The Basics
VIM Vibrating Wand by Fun Factory is a rechargeable, water resistant vibrator with 5 speeds and 3 patterns that are customizable. It’s available in Midnight Blue and Sunrise Orange. VIM has a flexible neck and a lightweight handle with weighted rumble. The weighted head makes the flexible neck seem more flexible than some of it’s competitors that claim to have flexible necks. When you hold the wand at the halfway point, you can easily feel the weight in the head.
The vibration was designed to stay in the head, so vibration transfer to the handle is minimal. And it’s quiet. Really quiet.
Coming in at about 12.3 inches in total length and 2.4 inch diameter head, VIM has a textured handle and head. The head has ridges that run in a semi-diagonal vertical direction, while the handle switches between ridges and a honeycomb pattern. The head is wide, giving simulation all over, assuming you’re into the ridges. Even with my neurospicy brain feeling slightly overstimulated by the texture, the silicone feels delightful and smooth in my hand. There’s little to no drag in the areas that are perfectly smooth, but the texture does create drag.
Users can enjoy VIM for pleasure, pain relief, or helping diminish the appearance of bruises faster. One of the features I enjoyed with VIM is the ability to use the + or – buttons to find the perfect vibration level. Simply press and hold either button to explore different intensities across all 5 speeds and 3 patterns.
To charge VIM, attach the included magnetic charging cord to the base of the wand and allow about 4 hours to charge fully. Battery life will depend on speed you’re using, but you can expect 2-3 hours worth of play time on one charge.
VIM is not waterproof, but is water-resistant, so it can be used in the shower or washed in the sink.

How to Use Fun Factory VIM Wand Vibrator
There are 3 buttons on the Fun Factory VIM. The FUN button turns the wand on and off, and activates the travel lock.
Press & hold the FUN button with the – button, which will put the wand into travel mode. To unlock from travel mode, press & hold the FUN button with the + button
Press the FUN button to turn the vibrator on and off. Use the + button to move through the 8 vibration functions. To adjust intensity, hold down either the + button for higher intensity, or the – button for lower intensity. You can adjust intensity across all 8 functions, a unique feature in a wand.
If you’re using lube with VIM, make sure you’re grabbing a water-based lube.
My Experiences
Pulling VIM out of the box was a joy. The color, the weight, even the texture. I was swooning at first touch. The texture of the handle, though overstimulating, is still one that draws me in. I want to hold it. I want to run my hands along it. Even if the texture is also a little…tickly?
I selected the blue color, and my gosh. The blue is beautiful! It’s a dark blue, but rich and vibrant.
I’ll be honest: I did zero research on VIM prior to receiving it. I had no idea about the rumbly promise, the adjustability of intensity, etc. I went into this with my eyes closed, but now that I’ve tried VIM… my eyes are open.
Wands are known for their power – it’s why wand vibrators are often top sellers for retailers. They’re good, they’re powerful, they’re intense. But wands aren’t known for their discreet noise levels, that is until VIM came along. I was shocked at how quiet this wand is, especially when comparing it to the Original Magic Wand and the Le Wand Rechargeable. I was able to use VIM discreetly even with guests staying at my house, and they had no idea!
Some wands are too intense for me. I’ve tried a lot of wands, and one of the biggest issues I have with them is that the power levels even at the lowest settings are just too much. VIM’s adjustability with the vibration functions has made it one of my preferred wands in terms of intensity and speed.
After reading Phallophile’s review of VIM, I wasn’t sure that the ridges were going to work for me. Thankfully, I found that the ridges didn’t detract from my pleasure. I’m sensitive, but not so sensitive that I found them irritating.
When trying the VIM wand with my trans wife, she enjoyed the texture on the tip of her girldick, though she wished that the power was a bit more intense.
During sex, I personally found VIM to be a bit less comfortable to hold than the Blush Wellness Eternal Wand. VIM has a bigger head, with a shorter handle, and even though the neck bends, it doesn’t make up for my short arms and big belly. I preferred to use this when masturbating rather than during sex, mainly due to the larger head size.
Final Thoughts
I really enjoyed Fun Factory VIM Wand. It does cost more than other cordless rechargeable wand vibrators, coming in at $169. The rumbly vibrations are not like any other wand I own, and I really like the customization of intensities. This is a luxury vibrator that I’d recommend to users who typically don’t reach for a wand vibrator. Heck, this is a luxury vibrator that I’d recommend to users who do typically reach for a wand!
I’m impressed by the quiet power VIM packs, and the flexible neck is the best I’ve tried so far.
Overall? Fun Factory held up their promises with VIM and I’d absolutely recommend this wand!
