the sides of my hips and waist, and sent goosebumps up my body when delicately teased on my inner thighs. I used the tail like this the least, as a majority of my testing of the wand was solo and that’s not really my style of self-stimulation. It was more enjoyable for me when a partner used it on me, or I used it on a partner.

With the insertable curve inside me and the tail hanging free, I tried to insert the tail anally. It’s not very thick, about the same thickness as my pointer finger, which is well within my limits for anal penetration. To get the tail to reach properly, I had to have the vibrator inserted pretty deep, which barely gave me access to the bottom two buttons. I was able to get a tiny bit of the tail inserted into my anus, with the tip of the tendril where the motor is located vibrating against my sphincter. This was pretty enjoyable for me, though perhaps more importantly, it relaxed my hole so much that I was able to jump straight into using a realistic dildo instead of building up to it with a tapered dildo for anal stimulation.

My Final Thoughts on MYLO Fire 3-in-1 Vibrator

Though it’s not the first multi-purpose vibrator I’ve tried, I will say that I am overall impressed with the MYLO 3-in-1 Wand Vibrator. As someone who isn’t the biggest fans of wands, I ended up enjoying the wand head a lot more than expected. The insertable curved g-spot vibrator was enjoyable, though I wish the vibrations were a bit more rumbly, especially when the tail was connected and powered on. That was the best use of the tail, for me. Using it to tease myself was a bit of a dud, but having someone else use it on me was far more exciting.

Pros:

  • stylish and luxurious vibrator
  • quiet
  • waterproof submersible
  • rumbly wand head vibrations
  • curved shaft for g-spot stimulation
  • 3 independently controlled motors
  • 5 color options to choose from
  • includes a reusable jewelry box style box
  • rechargeable

Cons:

  • using the insertable curved end with the tail disconnected may take some getting used to
  • I’d love a wider range of steady vibration intensities instead of just 3
  • 21 combinations of vibration patterns feels better suited for a dual or triple stimulator rather than a multi-purpose vibrator

I would recommend MYLO for those who are looking for something luxurious, who prefer a more subtle approach to sex toy shopping, and who want one tool to conquer a couple things well. If you’re living with roommates or family, MYLO’s quiet motors are discreet enough that they likely won’t be heard outside of a closed door. If you’re looking for something high intensity that will get the job done quickly, I’d skip this vibrator. It’s designed and marketed as a means of slowing down and disconnecting from technology, so don’t expect a high intensity vibrations from this vibrator.

Good news for my American readers! MYLO just opened up shipping to the US, though I’m not sure if tariffs are covered or included in shipping.
