Creative Conceptions Unihorn Review and Comparison 6

If you haven’t noticed it out by now, I’m a sucker for cute toys. So the first time I saw Creative Conceptions Unihorn vibrators, I swooned. Instantly, I thought of collecting them all the way some people collect Funko Pops and displaying them on a bookcase. The Unihorns are some of the cutest vibrators on the market, and it’s easy to see why! I mean…gosh, just look at them!

Currently, there are 5 Unihorn models available, each with a different color and different type of pleasure stimulator. I’ve heard that Creative Conceptions is even working on developing more!

These palm sized vibrators aren’t just cute though. They’re also fun and strong. Each of the Unihorn vibrators has 2 independently controlled motors, one for the vibrating that each of them has, and one for the unique function.

  1. Heart Throb – the peachy-pink Unihorn, has a clitoral pulse that gives a tapping sensation to users.
  2. Mount’N Peak – the light blue Unihorn, has a clit flicking tongue that is ideal for those who love a pinpointed pleasure.
  3. Bean Blossom – the yellow Unihorn, is an air-pulse suction vibe with a wide tongue which gives a wider area of stimulation than the Mount’N Peak.
  4. Karma Lilac – the lilac purple Unihorn has a rounded tip for clitoral pulsations that gives users pinpointed pulsating stimulation.
  5. Wild Spirit – the black Unihorn has a long, pointed tongue that is very flexible and twirls. This one isn’t for beginners, IMO.

As I tested out each of the Unihorns, I was surprised at the power these cuties pack. I expected them to be all looks and no strength, and I was very pleased that my exceptions were wrong. Powerful and cute?! Count me in for all their future Unihorn launches!

Each Unihorn has a total of 20 settings to mix and match to your liking. The front motor, which controls a different type of stimulator on each Unihorn, has 10 vibration functions including 3 steady speeds and 7 patterns. The body or tail motor, which is the same on each of them, also has 3 steady speeds and 7 vibration patterns. The mix and match capability of the Unihorns is really, really nice.

Before I talk about my experience with each of the Unihorn vibrators, let’s talk pros & cons!

Pros:

  • Compact & Cute
  • Ergonomically designed for comfort
  • 2 independently controlled motors
  • Affordably priced at ~$40 on Peepshow Toys at the time I’m writing this
  • Good battery life
  • Body safe silicone

Cons:

  • All of them are noisy when using both the front and back motors
  • Heart Throb is the loudest, even without the back motor going
  • Back motor is buzzy, which can overstimulate some users

Heart Throb

Heart Throb is the peachy-pink Unihorn that pulses, and has the largest contact point of the Unihorns. The pulsations are a blur to the naked eye, and delivers hundreds of pulsations per minute. The pulsating snout is soft and flexible while delivering powerful pulses. Heart Throb seemed the loudest of all the Unihorn models, but I did not actually test the noise levels so I don’t know for sure. It could be loud enough to hear through a wall, unless you have music turned up or are using it in the shower.

For me, I needed more than just Heart Throb on its own. I like pulsing toys, but I prefer them alongside internal stimulation. When I partnered Heart Throb up with a dildo, that’s when I was able to achieve the pleasure I was looking for!

Mount’N Peak

Mount’N Peak is the light blue Unihorn with a flat, pointy tongue. It looks like it might have air pulse/suction technology, but this one does not (however the Bean Blossom does!). It has a wide, flat, pointy tongue that flutters up and down when powered on. I really liked Mount’N Peak. Sometimes I just want a fluttering tongue without the air pulse/suction stimulation, and this one absolutely delivered. I found it relatively quiet with just the front motor on, but with both motors going, it does get a little more noisy.

I enjoyed Mount’N Peak both on its own and partnered with a dildo. I didn’t need the dildo to achieve orgasm with this one, like I did with Heart Throb, but it’s always nice to have options. The tongue extends enough that you don’t need to put firm pressure directly against your clit, unless of course you’re into that. The hole is wide enough and the tongue is long enough, that I think people with larger clits could use this without working about fully inserting themselves in.

Bean Blossom

Bean Blossom is the yellow Unihorn with a thick tongue and air pulse/suction. It’s a lot of stimulation and a lot of fun. The tongue sits inside of the snout, with a hole that may not be large enough for those with larger clits to enjoy. It is wider than many air pulse toys, thankfully.

I really enjoyed Bean Blossom, though I preferred to only use the front motor on this one as the back motor got over stimulating very, very quickly for me. Bean Blossom is also on the loud side, so be sure to have some music going if you live with roommates or are seeking a more discreet experience.

Karma Lilac

Karma Lilac is the, you guessed it, lilac Unihorn that pulses but has a more slightly pin-pointed round “tongue” than the Heart Throb. I wouldn’t quite call this very pin-pointed stimulation, but the rounded tip is smaller than Mount’N Peak. It has a tapping sensation that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I love how quiet Karma Lilac is, and this particular Unihorn was really fun for me. If I were trying to decide between this one and Heart Throb, I’d definitely go for Karma Lilac. It’s just so good!!

Wild Spirit

Wild Spirit is black Unihorn with a long, pointed tongue. The design also differentiates from the other Unihorns by having a more spikey man. The tongue twirls and rotates, and goes up and down. You can use it with a flat side of the tongue against your clit, or angling it so the pointed tongue makes contact.

I liked it, but I don’t love Wild Spirit. Maybe I was applying too much pressure, but I found that the front motor would slow down if I held it too closely to my body. Wild Spirit was much more fun for me when I used it on my nipples instead of on my clit.

One of the best parts about the Unihorns, in my opinion, is how easy and comfortable they are to hold. I have some nerve damage in my right hand that makes certain grips difficult for me to maintain, but I found that the body of the Unihorns are easy to grip without straining my wrist or flaring up my hand pain. I tend to hold them upside down with the feet in the palm of my hand.

To use each Unihorn, press down on either of the buttons for about 3 seconds. Tap each button to cycle through all of the 10 functions. Repeat with the second motor, if you like. The button with a lips logo on it controls the unique snout function of each Unihorn, and the wavy lines control the back vibrations.

Charging the Unihorns is easy. Each of them comes with a magnetic charging cord, hidden away under the insert in the box. I’m glad the packaging includes a tab with an arrow directing you to pull out the interior packaging, because otherwise I wouldn’t have realized these even came with a charger. Oops! Charging time is about 2 hours, giving each one approximately 1 hour of use, according to Creative Conceptions. However, I found that the charge held for much longer than that. I’d say over the 2 hour mark instead of just 1 hour.

The Unihorns are not fully waterproof or submersible, so you shouldn’t use them in underwater in a bathtub, but they are splash proof. To clean them, wash with soap and water in a sink, but do not soak or submerge. Each of the Unihorns has a rating of IPX6, meaning that they can withstand high water pressure for 3 minutes coming from all angles.

As you might be able to see from the pictures, there is a seam on each of the Unihorns. It’s very visible, and depending on which model and where you run your fingers, it is also noticeable to the touch. I didn’t find that it distracted me from my pleasure, but some folks may have more sensitivities about that than I.

Overall, I really like the Unihorns, noise and all. They’re cute as heck and have actual power that puts them a step above a lot of the cutesy vibrators on the market. They’re also really affordable. I can see these being popular gifts between friends, lovers, and bridal parties.
