When I first saw Xenocat Artifacts marketing Paradise Pleasure Products Illumination line of toys, I got excited. RGB LED sex toys? Hell yes. But then, I saw that they were making bullet vibrator sleeves specifically to fit on one of the vibrators from the Illumination collection, and my excitement and curiosity piqued even further. The marriage between indie fantasy dildos and mainstream sex toys is one that excites me every time I see something new pop-up, and I love the innovation that Xenocat Artifacts has put into this.
I’m focusing primarily on the Illumination Bullet today, but for those curious about Xenocat Artifacts’ vibe sleeves, don’t fret! Not only does this review include some information about them, but I’ve also got a more in-depth look at the 4 sleeves going live here in just a couple days.
Set the Mood Lighting with the Illumination Bullet
Paradise Pleasure Products is a mainstream sex toy company that launched their Illumination Collection in 2025, featuring RGB vibrators. The four vibrators include a bullet, a butt plug, a wand and a rabbit vibrator, all of which are available for purchase from Xenocat Artifacts (XCA). The four vibrators are all app-controlled (optional) and have customizable lighting, and all come with storage pouches. The bullet, rabbit and wand vibrators all come with a stand, though the butt plug does not have one. All of the vibrators are made with body safe silicone and ABS plastic.
The Illumination Bullet Vibrator is not your average bullet vibe. The vibe has 9 pre-programmed vibration patterns, each with 5 intensity levels. It’s white, quiet, rechargeable, and boasts a travel lock and an IPX7 rating, meaning it’s been tested as safe to use submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes. It includes a stand, making it easy to charge and allowing it to double as ambient mood lighting. The Illumination Bullet is also the largest bullet vibrator in my collection, measuring in with the following specifications:
- Total length: 4.75” / 12.065cm
- Insertable length: 3.5” / 8.89cm
- Circumference: 3.25” / 8.255cm
- Diameter: 1” / 2.54cm
On the vibrator itself, there are 4 control buttons, which allow users to press and play without needing to use the app. The app unlocks a world full of additional controls and features unavailable by simply using the buttons on the device itself, but I’ll talk a bit more in-depth about the app later in this review.
Care Instructions for Paradise Pleasure Products Illumination Bullet Vibrator
When the Illumination Bullet first arrives, it will likely have a partial charge. I know it’s tempting to test it out right away, but you’re supposed to let the vibrator fully charge before the first use. It’s safe to turn on and cycle through the colors and vibrations, but the charge is unlikely to last very long, so trust me: charge it up before you’re ready to have fun! Charging usually takes less than an hour, though the first charge may take up to 90 minutes. The power button on the vibrator itself will slowly flash blue until the device is fully charged. Once charging is complete, the blue light will stay on. Each charge lasts up to 2 hours, depending on vibration and light intensities.
You can charge the vibrator with or without the stand. Personally, I like the stand since it holds the magnetic charge cord in the right spot, so there is no chance of the bullet rolling off a table and disconnecting from the magnetic connection. You should not charge the vibrator near water and you should not get the charging cord wet.
Since the vibrator has an IPX7 rating, the Illumination Bullet is also really easy to clean. Grab an unscented, antibacterial soap, lather up the device with a little warm water, then thoroughly rinse and allow to fully dry before storing. If you need to do a deeper clean, you can soak the vibrator in a 10% bleach/90% water mixture for up to 10 minutes. You should not boil, bake, or clean in a dishwasher since the sex toy is motorized!
I recommend using lubricant with the Illumination Bullet, whether you’re using it on its own or with the Xenocat Artifacts vibe sleeves. Water-based lube is the best option, and you should avoid silicone and hybrid lubes.
How to Use the RGB Illumination Bullet Vibrator
Once you’ve fully charged your Illumination Bullet Vibrator, the fun can begin! There are a few ways to use this vibrator, and I’m going to walk you through all of them.
Without app control: Press and hold the power button until the vibrator lights up and the power button is blinking. The button directly below the power button controls the vibration modes, and a quick press will take you from mode to mode. Once you’ve cycled through all of the modes, the vibrations will stop though the device is still on. After you find a mode that works for you, you can adjust intensities via the bottom button on the opposite side of the vibrator handle. To turn on the RGB lights, press the button opposite of the power button (a little sunshine icon). Press the same button to cycle through the light modes, or press the button below to change the light intensity. To turn the device off, press and hold the power button again.
Pro tip: find your light mode and intensity before you turn on the vibrations, as the same button controls both the light and vibration intensities.
