I want more flower dildos, more flower sex toys, more flowers in every part of my life, really. When I saw the email from Uncover Creations announcing their new dildo, the Lily Bud Dildo, I swooned. One day, I’ll have a bouquet of silicone flowers (hopefully) of all different varieties. Lily buds, hibiscus, roses, all of ’em.

Until that day, I’ll just be over here quietly collecting flower and botanical sex toys (and reviewing them as I go!)

Meet The Lily Bud Dildo

With 4 sizes available, Uncover Creations’ Lily Bud Dildo is a floral design with a large, bulbous head and a curved, tapered stem that goes from thin down to thick. The base of the dildo is a grindable design, and you may remember seeing me share something like it before. The texture of the shaft and head is moderately low, with gentle, diagonal ripples along the shaft and rounded, vertical rippling petals on the blossom head.

When shopping Uncover Creations, you have the option to shop their available inventory or customize your toy. The customization options available are size, firmness, colour style, base and accessories. Colour styles allow buyers to choose Surprise Me Basic or Premium (1 color vs 2 colors), solid, fade, marble or UC Trademark. With solid, fade and marble colour styles, customers can from 37 different colors. The UC Trademark is a shimmery pink bud and base, with a shimmery green shaft.

I opted to customize mine and selected a size small in the super soft 00-40 firmness with the UC Trademark coloration and a vac-u-lock hole. It is very squishy, and the vac-u-lock hole adds an extra bit of squish towards the bottom of the shaft. The size small has the following dimensions:

  • Total length: 7″ / 17.8cm
  • Insertable length: 5.5″ / 14cm
  • Head circumference: 5.5″ / 14cm
  • Head diameter: 1.8″ / 4.6cm
  • Shaft circumference: 6″ / 15.2cm
  • Base circumference: 10.5″ / 26.7cm

Care Instructions for Uncover Creations Lily Bud Dildo

Soft silicone is known to have a sticky or tacky feeling, which means that dust, lint, hair, etc clings to the surface. Because of this, it’s important to wash your toys both before and after each use. To wash your silicone dildos, use an unscented, antibacterial soap to wash with warm water. The petals on the base have lots of nooks and crannies, so you may want to use a soft toothbrush to clean them. If you need to do a deeper clean, you have a few options:

  • boil in water for up to 10 minutes, taking care to not allow the toy to rest on the bottom or sides of the pan
  • soak in a 10% bleach/water solution for about 10 minutes then rinse (do not boil bleach and do not use undiluted bleach)
  • place in the dishwasher on a sanitize setting with no detergent

Why might a deeper clean be necessary? It may not be, but if you’re using grease, oil or silicone based lubricants, they may leave a residue on the surface of the toy. Or, perhaps you’re wanting to switch from using a toy anally to vaginally, or you’re selling/giving away a toy from your collection. The deeper cleaning methods I’ve shared are not just cleaning methods, they’re actually sterilization methods that are all safe for platinum cure silicone toys, like those made and sold by Uncover Creations.

“Did Sydney just say something about silicone based lubes?” Yes, I did. According to Uncover Creations’ care information, it is safe to use silicone lube with their toys. If your toy is damaged by silicone lube, Uncover Creations will arrange a replacement to be sent out free of charge.

How you store your sex toys is also an important part of taking care of them! UC recommends storing toys in an air-tight plastic box, away from sex toys made with non-silicone (PVC, jelly, rubber, TPE, etc). Avoid abrasive and heavily textured surfaces, as they can leave permanent dents in the silicone. It is safe to store your platinum cure silicone toys touching one another, as long as you know 100% that it is platinum cure silicone. Personally, I store mine in display cases and on shelves!

My Experiences with Uncover Creations’ Lily Bud Dildo

As part of my on-going affiliate collaboration with Uncover Creations, they allow me to select toys that I’m interested in reviewing. They had recently released the Lily Bud Dildo and I’m a bit of a floral goth myself. I love botanicals and florals, so naturally, it was the first toy I added to my cart. The curved, tapered shaft with the bulbous head looked like a design that I’d enjoy. I love a good g-spot dildo and I enjoy a nice stretch, so I hoped that Lily Bud would give me both.

When the package of goodies from Uncover Creations arrived, I was happy to see that their packaging was updated and changed from the last time I got a care package from them (no plastic bag, just paper/cardboard confetti that was a pain to wash off which also gave me the icks). This time, all the toys I selected came in a very large, thick plastic bag. I selected 2 dildos and 2 grinders, though a 5th dildo was included as part of their “Free Mystery Dildo” deal. I didn’t see any dirt, dust, confetti, or other material sticking to the surface of any of the toys, though I do still recommend that toys are always washed before use.

As someone who tends to prefer 00-50 shore firmness with my platinum cure silicone sex toys, I was surprised at the softness of UC’s 00-40 silicone. There is significantly more squish than 00-50, even above the vac-u-lock hole. The size small super soft dildo does hold its shape when standing, without any leaning or drooping. In use, the vac-u-lock hole is noticeable! I felt that the lower part of the shaft didn’t give me quite as much stretch as I anticipated. When using the dildo with the vac-u-lock hole filled with an ergonomic handle or a port plug, I did achieve that warm, stretching sensation. I prefer using this Lily Bud dildo with the port plugged, with either option, particularly when thrusting it into myself during solo use.

