After my first review of a vibrator from Xara Toys, I have to admit that I was really excited and eager to review more of their body-safe silicone vibrators. Today, I’ve got Versa. Versa may not have a unique movement, like Swish, but it does have something else going for it: crazy flexibility!

When it comes to vibrators, I’ve always been a fan of dual stimulators, like rabbit vibes. Versa is kind of a rabbit vibrator, in that it can stimulate both the g-spot and clitoris simultaneously, but it’s also so much more thanks to the flexibility. I know rabbit vibrators are not for every body, and many bodies can’t use them unless there is a level of flexibility to accommodate their anatomy. I’ve tried my fair share of flexible rabbit vibrators, but none of them come even close to the flexibility of Versa. Not only is Versa flexible, but it can be used solo or as a couples toy that stimulates both partners at once.

Crazy, right? I won’t keep teasing you any longer. It’s time to get down to it!

Meet Xara Versa Vibrator

With a level of flexibility not often seen in rabbit vibrators, Xara Toys’ Versa has dual stimulators designed to reach the g-spot and clitoris of more anatomies. But the fun doesn’t have to end there, as Versa’s external stimulator can be “untied” and used as a couples vibrator for two, or for double penetration or even double vaginal penetration. When I say “flexible,” I really do mean it! Made with body-safe silicone, the lilac vibrator is versatile and packs 10 vibration functions on each of the two motors, each with 4 steady speeds and 6 patterns. Users can enjoy 10 clitoral vibration functions and 10 g-spot vibration functions, each controlled separately to personalize your preferences.

The body-safe silicone is the same quality and texture of the Xara Swish, down to the same lovely color. It comes in a heavy duty, luxe black cardboard box with an information card and charging cord. As a rechargeable vibrator, Versa uses a DC port to charge. The device is also waterproof, with an IPX7 rating, meaning it’s tested and rated to safely stay submerged in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

Versa has the following dimensions:

  • Total length: 9.25″ / 23.495cm
  • Insertable length: 6.3″ / 16.002cm
  • G-spot stimulator diameter: 1.4″ / 3.556cm
  • Clitoral stimulator diameter: 0.95″ / 2.413cm
  • Distance between clitoral and vaginal stimulators: 3.5″ / 8.89cm

Charge and Care Instructions for Xara Toys Versa

Upon arrival of Versa by Xara Toys, the first order of business is to plug the rabbit vibrator in. Charging is 120-130 minutes and each charge is estimated to last about 55 minutes with both motors running or 130 minutes with a single motor running. While charging, the lights on the buttons will flash. Once the lights turn solid, the device is fully charged.

Cleaning Versa is very easy! Grab your favorite toy cleaner or an antibacterial, unscented soap and wash with warm water. Allow the device to dry completely before storing it. If you need to do a deeper clean, the motor limits your options, however you can still soak the vibrator in a 10% bleach mixture for up to 10 minutes. According to Xara Toys, you can also use rubbing alcohol to clean the vibrator, but soap and warm water is still their primary recommendation.

They recommend only using water or natural oil-based lubricant. You should not use silicone or hybrid lubes to avoid damaging the toy.

How to Use Xara Versa Vibrator

After you’ve fully charged Xara Toys’ Versa rabbit vibrator, it’s time to have some fun! Grab your preferred water or oil based lube and apply it to your anatomy and the vibrator. To turn the device on, press and hold the bottom power button for a second. Once the device is powered on, use the same power button to quick press to switch the vibration frequency of the internal stimulator. Use the top button to quick press to switch the clitoral stimulator vibration frequency. If you want just one motor going, press and hold the top button to stop the clitoral stimulator. To turn the device off, simply press and hold the power button again until the vibrations stop and the lights turn off.

The two motors are separately controlled with the two buttons, the smaller head can only be turned on while the larger head is also on.

Now that I’m done talking the basics of how to use Versa, let me break it down a bit further since there is so much more than just turning it on and off.

