Solina Toys Fore Sliding Skin Dildo Review   New!

After over two years of reviewing Solina Toys dildos, I’m really excited to share a new variation on the hyper realistic dildos from the brand: Fore. I’m not talking “new variation” as in a new shape. No, I’m talking “new variation” as in sliding skin dildo. Fore is the first sliding skin dildo from Solina Toys, and I am thrilled to see some innovation from the brand’s line of realistic dildos.

To be clear, Fore is not an uncut or uncircumcised dildo with moving foreskin. Yes, the skin does move and can temporarily cover the head of the penis like an uncut penis, but the sliding skin does not stay put. I’ll talk more about this later, when I share my experiences with the dildo.

Get to Know Solina Fore Sliding Skin Realistic Dildo

Like the Solina Toys predecessors before it, Fore is made with body safe silicone and has hyper realistic details and a sturdy suction cup base. Fore’s design features a slight upwards curve of the tapered head, giving it enough curve for g-spot or prostate stimulation. The moving skin gives it a similar squeeze-feel to dual density, but once you apply pressure and movement, it’s apparent that this dildo is different than the rest of Solina Toys line-up.

Fore is available in one size and one skin color only at this time. We’ve seen other Solina Toys available in different sizes and skin colors, so fingers crossed that’s a future possibility for Fore. The size is marketed as “larger than 97% of human erections,” according to Peepshow Toys, and has the following dimensions:

  • Total length (straightened): 8.3″ / 21.1cm
  • Insertable length: 6.3″ / 16cm
  • Maximum diameter: 1.75″ / 4.445cm
  • Maximum circumference: 5.5″ / 13.97cm
  • O-ring size*: 1.75-2″ / 4.445-5.08cm

*O-ring sizes vary depending on o-ring placement and harness type. For a harness with a built in o-ring, 1.75″ works well both above the balls and around the suction cup. For a harness with fasteners around the o-ring, you may wish to use a 2″ above the balls. However, when using a 2″ o-ring around the suction cup, the dildo may pop out, depending on how thick the fasteners are.

The Difference Between Sliding Skin and Dual Density Dildos

If you’ve never used or felt a sliding skin dildo or a dual density dildo, you may be wondering what makes them so different. It starts simple: a sliding skin dildo may be a dual density dildo, but not all dual density dildos are sliding skin dildos. There are some subtle differences between the two that change the experience for some folks:

  • Sliding skin dildos have a moveable exterior layer, vs dual density dildos do not have a moveable exterior layer
  • Sliding skin dildos may have a different firmness level for the moving exterior layer, vs dual density dildos have a different firmness for the inner core vs outer layer.
  • Sliding skin dildos have an extra layer between the core and the outer layer for a lubrication between layers, which is how the skin moves, vs dual density dildos do not have an extra layer of lubrication between the inner core and outer layer

Simply, dual density dildos are not designed to have a moving layer. In making a dual density dildo, makers and manufacturers have to be careful to not let the inner core fully cure before pouring the outer layer silicone around it. If the inner core is fully cured prior, it can lead to faster delamination, which is when a toy literally peels apart. It’s a whole process that requires good timing and the right working/environmental conditions.

Sliding skin dildos have a sneaky third layer where a lubrication of some sort is used to separate the layers, while still allowing the exterior layer to move. While I have some familiarity of the process for making dual density dildos, I’ll admit that I have far less knowledge about the process of making a sliding skin dildo.

How to Care for Solina Toys Fore Dildo

For your typical, day to day cleaning, you don’t need anything special for washing the Solina Toys Fore dildo. All you need is warm water and an unscented soap that does not contain silicone (check the ingredients list for anything ending in -cone). You should always wash your sex toys both before and after each use, and it’s really quite simple: rinse with warm water, lather up with soap, rinse again with warm water.

Deeper cleans do require some extra effort, which you likely won’t need to do often. You should, however, deep clean a toy if you’ve shown symptoms of an infection, your switching a toy from anal to vaginal use, you’re sharing a toy with a new partner who you aren’t fluid bound with, or if you’re buying/selling on the second hand market. To sanitize/sterilize a dildo, do one of the following:

  • soak in a 10% bleach/90% water mixture for 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly with hot water
  • boil in water for 10 minutes
  • bake in a preheated oven on a lined baking sheet for 10 minutes at 350F / 180C
  • place in the dishwasher on a sanitize cycle, without detergent and without any dirty dishes
  • soak a lint free cloth in isopropyl alcohol and gently wipe it down, then rinse thoroughly with hot water

Even though this particular Solina dildo does have moving skin, it does still have a limit! Treat it gently and with care, and avoid any scratching or biting.

My Experiences with Solina Fore Dildo

Solina Toys is already a brand that I’ve come to know and love, from Maxima’s curve to Prima’s petite anal-friendly for me size. They’ve done such a great job with the consistency of quality and features, and I wondered what would stick out to me most about Fore. Sure, the sliding skin is a nice selling point, but I haven’t always had the best experiences with sliding skin dildos. It’s got the super realistic details as the Solinas that came before it, it’s got raised vein texture and skin lines, it’s got a good suction cup, it’s got everything I expect from the brand…

It’s the delightful mix of firm and soft, the comfort of feeling a firm shaft moving within as the soft outer skin moves comfortably inside my body. It’s the comfort of size on the Mega L, Spotta or Prima, but slightly larger and softer feeling in use.

