CalExotics Cashmere Velvet Curve Clit Vibe Review

The first time I touched CalExotics’ Cashmere Velvet Curve clit vibrator, I was surprised. I’d never held such a plush, soft silicone vibrator. It’s squishy, it’s bendy, it’s velvety soft, and it’s absolutely beautiful.

CalExotics is one of the largest toy manufacturers out there, and they make an abundance of products. Some are generic, some are exciting, but I’d never seen anything quite like this from CalExotics before. The other two vibrators in the Cashmere line have the same rich blue, all sharing the same plushness as the Velvet Curve. I’d wager that the Cashmere line is one of the most beautiful lines that CalExotics has released.

Packaged in a beautiful sunset ombre box, the Cashmere Velvet Curve vibrator is a aesthetically luxurious offering from CalExotics, but I’m not quite sure it does it for me.

The Basics

Cashmere Velvet Curve clit vibrator is an external clitoral stimulator that fits ever so comfortably in the hand, curved to press comfortably against your vulva to hit your clit. It’s a beautiful, dark blue vibrator with some serious squish that gives it a special feel. The super soft silicone exterior is squishy all around, meaning you can hold it in your hand and give it a squeeze all around.

This is such a beautiful vibrator. Truly. The blue is dark and rich, reminding me of a crushed velvet dress I own. The ripples on the top of the vibrator give the impression of velvet as light hits it as well. I can’t stop gushing over how simplistically beautiful this vibrator is.

With 10 vibration offerings, CalExotics did away with vibration patterns in favor of 10 speed intensities, something that I am quite happy about. To cycle between the speeds, you just press the button. There are two ends, which ideally would have identical strength given the shape and size, but I did find that there was a clear side for using – the end furthest from the button. The Cashmere Velvet Curve has a memory chip, which returns users to the last function used when powering it on.

It’s comfortable to hold for rubbing against yourself, or for grinding against, though I did find it difficult to change speeds without removing it from my body, a break which I found quite frustrating when I wanted more power. That frustration aside, I cannot stress enough just how comfortable it is to hold the Cashmere Velvet Curve clit vibe. It is ergonomically designed and it is one of the most comfortable vibes I’ve found to hold. Users could wear it inside of their panties while sitting down to rub or grind against quite comfortably.

The Cashmere Velvet Curve vibrator is waterproof submersible, with an IPX7 rating, meaning it can be submerged up to 1 meter for 30 minutes without damage. This makes it wonderful for using in the bath or shower, and very easy to clean. Just grab your favorite toy cleaner or mild soap, lather it up with warm water, and rinse!

The body-safe silicone is so smooth that I didn’t experience any drag when using, and ended up skipping the lube because it made it a bit too slippery for me to comfortably hold in place.

Charging takes about 1.5 hours, which gives users 55-80 minutes of usage. The higher settings will eat up the battery a bit faster than the lower settings, which is my experience with most rechargeable vibrators. After cleaning, make sure the vibrator is fully dry before trying to charge it.

Pros:

  • Gentle vibrations are great for beginners
  • Comfortably fits in palm of hand
  • Beautiful color
  • Waterproof & rechargeable
  • Plush and squishy

Cons:

  • Gentle vibrations may not appeal to more advanced users
  • Frustrating button placement for changing speeds during use
  • Users who prefer vibration patterns would not enjoy this one
  • No remote control

How to Use the Cashmere Velvet Curve Clit Vibrator

The CalExotics Cashmere Velvet Curve has a travel lock. To lock or unlock, hold the button for 3 seconds. To power on, you’ll hold the button until the vibrations start. Click the button to cycle through the 10 speeds. To power off, hold the button until the vibrations stop. The memory chip will return users to the speed at which the vibrator was powered off.

My Experiences

Despite the fact that I love the aesthetic of the CalExotics Cashmere Velvet Curve, I found myself wanting more. The wide shape of the vibrator is lacking the pinpointed pleasure that I prefer. I imagine that people who enjoy a wider surface area would enjoy this more than I, as the lack of pinpoint stimulation is really the biggest downside for me. I also have pretty meaty labia, which means that this doesn’t quite rub against my clit.

I wish there was either more power or a smaller surface area, as everything else about this vibrator really checks my boxes. Comfortable to hold, soft & squishy, no vibration patterns… But I just couldn’t bring myself to love it for anything other than a panty vibe. Even that would be greatly improved by having a remote control to change speeds.

Final Thoughts

CalExotics created a beautiful vibrator that has so much potential for pleasure. The soft, squishyness is divine. It may be a case that this vibe just didn’t align with my personal preferences and anatomy, because I’ve seen other reviewers talking about how much they loved this one. Don’t let my preferences sway you, if you’re someone who prefers the wider surface area for stimulation.