  • Rabbit vibrator: Versa will arrive in the box already configured as a rabbit vibrator. After lubing up the device, insert the larger head vaginally and adjust the smaller, external head so it fits comfortably against the clitoris.
  • Couples vibrator: After unlooping the small head, the device will be “V” shaped. Couples can each insert one head into themselves, similarly to a double ended dildo or a strapless strap-on. Alternatively, one partner can have one end inserted while the opposite end is used externally against the other partner’s clitoris, perineum or anus.
  • Double penetration (DP) vibrator: By unlooping the smaller head, a user can insert one end of the vibrator vaginally and the other end of the vibrator anally.
  • Double vaginal penetration (DVP) vibrator: With the vibrator unlooped, both ends can be inserted vaginally (be sure to stretch and warm up first)

To unloop the vibrator, gently pull the smaller stimulator head through the hole on the shaft of the larger stimulator head. There is a little resistance when looping and unlooping, however it’s pretty minimal and was designed for this.

My Experiences with Xara Toys Versa

When I first opened the box of goodies from Peepshow Toys containing several toys from Xara Toys, I remember feeling really curious and amused by level of flexibility Versa had. I giggled as I “untied” the vibrator before slipping the smaller stimulator head back into the hole to put it back in the box. It was an interesting toy, but it wasn’t the first vibrator from them that I wanted to review. Swish needed to go first, it was just such a unique movement! Versa’s unique design ultimately drew me to test and review it next.

As I often do with new vibrators, I turned it on in hand to cycle through the vibration modes and get a feel for what I’d go up against. One of the things that really shocked me was that there were actually two vibration patterns on the g-spot stimulator that caught my interest: patterns 8 and 9 in the cycle, both of which are patterns that feel like a steady pulsation of the vibrations. No increasing or decreasing of speeds. Almost like a steady tap of vibrations. My curiosity was piqued and my excitement to try the device grew.

Not only were there patterns that stuck out to me, but I was surprised at the rumbly vibrations in the g-spot head. I don’t know what I was expecting, but rumbly vibrations were not it. They’re not the deepest rumbles, but on the two lowest steady speeds, the vibrations were on the rumbly side of the spectrum. At the two highest steady speeds, the vibrations felt more buzzy, though. For the clitoral head, all four steady speeds felt more buzzy than rumbly, and none of the patterns really caught my attention. That’s pretty typical for me, though. I don’t care for patterns a majority of the time, and in the rare chances that I do care about them, it’s only for internal vibrators.

With my curiosity properly piqued, I was ready to give Versa a go.

I first tried the rabbit vibrator the way it came: looped together as a rabbit vibrator. With both motors running, I did achieve orgasm, but it took me a while to get there. It took look enough that I learned just how warm the vibrator gets during use. Versa isn’t marketed as a warming vibrator, but it definitely heated up. I guess it got a bit too hot, because it auto shut off shortly after I noticed how warm it felt. It hadn’t run out of charge, which I learned the next day when testing to see if it still held any charge.

Since I am someone who likes to edge myself along so I can have a really powerful orgasm, the overheating isn’t ideal. I found myself wanting to warm up a bit with a small, gentle vibrator on my clitoris before reaching for Versa. When I did this, I was able to achieve orgasm much faster with Versa, and did not run into the overheating auto shut off again.

The flexibility of the device was pretty comfortable for me. I did have to do some adjusting to find just the right placement of the clitoral stimulator, but once I got it placed, gosh did it feel good! I really liked all of the steady speeds on the clitoral stimulator partnered with the steady speeds of the g-spot stimulator. Of course, I also tried the 8th and 9th patterns of the g-spot stimulator since they interested me. I was surprised to learn it was much easier for me to achieve orgasm faster using those two patterns!

As a rabbit vibrator, I was also pretty happy to find that the handle is wide enough for my thighs to help hold the vibrator in place so I can use it hands-free. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to do so, as the handle didn’t seem as wide as Swish’s handle, so it was quite a relief to know that I can. When I tried the device while DP’ing myself, I could also use it hands-free, but it wasn’t my preference.