With app control: After downloading the app and turning on the bullet (press and hold power button until lights come on and power button flashes), you’ll be prompted for a product code (included in the manual) before you’re taken to the menu. From the menu, you’ll be able to start customization or hop into one of the available modes: Music, Sound, Immersion, Shake or Remote mode. If you enter into the Customize mode, you’ll then go to a screen where you can customize the vibration mode and lighting effect mode, and access the memory mode. For vibrations you can pick from the 9 vibration patterns and increase or decrease the vibration strength. For the lighting effect mode, you can turn the LED lights on or off, adjust brightness and choose the mode you like. Once you’ve customized your settings, you can then swipe over to Memory Mode and save your settings. To turn off the vibrator, press and hold the power button again.
Pro tip: there are 3 memory slots, which can be later accessed without using the app, so personalize your pleasure and save it for when you don’t want to use the app. To access a memory slot without using the app, power the vibrator on, then press and release the power button to cycle through the 3 saved profiles.
With a Xenocat Artifacts vibe sleeve: Before you try to insert the bullet vibrator into a vibe sleeve, add a small amount of water based lube to the tip of the vibrator, then use the vibrator to lubricate the slot on the base of the vibe sleeve before slowly pressing the vibrator in. The vibrator should have a tight fit in the sleeve and won’t rotate, even with the vibe completely lubricated. Apply more water based lube to the external part of the vibe sleeve that you wish to stimulate yourself with, and enjoy! To remove the bullet vibe from the sleeve, using the side of your finger or a finger nail, gently pull the vibe sleeve away from the bullet at the opening, wiggling the vibrator around to help break the seal. Slowly and gently rotate the bullet vibe around as you pull it out.
Be careful removing the vibrator from the vibe sleeve. Don’t just try to yank it out, as you may end up tearing the silicone. Water is helpful here, as you can let some water into the vibe port which also reactivates the lube and makes it easier to remove the vibe from the sleeve. I do not recommend letting the vibe stay inserted into a sleeve overnight!
My Experiences with the Illumination Bullet Vibrator
When Xenocat Artifacts reached out to me to review the Illumination Bullet Vibrator by Paradise Pleasure Products, I was already sold on the Illumination Collection. It just looks exciting and I love nice mood lighting during playtime. I’ve used a clit sucker that has a star projector built into the charging base, but a vibrator that lights up? Well, Paradise is the proud owner of the world’s first LED toy collection.
The RGB LED lights were what really caught my eye when it comes to the Illumination Bullet Vibrator. The shape of the tip wasn’t one that I was as excited about, though. I typically prefer bullet vibrators that have a slanted tip, like the Limited Addiction vibes, rather than a round tip. For my anatomy, slanted tips allow for better placement and precision in delivering stimulation to my clitoris. Rounded tips are a bit more challenging to find and hold The Right Placement against my clitoris.
However, even with that in mind, I don’t want to be the type of toy reviewer who only focuses on toys that I feel confident will work for me.
So, I was a little worried that the rounded tip of the Illumination Bullet wouldn’t work for me. Upon arrival, I almost immediately took the device out of the box and plugged it in because I knew I was going to have a long road of testing ahead of me. I wasn’t just testing the bullet vibrator with the vibe sleeves from Xenocat Artifacts. I was also testing the bullet on its own.
My findings?
After hours and hours of scientific research (aka, testing the vibrator in a variety of ways), I’ve got to admit that I do still prefer bullet vibrators with slanted tips. That’s not to say the vibrator is bad, because it is not. Personal preference is only part of the equation, because what works for me, may not work for you. What doesn’t work for me, may work for you.
The rounded tip was a challenge for me to keep properly placed against my clitoris, especially when my anatomy was lubed up. Because of this, I actually liked using the vibrator externally on my anatomy without any lube. Lube made the vibrator more likely to shift during use, whereas there was less accidental movement without lube.
Even with movement, accidental or otherwise, the Illumination Bullet still did its job. I was able to achieve orgasm while using the vibrator, both with and without internal stimulation of some sort. It did take a little longer to get there without internal stimulation since I needed to reposition the vibe from time to time. With simultaneous internal stimulation, I was able to achieve orgasm much faster, even if I was only using a dildo to cockwarm while using the vibe externally.
Using the Illumination Bullet during penetrative vaginal sex, whether with a dildo or a partner’s penis, was also a great way for me to quickly achieve orgasm. Sometimes, slanted tip bullet vibrators can slip and poke a partner’s penis in such a way that isn’t comfortable for them, however this rounded bullet vibrator never received any sort of surprise reaction when it slipped and poked at a partner. Learning this has helped me feel more confident and comfortable about using a bullet vibe with a partner, since now I know to grab this bullet instead of a slanted tip bullet.
As far as holding the vibrator, the 1” / 2.54cm diameter isn’t much to grab onto. I primarily held it between my thumb and pointer finger, which was comfortable even with my grip issues. The part that was the most challenging for me was pressing the buttons without looking at the device. With four buttons, my normal “feel around to find the right one” just didn’t quite work. All four buttons feel the same and there’s not really a great indicator of which button is which unless I was looking directly at the device.
