SVibe products have always intrigued me. From the first time I saw the Snail Curve to the first time I tested the Snail Gizi, SVibe has some unique vibrators that repeatedly catch my eye. After I published my last review of a vibrator from SVibe, the company launched several new models that I was keen to test, and thankfully they offered to send me a few of their new models. Today, I’m talking about SVibe Snail Axi, but keep your eyes out for reviews of Snail Gizi Duo and Snail Gizi Pro in the coming months!
Axi is SVibe’s answer to one of the most popular, most iconic sex toys available on the market: the nJoy Pure Wand. Known for being one of the best toys for g-spot and prostate stimulation, the Pure Wand has seen its share of knock-offs. But, the one thing I hadn’t seen until recently was a vibrating version. Sure, there are plenty of g-spot vibrators out there and I’ve even tested a number of them, but nothing that has a similar overall design to the Pure Wand. Axi isn’t a 1:1 comparison to the Pure Wand, but I’ll get to that later in this review.

First, let’s focus on Axi as a standalone product!
About Snail Axi by SVibe
SVibe’s Axi vibrator has a familiar shape, though you will notice a few key differences between it and the nJoy Pure Wand. Axi is made with silicone, has a loop handle at one end, and doesn’t just vibrate. It also has a fingering motion that can be used with or without the vibrations. The curved design has a bulbous tip specifically for g-spot and p-spot stimulation. It is a single motor device, though there are separate button controls and 2 fingering intensities and 5 vibration intensities, plus 3 combo modes.
The device is waterproof submersible according to the manual, though I did not see an IPX rating in the manual nor on the site. Axi is also rechargeable and ultra-quiet. The insertable length is 4.7″ / 120mm and the circumference of the bulbous head is 3.937″ / 100mm. There are two colors available: Blue Lagoon and Granite Noir. AXI comes with a magnetic charging cord, user manual and a satin storage pouch.

Care Instructions for SVibe Snail Axi
It’s very easy to clean silicone sex toys, like SVibe Snail Axi. Use warm water and an antibacterial, unscented soap to lather it up and rinse. You can use a toy cleaner, but your regular dish or hand soap is also perfectly acceptable and safe to use. Because Axi is motorized, you can’t run it through the dishwasher nor boil it, but you can still sanitize it by soaking it for about 10 minutes in a 10% bleach mixture. After soaking it, rinse the device and allow it to fully dry before you store it. If air drying isn’t an option, gently pat dry the vibrator with a clean towel or paper towel, but do not drag it along the surface of the device.
The care instructions from SVibe say that you should not use their products with silicone lubricant and that water-based lube is the best option for their silicone vibrators.
To charge the vibrator, plug the USB into a port or charging block, then magnetically attach the opposite end of the cord to the charging port on the device, located on the bottom side of the loop handle at the end of the shaft. While charging, the LED lights on the buttons will flash and the device may heat up when charging. Once the device is done charging, the LED lights will turn steady. It takes about 2 hours for the sex toy to fully charge, with each charge lasting approximately one hour, depending on intensity mode(s).

How to Use SVibe Axi and Find Your G-Spot or P-Spot
Once you’ve fully charged Axi, grab your favorite water-based lubricant and apply some to both the tip of the device and your anatomy. I recommend inserting it before you power on the device. The buttons are located on the loop handle on the opposite end of the head. To turn the device on, press and hold either button for 3 seconds. The single squiggly line controls the vibrations and the double squiggly line controls the “come hither” motion. A quick press of the single line button will switch between the 5 vibration intensity levels, and if you double click the same button quickly, you can switch between the 3 vibration modes. To switch between the 2 fingertip motion speeds, do a single quick press of the double line button.
Axi is designed for g-spot or prostate stimulation, and if you don’t know where exactly your’s is located, I suggest trying to find it with your finger tip first before trying to find it using the vibrator. For people with a g-spot, while on your back, insert your index and/or middle finger palm facing upwards. Your fingertips should rub the top of the vagina, which will feel smooth except for a ball of tissue. It’s located a couple inches inside, on the same side of the body, in roughly the same spot as the clitoris. If you’re able to do so, have your thumb on the clitoris on the outside of the body so you can touch your fingertip(s) to your thumb. You may be more likely to find your g-spot if you’re already aroused, so try some external stimulation to help warm up before you try to locate your spot.

