As an adult performer, I’m always on the look out for good, realistic dual density dildos. For me, dual density dildos are a bit more comfortable to use for long periods of time both on camera and off camera. So obviously, I needed to try one of the dual density offerings from Tantus!! I bought myself Gary 02 Dual Density Dildo, a realistic design with a good amount of texture.
Because, of course, Tantus is an amazing company. They make body-safe silicone toys in a variety of shapes, sizes, and functionalities. I’ve purchased several of their dildos because they’re just such a great manufacturer!
Gary 02 Dual Density Dildo Details
Part of the 02 Dual Density line by Tantus, Gary is about 9″ long with 8″ of insertable length. The diameter is 1.5″, and the dildo has a lot of texture. It has realistic veins and skin folds under the head. He is strap-on compatible, but not suction cup compatible.
This dildo is available in 3 different colors: Cream, Honey, and Espresso. I got mine in Honey.
The dual density on this particular toy is different from some of my other dual density dildos. Sure, it’s got the soft exterior and a firm core, but the firm core doesn’t go all the way up the shaft. The firm core goes up about 5.5″ from the base of the toy, giving it 2.5″ of just plain squishy silicone. Most dual density dildos I’ve squeezed and played with have the firm core up the entire length of the toy.

Made with body-safe silicone, Gary 02 Dual Density Dildo does have a lot of drag. You’ll likely want to use lube with this since there is that much drag. Since the outside layer is such a soft silicone, I recommend using a water-based lube to avoid damaging the toy with a silicone lube.
Cleaning Gary 02 Dual Density Dildo is really easy since it’s made with silicone! Wash it with soap & water, a toy cleaner, pop it into a pot of boiling water for 8-10 minutes or on the top level of your dishwasher.
I Love Tantus, but…
I didn’t love this dildo. Given the reviews on the site, I’m likely an outlier. Don’t get me wrong, the squishy silicone does feel nice, but I really don’t like that the core stops so far away from the tip. It made it harder to use for pegging, something that I do a lot of. Using it in a strap-on for vaginal sex is fine, but the squish made it more difficult to get into my wife’s ass.
I know that’s personal preference over anything and there are people who don’t mind that there’s 2.5″ of squish without core. It’s likely very comfortable for people who are less experienced with dildos, or people who have pain with sex & masturbation, people who are looking for some softer squish before getting something more firm inside of them.
But it just wasn’t the dildo for me. It did get used in one of my wife’s very first porn scenes, Sydney Screams Works Trans Student Out.
Personal Feelings on Squish Aside
Tantus does make incredible designs. The overall design of this toy is really nice. I love the texture on this design. Gary 02 Dual Density Dildo is a larger dildo than the average American penis (5.1″ according to Healthline), so he is a big boy.
Of all the dildos I own by Tantus, this is the softest of them. The other toys I own from them are all “firm” toys, though Tantus also has a lot of super soft dildos that I’ve squeezed at toy shows. I imagine that Gary 02 Dual Density Dildo is likely the marriage of their firm toys with their soft toys.
I do really like the overall design of Gary 02 Dual Density Dildo by Tantus. Realistic dildos always hold a special place in my heart. Both the realistic color and shape are really nice.
There really isn’t any g-spot stimulation with the design, as there isn’t a coronal ridge, but it makes up for that with the texture. It looks and feels like skin that has sort of bunched up in one spot. The softness does make the texture feel less intense.
When I Used Gary 02 Dual Density Dildo On Myself…
I found myself needing a vibe to go with this. I’m not someone who always needs clitoral stimulation to orgasm, sometimes I can orgasm from penetration alone. But the softness and lack of coronal ridge of Gary 02 Dual Density Dildo wasn’t quite enough for me. I needed more. I paired it with a bullet vibe and that was what eventually pushed me over the edge and into an orgasm.
A weird trait that my Gary 02 Dual Density Dildo has is the base. It has a flat-ish base, but at least on the one I received, the base isn’t flat enough for this dildo to stand up on its own. A mild annoyance, but it did mean that I couldn’t stand it up with some of my other dildos.
Overall
Gary 02 Dual Density Dildo just wasn’t for me. But that doesn’t mean it’s not for everyone. Pleasure is very personal and just because I like or dislike something doesn’t mean that you will agree!
I still love Tantus. I still love the design of Gary, I just wish he were firmer or that the firm core went further up the shaft.