Using the Lily Bud dildo was delightful, whether on my own or with a partner using it on me.

Adding the optional vac-u-lock port was a good choice for me, because I really enjoy thrusting sensations with Lily Bud. The feeling of the bulbous head moving inside of me is pleasurably stimulating, and I like enjoying short strokes slowly building up to taking the dildo to the base. The shaft isn’t quite long enough for ideal, comfortable use to pump in and out of myself, however the ergonomic handle saved the day every time I did want thrusts during solo play. If my upper body is propped up on pillows, I can comfortably thrust it into myself for a little while, though not for nearly as long as I can with the handle.

The softness of the silicone did make the dildo less than ideal for solo g-spot orgasms, as it just can’t provide enough pressure for me to achieve that specific type of orgasm. I still have plenty of orgasms with Lily Bud, they’re just different types of orgasms, and that’s ok! I think the firmer option UC offers, Medium 10A, would make for better g-spot stimulation but I was worried that 10A would be a bit too firm for me to comfortably enjoy the stretch. The shape of the head is designed for g-spot and prostate stimulation, so even though the 00-40 silicone isn’t firm enough for direct pressure, I am still getting g-spot stimulation while thrusting.

Cock warming with Lily Bud was enjoyable for me too, but I prefer thrusting with it since the super soft silicone doesn’t give me the g-spot pressure that I want. When I used Lily Bud by just inserting it, letting my thighs hold the base, and using a vibrator externally, I preferred to not have the vac-u-lock port plugged. Mainly due to the port plug sticking out slightly, and the firmness of the plug just didn’t feel comfortable when pressed into the already delicate skin on my inner thighs.

I asked Cassie to try using the dildo on me with the vac-u-lock port plugged and unplugged so that I could include her perspective here. She said that using the dildo on me was easier without the vac-u-lock port plugged, as it allowed her to slide a finger into the port hole for better stabilization while thrusting it in and out of me. With the port plug, it wasn’t as comfortable for her to hold since it does stick out past the base and was a little too small for her to grip.

One thing that did disappoint me about the overall design of Lily Bud was the base. With the flower petals angled upwards, I’d hoped that it would work for my anatomy to grind against the base. Sadly, they don’t quite reach far enough to do much for me and my anatomy. They don’t reach my clitoris, instead just rubbing against my labia during vaginal use. That feels nice, but labia stimulation isn’t enough for me to get excited about or orgasm from.

After all the testing that I did with Lily Bud, thrusting was my preferred method of stimulation with the dildo. And whooo, did I do a lot of testing of this flower dildo! It’s even worked its way into my regular rotation of dildos that I grab to have my wife use on me, so it gets used regularly even outside of my normal sex toy testing routine.

There were two types of testing that I did not do: strap-on and anal. Lily Bud can be used with a strap-on harness, but I would prefer the vac-u-lock port plugged both as a top and as a bottom. I don’t have a vac-u-lock harness nor harness attachment and the port plug from Uberrime sticks out too much for that to comfortably sit against my body. It is anal safe, though! The dildo is much thicker than I can take anally, but also too small and too soft to meet Cassie’s preferences, so we just did not test it in either way.

One thing that isn’t particularly important but that I’m going to say anyway is that Lily Bud feels slightly out of place among Uncover Creations other dildo offerings. They do have 2 floral themed grinders, but their dildos are primarily fantasy dildos, like aliens, werewolves, dragons and tentacles. I’d expect a model like Lily Bud in the catalog of a brand like Faux Phallus, so it really sticks out to me in UC’s catalog.

Pros:

  • made with platinum cure silicone
  • buy from available inventory or customize yours by size, firmness, colour style, and base style (vac-u-lock port is not available on XS size)
  • easy to clean and/or sterilize
  • non-phallic design is semi-discreet
  • designed for g-spot and prostate stimulation
  • provides a nice stretching sensation when hilted

Cons:

  • grindable base didn’t give me the stimulation I was hoping for
  • soft silicone can have a sticky/tacky feeling that dirt, dust, lint, etc cling to
  • vac-u-lock port makes the lower part of the shaft extra squishy

My Final Thoughts on Uncover Creations’ Lily Bud Dildo

The beautiful floral design of Uncover Creations’ latest dildo release, Lily Bud Dildo, is a pleasurable though semi-discreet dildo. The shape lends itself to a bookcase decoration that nobody would think twice about. Though the super soft firmness meant that I missed out on direct pressure against my g-spot, I still experienced plenty of pleasure when using this dildo. I love the curved, tapered shaft that gives me a nice stretch, and thrusting with this dildo is comfortable at any speed or intensity with the moderately-low texture. I do wish the base was a tiny bit wider for better external stimulation, though my meaty labia may be partially to blame. Overall, I’m really glad that I selected Lily Bud to review!

With moderately-low texture and 4 sizes & 3 firmnesses available, I think the Lily Bud dildo is a great option for anyone looking for a semi-discreet dildo. Texture lovers may find Lily Bud lacking, while those who enjoy a nice stretch may find this design a great addition to their toy boys or collection.
