SilcArts Silc Touch v2 Vac-U-Lock Ergonomic Handle   New!

When I am reviewing toys, one of the things I pay a lot of attention to is how it feels to hold it. Is it comfortable? Does it irritate my existing grip issues? What would make it better, easier, or more comfortable to hold? Not all toys are comfortable to hold, but there is a solution! I recently shared a review of the SilcArts Suction Cup Ergonomic Handle, a sex toy accessory designed for people who may need assistance in achieving pleasure. If you read, or watched, that review and wished there was a Vac-U-Lock variation, I’ve got good news for you! There is one!

Ok, even better news! It’s not really just one. SilcArts actually has both the v1 and v2 ergonomic handles with a Vac-U-Lock head! Both v1 and v2 are available in 3 sizes, and there’s also the Silc Touch Long, for a total of 7 different vac-u-lock ergonomic handles available from SilcArts. And, I’m told by the owner that there’s even a v3 on the horizon. I’m unsure of the release date, but I do know they’re working on developing it, so it’s coming soon.

Pleasure Is for Every Body

I’m a big believer that pleasure is for every body, regardless of how well that body works. Big bodies, small bodies, able bodies, disabled bodies. All bodies deserve pleasure! But that’s easier said than done. Sure, there are sex toys on the market that can help plus size and/or disabled bodies achieve pleasure, but they’re not always the easiest to find, and when you do find them, it’s hard to know if they’ll actually work for you.

Partner that with the fact that many disabled Americans are on a limited, fixed income thanks to the US government, and well… maybe you’re starting to see the problem I’m presenting you with here. Body-safe, quality sex toys are expensive + disability income from the US gov’t is limited = many disabled Americans are forced to choose between using cheap, unsafe products or severely limiting their pleasure simply because they may not know better options exist / if those options could work for them.

I have a number of reasons for why I write sex toy reviews, and one of those is to honestly share what works for my plus size body and what works for my nerve damaged hand. Or, doesn’t work, if the case may be. I want to help people find what can work for them, without having to spend a fortune to figure it out. Which, on this note, if you have feedback about my reviews or information that you think my reviews are missing, please feel free to reach out to me on BlueSky!

So, with that in mind, let’s turn our focus to this review!

Get to Know SilcTouch v2 Vac-U-Lock Ergonomic Handle

As I mentioned earlier, there are three different sizes of the SilcArts SilcTouch v2 Vac-U-Lock Ergonomic Handle: small, medium, and large. The handles are made with Urethane plastic, and are available in your choice of blue, pink or purple. Each handle is made to order in the USA, and is compatible with SilcArts’ Vac-U-Lock toys as well as toys made by other brands.

I got the size medium v2 in pink, which is a bit more red than pink. The medium measures 12″ / 30cm length with 4.5″ / 11.43cm height and 2.25″ / 5.7cm circumference around the majority of the handle, excluding the Vac-U-Lock attachment port and the “demon tail” on the opposite end. My depth measurement varies from the chart shown on SilcArts’ website, as I’m not measuring the Vac-U-Lock end with a toy attached. I measured from the closest curve down to the end of the attachment port.

If the circumference of the handle is too narrow for you to hold, or if you can’t quite get the leverage you’d like from holding the demon tail, SilcArts does offer a solution for better, easier grip: the Loop Handles, which are made from extra firm body-safe platinum cure silicone. The Loop Handles slide onto the Ergonomic Handle and provide a thicker grip. I have not tried these handles, so I cannot speak to their comfort level.

If you’re more of a vibration fan than a dildo fan, SilcArts also has a vac-u-lock Vibe Holder! It slides onto the vac-u-lock attachment, and has a slot that holds a bullet vibrator. Unfortunately, they do not list what size bullets fit with this attachment, but the Vibe Holder is also made with platinum cure silicone and can be customized to your firmness and color preferences. I have not tried this accessory either, so I’m unable to share my experiences or which bullet vibes best fit.

SilcArts was the first full size sex toy handle on the market, and it was designed for the disabled community. Their ergonomic handles are made to help reduce hand strain and increase reach for easier thrusting. Deciding between the v1 and v2 really comes down to personal preference of whether you need more or less curve. I selected the v2 handle because I thought the depth and length would be easier for me than the more curved v1.

How to Use & Care for the SilcArts SilcTouch Ergonomic Handle

For this SilcArts SilcTouch v2 Ergonomic Handle, you’ll need to have a vac-u-lock dildo. Thankfully, SilcArts makes 5 vac-u-lock dildo options, there are some “mainstream” toy companies that also make them and a number of indie toy companies that give customers the option to add one when customizing a toy (I’ll include a list at the end of this review). If you’re crafty, careful, and willing, you can also turn a dildo you already have into a vac-u-lock dildo with a special drill bit.

Using a small amount of water based lubricant, run your finger around the inside of the vac-u-lock hole on the toy and the attachment port itself, then gently push the attachment into the vac-u-lock hole. This will create a bit of a vacuum once the attachment is inserted that helps keep the toy in place.

