Good big or go home, right? That’s what I tell myself every single time I choose a toy from Mr Hankey’s Toys. I think to myself “7.5in insertable length? I can take that! 6.5in circumference at the head? Sure, no problem!” but then, Kthulu shows up. “My eyes were bigger than my pussy” is a phrase that I end up saying a LOT.
Meet Kthulu by Mr Hankey’s Toys
A Lovecraftian-inspired dildo, Kthulu is a bulbous dildo with multiple bulbs on the top 1/3rd of the shaft, with some horizontal lines dividing it from the tendrils that run vertically over the shaft. This isn’t a symmetrical dildo, which will provide some unique sensations. There are a lot of different textures going on with this dildo and it may be overstimulating for some users.
Mr Hankey’s Toys offers the fantasy dildo in 5 sizes: XS, small, medium, large and XXL. I opted for the size small, somehow forgetting that Mr Hankey’s Toys idea of “small” is my idea of an “XXL”. Oops! The XS size is available in the XS Series II, whereas the other 4 sizes have their own product page. All 5 sizes are available in 4 firmness levels and 25 colors, with or without metallic effect. You can also add a Vac-u-lock attachment hole to the main 4 sizes.
I opted for a size small of Kthulu in 75% softness, which is 9.5″ in total length and 7.50″ insertable length. The minimum circumference, 6.38″, is at the bottom of the shaft while the thickest circumference is near the middle, 7.75″. The circumference at the head is 6.5″. If you’re pairing this with a strap-on o-ring, you’ll need a 2.5″ o-ring. Make sure you’re paying attention to sizing whenever you order from Mr Hankey’s Toys!
Because Mr Hankey’s Toys makes all of their toys with soft body-safe silicone, it is normal for lint and hairs to stick to the surface of the toy. Make sure you properly wash your toy before using to get rid all of all the lint!
Caring for Kthulu
Since Kthulu is made with silicone and doesn’t have a motor, it’s really easy to take care of! According to Mr Hankey’s Toys’ site, their silicone is compatible with all lubricant types. When it comes time to clean Kthulu, you have options:
- Wash with warm water & unscented soap or toy cleaner
- Boil in water for 5-10 minutes
- Run through the dishwasher without detergent
- Soak in a 10% bleach/water mixture (do not boil bleach!)
Easy, right?
When you are washing, make sure to use a small, soft brush or gently use a fingernail to properly clean in all the nooks & crannies. There is a lot of texture, so make sure you’re cleaning as thoroughly as possible.
My Experiences with Kthulu
It took me a while to be able to take Kthulu by Mr Hankey’s Toys. It’s a really large toy for me, even the size small. And even as I tried my best, Kthulu was too much for me. I was excited to try this dildo because the bulbs and the vertical texture really spoke to me, but trying as hard as I could, it was just too thick for me and had too much texture. The best I could do was getting the bulbs inserted & leave it there, but any in & out penetration was just far too intense for me to handle. This is my preferred way of masturbating, rather than pumping in & out, but still the texture is a lot to handle.
Lucky for you, I’m not the only one in my house who tried Kthulu! My wife was equally intrigued by the design of Kthulu and was eager to let me use it on her instead. As you may or may not know, my wife, Cassie, is a size queen who loves texture. I’ve had the pleasure of using Kthulu on my wife a few times.

One of the things that I like about using Kthulu on my wife is that we opted to get an attachment hole. Even without the hole, I find these smaller, thicker bases from Mr Hankey’s Toys to be easy to hold in my palm & wrap my fingers around the edges.

Final Thoughts on Mr Hankey’s Toys Kthulu
I think it’s safe to say that Kthulu‘s texture is really intense and is absolutely not for every one. This is not a beginner friendly toy at all, but it is a very well made one. The texture combination is very unique and I really like the overall design. This dildo is one that we have on display, as it’s such a neat looking piece.
