From the depths below, something sinister yet sexy is rising to the surface! It’s the Oceanus Tentacle fantasy dildo from Uberrime’s Phantasia First Time Fantasy line, and this is The Dildo that started me on my anal exploration journey. Yea. This one.

In my video review of the Equus Unicorn Horn from the same line, I mention trying that one for anal, which I have! But it’s not the one I started with. I actually started with the Oceanus Tentacle since it’s got a more gradual taper and I’m an anal newb. It wasn’t until I was 37, living in the Netherlands, and no longer on hormonal birth control that I started feeling any interest in trying anal stimulation on my own anatomy. The curiosity was perfectly timed with the arrival of Oceanus Tentacle fantasy dildo! So, let’s get down to it…
The Basics of Oceanus Tentacle Fantasy Dildo by Uberrime
With a tapered shaft, the non-phallic dildo Oceanus Tentacle is a moderately textured fantasy dildo made by indie toy company Uberrime. The tentacle dildo has two rows of suckers going from the tip down to the base, gentle bumpy texture on the opposite side, and an anal & harness friendly base that has starfish and coral as decorative features, as well as the brand name on the side of the base. It’s made with body-safe silicone and pigments in Florida.

Available in two sizes, Oceanus Tentacle is available as either a ready-made model or for shoppers to customize. With the custom option, shoppers can choose between two firmness options and between 1-3 colors from a list of 60 options. The size Large version can also have a vac-u-lock port or a bullet vibrator hole added to the base, but the size Small is not big enough to accommodate either modification. I got the size small in soft shore 00-50 silicone, which has the following dimensions:
- Total Length: 6.5″ / 16.51cm
- Useable Length: 5.5″ / 13.97cm
- Maximum Diameter: 1.59″ / 4.04cm
- Maximum Circumference: 4.99″ / 12.67cm
- O-Ring Size: 1.75″ / 4.445cm
How to Care for Oceanus Tentacle Dildo
Soft silicone has a sticky like surface that causes hair, lint, dust, etc to cling to the surface, so it’s really important to make sure that you’re washing your fantasy dildo both before and after each use. Specialty toy cleaners are an option, but you can also choose to use an unscented, antibacterial soap that is not made with silicone. I found that using a small, soft toothbrush helped make cleaning the suckers much easier than doing it by hand, as it helped get in all the nooks and crannies.

In case you need to do a deep clean, that’s pretty easy too, though slightly more time consuming. You can soak the dildo in a 1 part bleach, 10 parts water mixture for 5-10 minutes, or you can place it in boiling water for up to 10 minutes as long as you make sure the dildo isn’t resting against the side or bottom of the pot. The final deep clean option is to run it through a dishwasher but only if your dishwasher has a sanitize setting and you do not use any detergent. You don’t really need to do a deep clean like that often, however you should do a deep clean if you’re selling a used toy, you’re planning to use it vaginally after using it anally, or you’ve used an oil based lubricant.
Speaking of lubricant, Uberrime specifically recommends only using water-based lube or natural oil lubes. They warn against using silicone lube or hybrid lubes made with silicone to avoid damaging the surface of the toy. My go to lube is the H2O Original by JO, though for anal use I preferred the H2O Gel.

Letting Oceanus Tentacle Drag Me Down to the Depths
As a fan of Uberrime, when they offered to send me a couple models from the Phantasia Beginner Friendly Fantasy line, I was pretty excited. Some of their fantasy dildos are simply far too textured for me, and frankly it isn’t just their dildos that are a bit intimidating for me. I like texture, but I’m also particular about it. The Phantasia line, however, is full of fantasy sex toys that are approachable, including a dragon, alien, werewolf, vampire, unicorn horn, and the star of this review, the tentacle.
Using this dildo vaginally was really comfortable, though I found myself wishing that it was a bit thicker and/or had a bit more curve for better g-spot stimulation. The texture of the suckers overshadowed the bumps on the opposite side of the shaft, as the texture was more intense. I say “intense” though that’s not really how I would describe the texture overall. In comparison to other tentacle dildos I’ve tried, I’d say that the texture is less intense than both Bad Dragon’s tentacle dildos, Ika and Tako, Paladin Pleasure Sculptors’ Illex, and Flirty Dawg’s Levaina, though more intense than Uncover Creations’ Tentacle Ovipositor. (I gave away my BD Ika during my international move, so it is not pictured)