Ya’ll. I think Fore may replace my previously ranked #1 and #2 favorite Solina Toys…

When the package from Peepshow Toys arrived with the two newest Solina Toys models inside, I thought “oh hey, cool, new models,” went about my business. I wasn’t overly excited about them. They were just two new models from a company that delivers consistency, a company that I can depend on to give me the same basic features just in different pretty penis shapes, sizes and colors. Just when I thought I knew exactly what to expect from Solina, they went and changed shit up (positively).

Forgive my ignorance, Solina Toys.

I’m not exaggerating when I say that Fore is not only different, but also better. So much, unexpectedly, better.

As someone who always washes my dildos with hot water prior to using them, I’m already a fan of warming up a toy for a more realistic feeling experience. Silicone retains heat really well, and something about the sliding skin with the heat just hit a new level of realistic PIV sex sensations. I didn’t do anything particularly out of the ordinary to heat the dildo up before use, just my normal washing routine, followed by a bit of water-based lube on the tip of the dildo, then slid it in.

The texture of Fore is softened by the sliding skin layer, so much so that the realistic veins and skin lines were unnoticeable during use. The sliding skin layer doesn’t feel any thicker than other Solina dildos, in fact it feels like a thinner exterior layer after squeeze testing the others. The amount of texture is about on par with other models, even though it feels like less when inserted. After my first test of the dildo, I hoped the texture of trying to push the skin towards the head of the dildo would add extra horizontal texture as the skin folded and bunched together.

Which is my queue to bring up the whole idea of Solina Fore being a sliding skin uncut/uncircumcised dildo. I spend enough time on the sex toy corners of Reddit to know that there is disappointment in Fore not working as an uncut dildo, but ya’ll! Fore is not designed to be an uncut dildo! I couldn’t push the skin towards the head of the dildo and insert it into myself at the same time. I asked my wife to do it for me, and she couldn’t do it either. It’s not supposed to be that. It may not have circumcision scar level realism, but Solina Toys only has one obviously uncut model (Aura).

The sliding skin on the realistic dildo is great for giving handjobs, but when in use inside of a body, the skin isn’t moving the same way. I can feel some movement of the outer layer, but it’s not a dramatic movement and if I wasn’t specifically paying attention, hoping to feel it, I don’t know that I’d be any the wiser whether it was moving skin or not. I’ve got a pretty tight pussy, and even while purposefully flexing my kegals, I still couldn’t move the skin the same way I can when I hold the dildo in my hands.

Once I let the idea of trying to force the toy into being an uncut sliding skin dildo go, I could appreciate it for what it is: a really comfortable, soft realistic dildo. Which is how I ended up falling for Fore so hard and how it ended up knocking Mega XL and Maxima down a notch each on my rankings list.

Using the realistic dildo with moving skin was pleasurable for me in each way I tested it out. Cockwarming is usually my preferred method of solo pleasure, however I found myself wanting to feel Fore moving inside me because of how comfortable I found it and how much I enjoyed the slight curve to the tip. Sure, inserting the dildo partially so the head hit my g-spot while I used a bullet vibrator on my anatomy externally was a pleasurable and dependable way to achieve orgasm, but I wanted more.

Much like my poor attempts at cockwarming a partner’s penis, leaving Fore inserted and not moving it was a tease! I was able to comfortably thrust the dildo into myself by gripping onto the suction cup base while on my back. Standing and reaching behind my back to press the base at a slower thrusting speed was also really nice, and it worked well when I was DP’ing myself in the shower since I could press at two dildo bases at the same time.

Suctioning the dildo to the wall and riding it in the shower, though? That wasn’t as easy as I’d hoped. I had to be at just the right angle and spread my cheeks, which meant I couldn’t use my hands to brace against the opposite wall of my shower stall the way I like. If there was just a bit more length, I think I’d be able to get away with stand up riding in the shower.

Thankfully, stand up riding like that was the only time I ran into any issues riding. The suction cup base fit securely onto the dildo mount on my riding chair, allowing me to bounce up and down on it with ease. I’ve found that the riding chair puts dildos at a good height and angle for helping me achieve orgasm, and Fore was no exception to that.

The suction cup base also worked well for using the dildo with an ergonomic handle for easier thrusting and fit onto my Hismith suction cup adapter plate well, both giving me further options for thrusting during solo play.

This has nothing to do with the actual use of the toy, and is for those who like their skin tones to match their dildo skin tones. Fore has a warmer undertone than the other caucasian skin tone colors from Solina Toys. The white skin tone of other Solina Toys has more of an olive or cool undertone, but Fore is very warm toned compared to the others.

Anal use was the only way I didn’t try the Solina Fore dildo. I did consider it, but after comparing it to my boyfriend’s penis, I decided that Fore is still a bit too big for me to take currently. If/when I eventually try Fore anally, I’ll update this review the way I updated my review of Prima!

My Final Thoughts on Solina Toys Fore Dildo

When the owner of Peepshow Toys told me he was sending me two new Solina Toys dildos to review, I was expecting both models to just be new shapes of the same product. I was wrong. Sure, the other model, Smootha, is that, but Fore? Fore is not the same product, and that’s a good thing IMO! Fore feels softer in use, while still having a nice hard core that gives it a deliciously realistic feeling when lubed up and in-use. I’m going so far as hoping that Solina Toys deviates a bit more in the future to give us more shapes and sizes of sliding skin dildos, because Fore dethroned my previous 2 faves and now I want more.

If you’re looking for a realistic uncircumcised dildo with moving foreskin, this is not the dildo for you. If you are looking for a realistic dildo with moving skin or a dual density dildo or a dildo that comes close to having a “real-feel” to it, Fore is a worthwhile option to consider. It’s decently priced at $64.99, especially for a body-safe silicone hyper realistic dildo.