For people with a prostate, while on your back, reach between your legs and insert a well lubed up index and/or middle finger, palm facing upwards, and curl your finger(s) towards your palm once the inside. The p-spot is located about 2 inches inside, and will feel like a large nut.
Once you’ve found your spot, you can use your finger to sort of measure how much of the vibrator will need to be inserted to reach the same spot. I found it easier to do with only the fingertip motion stimulator turned on. I don’t turn on the vibrations until I know that I’ve found just the right spot. For me, vibrations send stimulation all around, so finding the right spot becomes easier without the extra stimulation distracting me.
My Experiences with Snail Axi
When SVibe reached out to me to review some of their products again, I saw Axi and felt a very strong pull towards the new vibrator. I really enjoy the nJoy Pure Wand, and the idea of having a vibrating version piqued my curiosity. I didn’t realize at the time that the vibrator didn’t just vibrate, it also has a fingering “come hither” motion. It wasn’t until the first time I turned the vibrator on that I realized the potential future orgasms I was holding in my hands.

Using the vibrator was a delight every time… except the first time. The first time was a mixture of “oh this is different” and “how do I best hold this?” and some awkward stumbling of trying to find The Right Spot. I made the mistake of instantly powering on both motors as soon as I had the device inserted, but before I actually hit my g-spot with the toy. With the fingering motion already on, it just was too difficult for me to get the right placement. I learned from my mistake and have not run into the same situation again.
Each time I tested the vibrator again after that, I waited to power on both the vibrations and the finger motion until after I’d pressed the tip against my g-spot. I did always like to warm up externally first, and I usually opted for a separate toy for the job (even though Axi can be used on the clitoris). For me, Svibe Axi was the perfect choice when I wanted a quick orgasm but didn’t have a lot of time to dedicate to getting there. Once it was turned on, I achieved orgasm pretty quickly especially when I was already warmed up.
Out of curiosity, I did time myself on separate days to find out whether it was more or less efficient for me to be warmed up prior. The total time from starting to play to achieving orgasm was roughly the same whether I warmed up with a vibrator on my clitoris prior to inserting the Axi or not, with only a ~2 minute difference in time. I tried to pick days where I felt about the same so that I wasn’t dealing with too many factors that can impact ease of orgasm. For me, there are several factors that can impact the amount of time it takes for me to achieve orgasm, such as amount of sleep the night before, stress, happiness, etc.

There is nothing like a firm toy for g-spot stimulation, but a firm toy that also vibrates and/or does the “come hither” movement is truly next level for me. It didn’t matter if I used one or both types of stimulation, this device always got the job done very well and very quickly. It was even faster if I also used a vibrator externally. As someone who really enjoys edging, I will say that Axi was not the vibrator for me for that purpose. It was just way too efficient at helping me achieving orgasm that I couldn’t hold it off.
The only way I was able to edge using the vibrator was when I used it externally on my clitoris. With the bulbous tip pressed against my anatomy, it provided a mini-wand amount of surface contact. The tip doesn’t really have a spot that allows for pinpoint stimulation, which is my preference with clit vibrators, but I was able to use it to build up to a powerful orgasm or turn the intensity up all the way to have an orgasm faster. As a clit vibe, I did prefer to pair Axi with another toy, preferably a dildo that was just inserted and held in place by my thighs. My favorites were always g-spot dildos, as I’d have the most intense blended orgasm.
One of the things I did struggle with when using Axi externally was holding the device. No matter how many different ways I tried holding the handle while the tip was on my clitoris, I wasn’t ever able to find One Perfect Way to hold the device. I do have grip issues thanks to some nerve damage, but I didn’t really feel that type of discomfort. I appreciate the loop as a handle, especially when I have the vibrator inserted, but external use left me trying to find a comfortable way to hold my arms and hands.

