2021: A Year in Review

1. What did you do in 2021 that you’d never done before?
I suppose I did have some firsts… I performed a wedding ceremony for the first time ever! I shot my first boy/boy/girl scene and an attempt at double vag. I also spent an entire year working on creating self produced XXX fucking scenes, which I hadn’t ever had the opportunity to do before to the same degree. I guess I’m struggling a little bit to think of other firsts I had!

2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions?
I almost never make resolutions, so I doubt I made any last year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not that I’m aware of. I think most of the folks I’m friends with are non-baby having folks like me.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not anyone really close, but some folks in my industry died, and that really sucks. They’ve left some beautiful, kind shaped holes in the world of SW.

5. What countries did you visit?
Same answer as last year: I barely even left Nevada, must less the country

6. What would you like to have in 2022 that you lacked in 2021?
Ha, well, health insurance is a big one. I’d love to travel again, but I said that last year and my hopes aren’t exactly the highest.

7. What dates from 2021 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
January 29th! The day that Cassie officially moved in. We signed the lease on our house in November 2020, but due to her work, she wasn’t able to move in right away. I was overjoyed when she came over and didn’t have to leave to go back to her apartment ever again.

8. What was your biggest achievement(s) of the year?
With the help of some very supportive friends & colleagues, I doubled my SW income year over year (I think – I haven’t run exact numbers yet, but I’m pretty sure I’m very close if not over). I also produced & starred in over 50 hardcore scenes for my own business, which… was a lot of work but it feels really good to reflect on how much my work has grown & improved over the year.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Honestly, I don’t know. I had a lot of set backs and emotional hurdles to jump, but every single one was an opportunity to grow & better myself. I suppose I did fail at figuring out how to make a couple different sites work for me, but I don’t think those sites were good fits for me & my work, in retrospect

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I managed to fall on a flat surface when hiking back in like… April? And the scar still hasn’t fully healed, so I guess there’s that! But I don’t think I even sprained an ankle this year, which is pretty impressive. I shouldn’t jinx it though, there are still a few days left in 2021.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
Oh gosh, ok, so I literally got them in the mail today, but a giant set of fake tiddies for filming with. Beyond those, a fake pregnancy belly and a whole buncha sex toys… I can’t believe I didn’t say it in last year’s Year in Review blog, because it was a 2020 purchase not a 2021 one, but fuckkkkkk. My mattress is so comfy.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Anyone who made it out alive & unscathed from another year of pandemic life.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Ya know, I don’t think I like this question very much. Nobody close to me, but there are definitely people out there who are still anti-mask, anti-vaxx, anti-everything who I wish I never had to be aware of.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Bills, bills, bills. I tried really hard to save money this year, but it was honestly a tough year financially.

15. What did you get really, really, excited about?
I was super excited about Cassie moving in!!!! Beyond that, I got pretty excited to go visit my family in NC and go to Disneyland for my birthday!

16. What song will always remind you of 2021?
Probably anything off Lil Nas’s Montero album

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? I think about the same.
b) thinner or fatter? I lost around 30lbs in 2021, but I don’t think it really shows.
c) richer or poorer? Richer, financially at least.

18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Spending time with friends, even if only digitally. I guess in some ways, 2021 was a pretty lonely year for me. I put a lot of effort into working and not as much effort into friendships. I want to work on that more in 2022.

19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Getting in my own head. Like damn, I got in my own head about everything and suddenly things I never thought about before were constantly there. Which is pretty annoying and sometimes really sad & depressing tbh.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent Christmas with a SW friend, one of Cassie’s friends, and of course, Cassie. We played Mario Party and drank delicious wine and ate homemade lemon ricotta cookies. For dinner, I made a standing rib roast, garlic butter mashed potatoes, and roasted veggies. Then we watched the new Matrix movie! It was a pretty chill day.

21. Did you fall in love in 2021?
I started to love myself more, again. Does that count?

22. How many one-night stands?
Literally zero. I did shoot a whole buncha porn though!

23. What was your favorite TV program?
I watched so many good shows in 2021! The Expanse, Arcane, and Steven Universe all come to mind.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
I don’t think so!

25. What was the best book you read?
I’d say DC’s Eat! Bang! Kill! Tour, comic wise. Novel wise, I read a kind of time travel pirate book that I really enjoyed, The Girl from Everywhere. I know I read other things, but my brain has gotten extra forgetful this year.

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I didn’t really have one? I almost never have musical discoveries. Although shout out to the lesbian sex play list that Cassie & I found one day on Spotify lmao

27. What did you want and get?
Therapy! Now I just want more of it. And some non-mental health doctor’s appointments.

28. What did you want and not get?
I can’t really think of anything aside from more traveling!

29. What was your favorite film of this year?
I really enjoyed the new Matrix movie, but I didn’t really see a whole lot of new movies this year so I suppose I may have missed some!

30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 34 this year. We didn’t do much on my birthday itself, but for my birthday month we did go to NC and Disneyland. We also had a fancy Brazilian steakhouse dinner and watched some spoopy shows/movies for Halloween since my b-day is just a few days before the holiday.

31.What was one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Feeling safer and more comfortable to do things.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2021?
Casual comfort! I tried really hard not to work in my PJs or bathrobe this year – it started making me feel really lazy and not have great self image, so I started putting effort into my appearance on work days even if I was just going to be sitting at my computer all day.

33. What kept you sane?
My cat and my girlfriend!

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Nobody, really.

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
Covid.

36. Who did you miss?
Literally all of my friends & my family. Not getting to see people in person is fucking HARD.

37. Who was the best new person you met?
I met so many new people in 2021, thanks to shooting so much porn. I guess I feel it’d be a bit rude to only point out one or two though, so I’m going to keep it at that!

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2021.
I can’t remember what all I learned, but I did relearn to be kind to myself and I’m working on being a less controlling, rigid person…. so I suppose there’s that?

39. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
As usual, I don’t really have one.