With the vac-u-lock ergonomic handle, you’ll want to connect the dildo to the handle prior to inserting the dildo into yourself. I found it easiest to insert the dildo into myself by holding the shaft and guiding it in. If you’re unable to do the same, I recommend lubing the dildo thoroughly, lining it up as best as you can, and push in from the handle as close as your hands can get to the dildo itself. Once the dildo is inserted, you can then start moving the handle up and down, side to side, in a circle, or in whatever movement feels best to you. Personally, I liked rocking it up and down, as that was closest to the in and out of penetrative sex without putting too much strain on my wrists or arms.

When it comes time to remove the attachment from the dildo, I recommend giving it a little wiggle first, gently pulling as you wiggle. I don’t recommend trying to just pull the attachment straight out, as this can damage the toy. You’ll also want to make sure that you don’t leave the dildo attached to the handle overnight or long enough for the lubricant to dry, as that will make it harder to remove the dildo. After removing the attachment from the toy, you’ll need to wash both the toy and the handle. The handle can be washed with regular soap & water. SilcArts does advise that you should not use any chemical cleaners on the handle!

My Experiences with SilcTouch Vac-u-Lock Ergonomic Handle

In my review of the suction cup version of this same handle, I shared that it changed my masturbation game. It enabled me to comfortably fuck myself during my solo play, since I was now able to able lie back or recline while dildo fucking myself. Both handles allow me to do this, no longer needing to lean forward slightly to be able to reach. I experience a noticeable difference in how my body feels the day after masturbation when using the handle vs hand thrusting a dildo into myself. The handles reduce strain, not just on my hands, but also my neck and back.

One of the things that I ended up disliking about the suction cup version of the handle was that it wasn’t great with heavy toys. They would droop a bit, which changed the angle of penetration for me depending on what position I was in. They’d droop even further if using a double sided suction cup, as the double sided suction acted as a hinge. Insertion is doable for me, but I can see how some might struggle to properly insert a toy that’s drooping like that. I experienced far less droop-age with the vac-u-lock attachment, thanks to the stability the firm plastic adds to the lower part of the shaft and base.

The size of the suction cup also wasn’t ideal for most of my fantasy dildos, though there were a few that I was able to use, like HumpToy Charm. The suction cup handle is great for mass-produced suction cup dildos, though! I found that it worked well for my Solina Toys dildos and Crassie’s Velvet Touch suction cup toys. It turns out that I do actually have more suction cup dildos than vac-u-lock dildos, which was news to me and something that I have every intention of changing in the future!

The biggest difference between the two that really made a world of difference for me was the stability of the vac-u-lock ergonomic handle. The vac-u-lock handle provided a level of stability that the suction cup handle simply could not. Toys could easily pop off the suction cup handle, but the vacuum created with the vac-u-lock pairing is strong enough that I did not experience any dildos popping off the handle. Matt, the owner of SilcArts, had given me the heads up about this when I was deciding which handle to order. I’m really glad that he did, so that I can in turn, give you the heads up about it as well.

As I was comparing the two types of handles, I found that I prefer the vac-u-lock handle over the suction cup handle. It was easiest for me to work with and provided the most stability. It’s not that the suction cup handle isn’t good, it’s just that most of my suction cup toys have suction cups that are either slightly or much too large. As I move forward with ordering toys, I’m going to opt for vac-u-lock holes whenever they’re available so that I can use them with my ergonomic handle.

During solo play, I tried the handle in a few different ways based on the drawings SilcArts has on the product listing page. The drawings demonstrate how to use the handle standing from the front and from the back, and lying down. All three of those position options were very easy and comfortable for me and my body. I also tried using it while on my knees, as if I was riding or in a cowgirl position, and that just didn’t work for me due to the length of my thighs. The handle rested against the bed or couch, which added some friction that made movements a bit more difficult for me.

Pros:

  • vac-u-lock handle provided great stability
  • comfortable to hold
  • durable, firm plastic
  • easy to clean
  • available in 3 colors and 3 sizes
  • made in the US
  • discounts available to educators, organizations, influencers and adult industry workers (contact for more info)

Cons:

  • requires that toys have a vac-u-lock hole to use
  • most companies offering vac-u-lock options are unable to offer it on small size and/or soft firmness toys

My Final Word on SilcArts Vac-u-Lock Ergonomic Handle

As someone who can get by with or without accessibility considerations, I’m still really glad that I got the Vac-u-Lock Ergonomic Handle from SilcArts. It’s made thrusting dildos into myself during masturbation far more comfortable and easier, which has allowed me to enjoy dildos that are designed for thrusting.

If you’re someone plus size, if you’re disabled, if you just want to make masturbation easier and more comfortable, I recommend checking out the Ergonomic Handles from SilcArts! They’re well designed, well made, and have really improved my solo play in a significant way!

Indie Toy Companies That Offer Vac-U-Lock Holes

I’ve done my best to curate a list of companies that offer option vac-u-lock holes, but you should know that not every size toy can accommodate the attachment hole. This is not a comprehensive list, as I don’t know every single indie toy company out there. If I’ve missed a company on this list, please feel free to let me know and I’ll get them added!