Oceanus Tentacle is a great dildo for thrusting, especially if you like texture. I actually prefer thrusting the dildo over my usual insert & leave it while using an external vibrator. When I tried using the tentacle dildo to insert while using a bullet vibrator on my clitoris, I overall just felt underwhelmed. I want more girth, a swell, a firmer silicone, or a curve of the tentacle when it comes to my usual masturbation style.
However, one thing that I didn’t consider initially, is how perfect this dildo is to use as a warm-up externally. After slathering the fantasy dildo in lube, I used it to gently rub it up & down against my clit, similar to how I use a grinder. And wow! That was fantastic. The suckers felt so good as they rubbed against my anatomy. I loved it!
I did have my wife use Oceanus Tentacle fantasy dildo on me vaginally while she was going down on me, and as long as she was thrusting it, the dildo felt divine. Again though, I really preferred the thrusting sensation over it just being inserted and left alone. We did not put it into a strap-on harness for actual use, but I did measure it and swing it around while wearing it inserted into a couple different harnesses. The wide base accommodated all of my o-ring strap-on harnesses really well.

It wasn’t until I went off of my hormonal birth control that I felt any desire to explore my own anal pleasure. When the box of toys from Uberrime arrived and I saw the actual size and shape of Oceanus Tentacle dildo, I knew in my mind that I was going to eventually stick it up my butt. The gradual taper, that is already pretty thin to begin with, is really appealing and as someone who knows enough about anal, I know starting small is important. I’ve tried a couple extra small butt plugs, but prior to this dildo, I’d never put a dildo inside my anus nor had I ever repeatedly thrust a toy into my hole.
The narrow girth of the dildo partnered with the softness of the shore 00-50 silicone wasn’t exactly ideal for insertion. The size was right, but the soft silicone felt even more soft at the tip, so I really had to focus to guide it in. Since it was my first time thrusting any sort of toy into myself anally, I went slow, not even trying to bottom out with the dildo. I really enjoyed the texture of the dildo for thrusting anally just as much as I liked it vaginally, and I ended up enjoying it more just leaving it inserted anally than I did vaginally.
As I continued using the dildo over time, I was able to finally take it all, though I quickly learned that I had to be careful selecting a dildo to use vaginally at the same time. If a dildo I had inserted vaginally was too thick, I struggled to achieve orgasm. But the few times that I had Oceanus Tentacle inserted anally, a not-too-thick dildo inserted vaginally and a bullet vibrator going on my clitoris, WHEW! I’ve never orgasmed quite like that before!

Since I first tried Oceanus Tentacle fantasy dildo anally, I haven’t switched back to using it vaginally. I simply realized I preferred it that way!
Pros:
- Made with body-safe silicone
- Customize size, firmness and colors, or buy a Ready Made
- Approachable texture is raised but still comfortable
- Harness and anal friendly
- Great for anal newbs like me
- Tapered shaft is comfortable and easy for insertion vaginally
Cons:
- Small size can’t accommodate a vac-u-lock attachment hole
- Dust, hair & lint cling to the surface of soft silicone
- I’d need a bit more length to comfortably thrust this into myself unassisted (short arms/big belly)
- Soft silicone made tip of dildo slightly more difficult to insert anally

My Final Thoughts on Uberrime Oceanus Tentacle Fantasy Dildo
I never thought I’d say this, but I absolutely love using Uberrime’s Oceanus Tentacle Fantasy Dildo anally. For me, that’s really when it shines, regardless of whether I’m thrusting or just letting it sit in place after insertion. Sure, I enjoyed it for vaginal thrusting too, but I didn’t love just letting it sit in place. I appreciate the design that provides a more gradual taper than Equus Unicorn Horn from the same line by Uberrime, which is why I selected it as my first anal dildo.
I will also mention that I really, really love Uberrime as a company, though I’ve done my best to leave my bias for the company out of this review. Uberrime has regularly supported SWAID Collective by providing toys for us to raffle off during events to raise money for our harm reduction supplies & microgrant fund. They’re also an LGBTQIA+ owned & operated company that’s based out of my hometown, Orlando, Florida.
My positive feelings about the brand aside, I still really love this dildo and think it’s an excellent choice for those who are new to fantasy dildo textures or are looking to experiment with anal play. Without it, I don’t know that I would be experimenting as often as I am!
