You know how I love independent toy makers! Today, I’m shining light on Twilight Meadow Creations, a Swedish based queer owned toy company. They’re the makers of Näcken, a semi-realisitc dildo that my wife and I both love.
Started in 2019, Twilight Meadow Creations is a passion project turned business that creates some truly beautiful works of art. And by art, I mean sex toys, but also they are artistic sex toys. Similar to Fantasy Grove, TMC offers custom made toys as well as inventory drops of themed pours. My wife happened to purchase this specific Näcken that I’m reviewing today during an inventory drop!

Näcken is a realistic dildo with a long shaft, a coronal ridge and foreskin-covered glans. Midway up the shaft, there’s a slight swell and a curve. The dildo features veins, giving different sensations while in-use. The base features large testicles with some texture, and makes this dildo both harness compatible and anal safe.
TMC offers Näcken in 5 different sizes: mini, small, medium, large and grande. Each size is available in extra soft, soft, medium or firm. They do handle customs differently from some other companies: from the Wildwood Alchemy Custom Näcken page, you can select a single color or “I want a total surprise!”. To get a guided surprise custom, you have to first order the Wildwood Grimoire, which are not always available.

Wildwood Alchemy vs Wildwood Grimoire Näcken
If you’re wanting a custom Näcken or any other toy from Twilight Meadow Creations, this is really important information for you to know:
- Wildwood Alchemy are complete surprise customs. You may not send inspiration, you may not ask for specific colors. This is 100% surprise for customers!
- Wildwood Grimoire are guided surprise customs. You may send a color palette, image inspiration, characters, fursonas, whatever you’d like for TMC to then create a surprise custom using that inspiration.
- Wildwood Pride are also guided surprise customs with a Pride-theme. This option only allows you to use a Pride flag to give TMC inspiration.
Twilight Meadow Creations does note that custom pours may take 2-8 weeks, not including shipping & transit times.
Care Instructions
As a silicone dildo, cleaning Näcken is quite easy: grab an unscented soap and wash the dildo with warm water. Make sure you’re not using a soap that is silicone based, though! For a deeper clean, you can also soak in a 1 part bleach water mixture, or boil it, or run it through the dishwasher on the sanitize setting. Be sure not to boil bleach, though!!!
Lubricant wise, you should only use water-based or oil-based lubes. Silicone or hybrid lubes may damage the surface of the toy.
After thoroughly cleaning and allowing your toy to dry, you can store it in a dry place away from rough surfaces. Do not store silicone toys with softer plastics, non-silicone rubbers such as PVC or jelly, as they become “melted”, discolored or sticky. It is safe to store Näcken with other body-safe materials, such as silicone, stainless steel, ABS plastic and ceramics. If you’re not sure about the material of another toy you’re storing it with, it’s better to be safe than be sorry!
Experiencing Näcken
Cassie, my wife, was the one who originally picked out and purchased Näcken. At the time, she was in the market for a semi-realistic dildo with a long shaft but not as thick as some of her other options. Ideally, she wanted the dildo to also be harness compatible, since most of her dildo usage is while I am strap-on fucking her. After finding Twilight Meadow Creations, she knew she found what she was looking for and ordered one from their inventory. Expecting to wait at least a month for the dildo to arrive, we were pleasantly surprised when it arrived within a month!
For a long time, Näcken was a dildo that we only used on Cassie. It was perfect for me in a strap-on harness because it had a long enough shaft that my plus size body didn’t hinder me from using it to fuck my wife. If you don’t know, plus size folks who are strap-on tops often need a longer toy due to the size of our bodies sometimes getting in the way or making a toy seem to “shrink” into our plushness.
The base wasn’t the most ideal for me, as a strap-on top, because it would sometimes get a bit uncomfortable pressing into my pelvic region if we were going too rough. But, as long as we weren’t having rough sex, Näcken was comfortable to wear in both my underwear style harnesses and my strappy CalExotics harness.
Speaking of the base, the size was perfect for my size hands if I wanted to hand pump it instead of using a harness to fuck my wife. I could easily cup the base in my hand without experiencing any hand pain, assuming I was doing so at the right angle.
Seeing how much my wife loved Näcken and feeling inspired by my own stretching, I decided to give Näcken a try too. Length wise, I wasn’t ever able to “bottom out” with Näcken, but I really enjoyed the full feeling that the slight swell on the shaft provided. However, the real winning detail for me was the gentle coronal ridge and the foreskin around the glans. The texture isn’t a lot, but it’s not subtle either: for me, it was damn near perfect!!
Partnering Näcken with a bullet vibrator, I couldn’t get enough. I couldn’t stop squirming and fucking myself with the dildo, even while my wife was the one fucking me with it!
Pros:

Cons:
- The silicone does pick up lint quite easily
- May not have enough texture for some users
- Customs are more “inspirations” rather than true customs
- Potentially long turn around time from ordering to receiving
The Verdict on Näcken
As a plus size person who has sometimes struggled with short dildos in my harness, I found using Näcken was so much easier than those shorter dongs! In fact, Näcken started to replace Dirk as my wife’s go-to “comfort dildo” for regular usage. The material isn’t quite as delicate as Dirk, and while the measurements are not 1:1, Näcken was close enough that Cassie enjoyed it just as much as she did Dirk.
Since Twilight Meadow Creations is a small business of just 2 people, I understand not offering truly customized dildos since life tends to be quite busy and there is potentially less silicone wasted this way. Overall, Näcken is a great dildo. Depending on which size and firmness you choose, I think that Näcken is a great beginner dildo. There’s not too much texture and the texture that does exist is semi-realistic. But Näcken isn’t just for beginners! It’s also for more advanced users who sometimes just want something with less texture. It’s great for people who like a lot of length without too much girth.
