Large insertions and Mr Hankey’s Toys are practically synonymous these days. Mr Hankey’s Toys is one of the leading silicone toy makers out there, and my wife & I have a number of their toys in our collection. Cassie is the queen of large insertions, while I’m the opposite. So when Mr Hankey’s launched their XS series and included some of their fantasy toys as options, I was so excited. So excited that I bough Beowulf for myself!
Mr Hankey’s Toys uses high quality silicone and hand pours their incredible range of toys. Whether you want realistic shapes or fantasy shapes, Mr Hankey’s has you covered. Pay close attention to sizing though, lest you end up with a small toy that doesn’t seem like it’s actually a small.
Let’s Talk Beowulf!
Beowulf is a fantasy dildo with a lot of texture including a nice knot. Available in 4 sizes on their regular listing, but also a sneaky 5th size is available in their Xtra-Small series! I got mine in the Xtra-Small size, which has 6.5″ of insertable length, and a max circumference of 6.5″. The regular sizes range from a 10″ insertable length up to 14.5″, with max circumference starting at 7″ and going up to 9.75″ on the XL size. Sadly, Mr Hankey’s xtra-small series don’t have the option to add an attachment hole.
If you’re going for one of the main 4 sizes, I definitely recommend getting the attachment hole add-on. It’s $4.95 and fits a vac-u-lock attachment or can house a bullet vibrator. It’s a really nice addition! When I am hand pumping a toy, I actually really like the attachment hole because it helps me keep it steady and helps me hold onto it even with lubed up hands.
Beyond sizing options, Mr Hankey’s Toys also allows for customization of Beowulf, including 4x firmness options, 24 color options, 2 color effects, and an optional attachment hole. I got my Beowulf in Blood Red with a 75% softness, which is similar to a “medium” firmness from Bad Dragon, or 00-50 shore.
From the tip of Beowulf down to the base, there’s a lot of texture and size changes for users to enjoy. The tip of Beowulf is narrow and widens as you move down, and midway through the shaft, there’s a knot that gives users a feeling of fullness stretching them open before becoming narrow again.
While there is a good deal of texture on Beowulf, this is one of Mr Hankey’s Toys less textured options. I personally prefer toys that aren’t overwhelmingly textured, and Beowulf was a great option for me & my preferences.

Care Instructions for Mr Hankey’s Beowulf
Cleaning Mr Hankey’s Toys is really easy. Grab your favorite toy cleaner or a mild soap, and wash thoroughly under hot water. Because this isn’t a motorized toy, you can also pop this in a dishwasher for a deeper clean/sanitation.
Make sure to wash your toy before use, as Mr Hankey’s Toys does warn that they do not wash toys after production. They use a release agent on toys to keep them from adhering to the mold, which is harmless but should be washed off prior to use.
The silicone that Mr Hankey’s Toys uses is high quality and will not melt with other silicone toys, but if you’re not sure if another toy is pure silicone, don’t store them together!
They’ve conducted their own experiments regarding silicone and oil based lubricants, however since it’s impossible to test every single brand of silicone or oil lube, Mr Hankey’s does advise customers to test non-water based lubes on the bottom to see if there’s an adverse reaction. Personally, I would recommend just reaching for the water-based lube!
My Experiences with Mr Hankey’s Toys Beowulf Dildo
As I’ve mentioned, I got the Xtra-Small sizing of Beowulf. I’m not a size queen, and while I have been working on stretching, some of their small sizes are still just too big for me. That being said, due to the proportions of Beowulf, I think I could have gotten myself a small instead of extra-small. With the extra-small size, I am able to take the full shaft of Beowulf.
Once the knot is fully inserted, I love the feeling of fullness. Sometimes, I just want to enjoy that fullness without movement, especially if my wife is going down on me or if I’m using a vibrator.
I wouldn’t say that Beowulf is o-ring harness compatible, which is a disappointment for me. With the small-extra large sizes, the attachment hole would make it vac-u-lock harness compatible, though. I’d love to have my wife strap-on fuck me with it, but rings big enough to get past the knot are big enough to slide off the base. So, I’ll have to settle for hand pumping.
I really like the texture and design of Beowulf. Too much texture is often too much for me, but the texture on Beowulf is not overwhelming for me. I felt that the tip of the toy is the most textured part of the insertable length, though the knot is the second most textured part, IMO.
Fantasy toys are sometimes controversial, but Beowulf isn’t sculpted to be a “realistic” fantasy design. I love fantasy toys, and I absolutely will not use toys that are life casted nor support companies that practice that. Beowulf is based off a character that doesn’t exist, based off the imagination of what the creature’s cock might look like. Beowulf is a fantasy toy.
Beowulf is one of my regular go to fantasy toys. Now, I’ll admit, there are a lot of fantasy toy in my collection that get regular rotation, and Beowulf is part of that rotation! It’s a good toy with a nice amount of texture and a really pleasurable shape.
Final Thoughts
Beowulf is an excellent toy for anyone who is curious about fantasy toys but doesn’t want to be overwhelmed with texture. It has some, but the bulbous feeling is unique and not like most textures I’ve experienced on fantasy toys.
It gives a great sense of fullness that I really enjoyed. I think Beowulf would be a great toy for someone new to fantasy toys or for someone with more experience with fantasy toys. It’s a good design. It’s a good toy. And Mr Hankey’s Toys is one of the biggest and best manufacturers of fantasy toys!