I did not try the bullet vibrator on Cassie except with the vibrator sleeves from Xenocat Artifacts. Cassie, my wife, doesn’t masturbate often, and when she does, she’s reaching for her Magic Wand rechargeable. She prefers high intensity, powerful vibrations compared to the lower intensity vibrations that bullet vibrators provide.
Pros:

- I couldn’t feel a difference between buttons for easy intensity adjustments while in use
- Buzzy vibrations aren’t for everyone
- Large size may not fit vibe sleeves designed for smaller vibes
Where Fantasy Meets Mainstream: Xenocat Artifacts Vibe Sleeves with the Illumination Bullet
One of the other reasons that I was so excited to try the Illumination Bullet was because of the vibe sleeves that Xenocat Artifacts makes. They recently sized up their Dynastes Insect and Zahne Vibe Sleeves, adding a larger size to both specifically to accommodate the Illumination Bullet. While doing so, they also added a large vibe sleeve version of one of their dildos, Dagmar, and released a whole new sleeve, Nepenthes Alien Plant Vibe Sleeve.
Because the Illumination Bullet Vibrator is such a unique offering on the market, Xenocat Artifacts wanted to find a way to highlight their sci-fi vibrator sleeves. This led to them creating a special pour for the large vibe sleeves, Starlight Supernova. The coloration is semi-translucent milky white with a shimmer that is best seen in sunlight. Unlike other pours from the indie fantasy toy company, the vibe sleeves in Starlight Supernova are available to purchase anytime as a premade product in 00-50 firmness.
Dagmar’s Egg Vibe: a vibe sleeve based on XA’s popular faux-vipositor design, and also the only insertable vibe sleeve from XA. The three round bumps, or eggs, have a skin-like texture that gives the top egg a similar appearance to an uncut dildo. I liked that I could insert this one vaginally, and I really enjoyed cockwarming with the design while I had a bullet vibe going externally on my clitoris. As far as clitoral/external stimulation, Dagmar’s was just kind of OK for me. The “eggs” felt nice to grind against, but didn’t bring me close enough to achieve orgasm.
Dynastes Insect Vibe: this sleeve looks like a beetle and I was going to skip on it, until my wife shared her excitement for the design. I’m glad I didn’t skip on it, because the mandibles created a very similar sensation to “rabbit ears” on a rabbit style vibrator, with a little bit of added texture that really did the trick for me. On the belly of the bug is a highly textured, grindable surface that I enjoyed using to stimulate my labia and clitoris too. This vibe sleeve was the one that helped me achieve orgasm the fastest of the four, specifically with the mandibles around my clitoris.
Nepenthes Alien Plant Vibe: this is the newest vibe sleeve design from XA and the one that gave me the most surprising results. The shaft has grindable textures and the leaves of the plant gave me a less intense version of “rabbit ears” compared to Dynastes. However, it was the deep cavity at the top with some ribbed texture around and inside, that gave me the biggest surprise. With some patience and some water based lube, I was able to achieve a bit of suction from that cavity around my clitoris. I have large labia that bury my clitoris, so I did not expect to get my anatomy “inserted” into the cavity, much less achieve a level of suction that would lead me towards orgasm.
Zahne Vibe: one of the two original vibe sleeves offered by XA, and I thought it was a paw but it’s actually an alien mouth. With a deep cavity of its own, Zahne has a little “tongue” and tiny bumps inside the cavity. The backside of the design has lots of low ridges that feel good to grind against. Having tried Zahne after Nepenthes, I was hoping to achieve a similar suction around my clitoris, but the head is a bit too wide and the cavity a bit too deep for me to quite get there. I was able to appreciate the little tongue, but not as much as I’d like.
Ok, ok, ok, I know that’s not a ton of information, but I promise that my next review is going to go much more in-depth on each of these designs! These vibe sleeves deserve more! Plus, I also want to give you my wife’s opinions on them too 😉
My Final Thoughts on the Illumination Bullet Vibrator
Even though I prefer slanted tip over rounded tip bullet vibes, Paradise Pleasure Products Illumination Bullet Vibrator is a fun, pleasurable vibrator. I love that I can use a vibrator as part of my mood lighting and I really love pairing the vibe sleeves from Xenocat Artifacts with it. The fact that the app has a memory feature that saves pleasure preferences to the device directly without needing to open the app is a really big plus (especially as someone who doesn’t typically use app features).
I’d recommend the Illumination Bullet to anyone who likes vibrations, who has the large size vibe sleeves from Xenocat Artifacts, who likes a rounded bullet vibe tip, or just wants a fun way to light up play time.