If you’re a regular reader, you may remember that I’ve started experimenting more with receiving anal penetration. When I realized that Xara Versa could be used for DP, I felt giddy to try it out. After unlooping the vibrator, I lubed it up and slid the g-spot stimulator into my pussy with ease… then struggled to get the smaller end inserted anally. I really had to get the bigger head inserted as far in as I could take it vaginally before I could get the smaller head inserted. I found it easiest to insert while on my side, which also ended up being my favorite position.

One of the more comfortable positions for anal penetration for me is on my stomach, so after I got the vibrator inserted into both holes, I rolled onto my front and started rocking my hips up and down. This is usually one of my favorite positions with rabbit vibrators, and I did like this position when using Versa as a rabbit. However, when using it for DP, I felt like something was missing while in that prone position. So, I rolled back onto my side and reached back behind my body to start tapping the device to give me mini-thrusting sensations.

That’s when I exploded in pleasure. I started with small taps on the handle before working up to longer and faster strokes. I almost never thrust with rabbit vibrators, though I wasn’t here either. Xara Versa was unlooped with the smaller head inserted anally and the larger head inserted vaginally, and I was losing my damn mind with pleasure. Turns out that what I was missing was longer, faster strokes!

Another benefit of using the vibrator for DP while on my side was that I was able to reach and use the handle comfortably. I was propped up on the arm closest to the bed, while my top arm was not impeded by my big belly. The position really lent itself to enabling me to comfortably grip the handle and thrust the device into myself without experiencing any pain or discomfort.

There are two other ways of using Versa that I did not try: as a couples vibrator or for double vaginal penetration (DVP). In theory though, users can use the vibrator either way. For both options, you’ll want to unloop or untie the clitoral stimulator. As a couples vibrator, users can insert one end into themselves and the other end into their partner (like a double ended dildo), or have one end inserted into one user and the other end used externally against their perineum, clitoris, or anus.

For DVP, I suppose I could have tried this, but when the vibrator is unlooped, the stimulator heads face different directions and are different lengths. I struggled recently to get Seth’s dual shafts inserted separately, and those were the same length and faced in the same direction. Versa is much, much firmer than Seth, so in theory it may be easier for DVP. However, it was a struggle for me to get Versa inserted for DP, which leads me to believe that I’d need a helping hand to get it inserted for DVP. I’m not really a fan of DVP, so I decided to skip this method of use.

Finally, the last thing I want to touch on is the noise level of the Xara Toys Versa vibrator. I didn’t see the dual stimulator marketed as a “quiet vibrator” on Peepshow Toys’ site, so I was expecting something loud. Maybe not Rattler level loud, but I didn’t expect a quiet device. As I was testing the vibrator, I was unable to hear the vibrations from outside the room with the door closed (though I live in a 1920’s European build, so there are insulated concrete walls but noise does travel really well in my apartment). Without even a blanket on top, the vibrator’s noise was undetectable outside of the room.

Pros:

  • waterproof submersible
  • made with body safe silicone
  • one of The Most Flexible “rabbit” vibrators I’ve ever tried
  • can be used as a rabbit or unlooped for DP and/or DVP or as a couples toy
  • easy to clean
  • affordably priced at $59.99
  • 10 vibration modes on each stimulator
  • rechargeable
  • separately controlled motors
  • good for g-spot stimulation
  • powerful vibrations go from rumbly to buzzy
  • quiet

Cons:

  • can overheat leading to auto shut off with prolonged use (not great for long edging sessions)
  • vibrations in the smaller head can ONLY be used while the larger head is turned on
  • only 4 steady speeds on each motor (I’d trade patterns for more speeds)

My Final Thoughts on Xara Toys Versa Vibrator

Xara Toys has done it again with yet another unique vibrator! Swish had the unique wriggling movement, while Versa is unique in its flexibility and ability to transform from a rabbit vibrator into so much more. I was not expecting a dual shafted vibrator that I’d love thrusting during double penetration, yet here I am writing this review while wondering when I’ll have time to do it again. All of that, and Versa is affordably price at less than $100!

The powerful vibrations of Versa are not for those who prefer gentle vibrations, as they are pretty intense from the moment the device is powered on. Thankfully, the intense vibrations are not as loud as some vibrators out there, making this a good option for those who live with roommates or family.
