Screaming O was one of the very first sex toy companies I was aware of, simply because their vibrating cock rings were everywhere when I first turned old enough to buy sex toys. I received several as gifts with purchase, but I can’t recall ever actually using one. But then Screaming O launched a line of body-safe vibrators, and I just had to get the PrimO Wand to try it out!

PrimO Wand is a midsize, travel size wand vibrator, coming in at 7.5″ in total length. It’s made with body-safe silicone and ABS plastic on the finger loop. The vibrator boasts 5 speeds and 5 vibration patterns. The lower speeds are rumbly, as advertised, but I found them more on the buzzy side the higher up the speeds I went.
Both the head and the body of Screaming O PrimO Wand have some texture, but unlike the Fun Factory VIM wand, PrimO Wand’s texture is not as pronounced nor distracting.
The wand does come in three colors, though Betty’s Toy Box only carries it in the Lilac color. Lucky for me, it’s the perfect color to match my bedroom and my favorite water bottle! The other two colors are Blueberry and Kiwi Mint.
Equipped with a travel lock, the PrimO Wand is a rechargeable vibrator that comes with a charging cable and is waterproof. Screaming O also includes a 2 year warranty, but you must register your vibrator within 30 days of the original purchase date!
The finger loop is a nice accessibility touch, and it has ridges on the inside to help prevent slippage while users have lube on their hands. Plus, it’s a subtle nod to the Screaming O vibrating cock rings I used to see at my favorite adult store in Orlando (Hi Fairvilla Megastore! I miss you!).

Cleaning & Charging
To charge the PrimO Wand, insert the included charging cable into the DC port on the back of the wand. The light on the power button will flash as it’s charging. Once the vibrator is fully charged, the light will go steady.
Cleaning the PrimO Wand is easy: grab a mild soap or your preferred toy cleaner, and wash under warm water. You can also use a toy cleaning wipe, if that’s preferred. Screaming O recommends water based lube for the PrimO Wand.
How to Use the Screaming O PrimO Wand
I reached out to Screaming O about the travel lock feature, and the representative I spoke with let me know that “Off” is their travel lock.
To use the PrimO Wand:
- Once charged, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds
- This will put the vibrator in “standby” mode – the light will be on, but no vibrations
- Press the power button to start vibrations
- Press the power button to cycle through the speeds and patterns
- Press and hold the power button to turn off
My Experiences with Screaming O PrimO Wand
The size of PrimO Wand is really great for traveling, and the fact that it’s lightweight means it’s not going to weigh down your luggage if you’re flying. It nicely fit in my bag without taking up much space. The travel lock is the part that makes me pause before recommending that others travel with this. Most of the toys I review with travel locks have a super extra off travel lock, and this just feels like I turned it “off”. The standby mode is nice in case something bumps against it during travel and turns it on, but I think I’d prefer a stronger travel lock.
I found the flexible neck really nice and the finger loop helped me keep it in place where I wanted it. With my grip issues in my hand, I wasn’t sure if the loop would help or hurt, but I did find it quite helpful. I will say that if someone has a larger belly than I do, the finger loop may not be quite enough to help reach. The fact that this is a wand rather than an internal vibe made this somewhat accessible, as a plus size person.
The noise level on the lower settings isn’t too bad, but the more powerful settings give off quite a bit of noise. I preferred the lower settings, since they were a bit more rumbly than buzzy. Though Screaming O markets this as a rumbly wand, I felt that speed levels 3-5 became increasingly buzzy instead of rumbly. Even with the buzzy vibes, I was able to achieve orgasm quite quickly with the PrimO Wand.
I don’t really care for patterns with my vibrators, so I didn’t really utilize them, but Screaming O’s claims that they’re pulsating is very accurate as they’re rapid paced pops of power, in 5 different patterns. Vibration patterns are never a selling point for me, but I’ve heard that some people enjoy patterns (I just haven’t met these folks).
The size of the head is smaller than a full size wand, which for me, I preferred. It was a more comfortable fit between my lips than a larger head.
Thankfully, the silicone on this has minimal drag, though there is still some. It just wasn’t enough that I had any issues with it. Lube definitely helped minimize the drag.
Final Thoughts
It’s great to see Screaming O making body safe vibrators, and I’m glad I got to try out the PrimO Wand. It’s a good midsize wand. It’s reasonably priced, doesn’t have any bells & whistles, and is available in cute colors.
I’d say that PrimO Wand is a great entry level wand, and good for traveling. I don’t think it’s ideal for a dorm living situation, but it would work for apartment living even with roommates. I’ve definitely used and heard louder vibrators.
It’s hard for me to find anything truly wrong with the PrimO Wand, just like it’s hard for me to find anything that makes me fall in love with this wand. It just is a good, small wand. It doesn’t stand out, but it definitely doesn’t blend in either. It’s a solid choice for those on a budget, looking for a travel vibe, or looking to give a gift.