Despite the narrow girth of Axi, I was able to get my wife, Cassie, to test the vibrator too. Her experiences as an anal user for prostate stimulation were quite different than mine. Cassie preferred the toy being used on her with just the vibrations on rather than using the vibrator on herself. She thought the fingering motion was nice, but if the vibrator was inserted too deep, she felt that the fingering motion was “hooking around something inside.” This wasn’t uncomfortable for her, but did lead to a bit of a messy situation, even though she tested it after having cleaned out.
Cassie didn’t test the vibrator to the same extent that I did, however if she continues using it and her feelings change, I’ll do my best to update this review.
Pros:
- quiet vibrations
- rechargeable
- ideal for g-spot or prostate stimulation
- come-hither fingering motion is fantastic
- waterproof submersible
- anal safe
- can be used internally or externally
- comes with a storage pouch
Cons:
- come-hither motion is slightly louder than vibrations
- does not come with a hard shell carrying case like some other SVibe products
- anal users should be careful not to go too deep with the come-hither motion

Which is Better: nJoy Pure Wand or SVibe Snail Axi
I obviously cannot tell you which toy is going to be better for you, but I can tell you what I prefer and why. Hopefully, this will help you determine which one will be better for you.
For solo use, SVibe Axi. I’m reaching for it more often than I’m reaching for the Pure Wand. The come hither motion is just so good and paired with the firm bulbous tip, it just hits the right spot perfectly. I even like the drag of the silicone a bit more for solo use because it adds a little bit of friction that helps keep it held in place hands free. I put the handle between my thick thighs, and the vibrator isn’t going anywhere. I love the Pure Wand, but that stainless steel has no friction to it, and I often end up accidentally pushing it out during solo use.
Not only that, but since it’s a vibrator, I can also use Axi on my clitoris as an external vibrator. The curved handle means that I’m never over extending my arms while holding it, though some may not find the handle very comfortable to hold. I found myself switching up how I was holding it from time to time trying to find what was most comfortable, but I’ve yet to find one particular spot that stood out to me as “the perfect hold.”

For partner use, nJoy Pure Wand. Having a partner hold it and control it and move it is so nice. I love it on it’s own like that and I love it paired with external clitoral stimulation. I don’t often enjoy having partners use vibrators on me, but I do go crazy for having a partner use a dildo on me. Vibrators can lead me to overstimulation a bit too quickly when someone else is using them on me, especially if the device is being thrusted or moved in any way. Though the fingering motion on Axi is really cool, it did require specific placement and then I didn’t want my partner moving it at all, which wasn’t something I am very interested in doing during partner play.
My Final Thoughts on SVibe Snail Axi
In my opinion, SVibe Snail Axi is a fantastic alternative to the nJoy Pure Wand. Not only is it ~$50 less expensive than the Pure Wand, it also vibrates and has a fun fingering motion that gives a great g-spot or prostate massage. I do miss the hardshell storage case that some of the other SVibe products come with, but the storage pouch is enough of a storage solution to keep me happy. I preferred using the Snail Axi for solo play, while my wife preferred it for partner play. I like how smooth the silicone is, and I didn’t have any troubles with the buttons during use.
Overall, I do really like the SVibe Snail Axi. I like the familiar design, though my wife misses having a large bulb on one end like the Pure Wand. I think that the Axi is a good option for someone who is curious about the Pure Wand but has a smaller budget or someone who is wanting to learn how to have g-spot or prostate orgasms. I do think those who have the Pure Wand will still find pleasure from the Axi.
