For years, Cassie and I have each had toys from Pleasure Forge on our “want to buy” lists, but each time we went to buy during a drop, the models in sizes and firmnesses we wanted were sold out or unavailable. That is, until now! I finally found a Merfolk fantasy dildo in Pleasure Forge’s Black Friday inventory drop that fit my size and firmness needs, in a coloration that I liked. I’m so happy to finally get to share my experiences with ya’ll!
Normally, I don’t really worry too much about the colorations matching the theme of toys I buy. Especially when I’m shopping an inventory drop, I’m often just happy to get a size and firmness in a color that makes me happy. However, when I saw this Merfolk in PF’s drop, I was so excited for the colors matching the theme. The ripples of silicone remind me of the ocean, and the blue & green colors also match my first built from scratch Magic: The Gathering Commander deck (which is also merfolks)!
Get to Know Pleasure Forge’s Merfolk Dildo
Pleasure Forge’s Merfolk dildo is available in 5 different sizes, ranging from XS up to XL. The model has a slight curve and is uncircumcised, with a soft ridge that runs all the way around the shaft below the exposed tip. Below that, you’ll find a coronal ridge and two more ridges that run all the way around the shaft. There is a vertical vein running the length of the underside, and 4 sets of gills on either side of the shaft. The base also has raised texture that can be fully inserted vaginally. The dildo does fit into a strap-on harness, though the base is not very flared so I can’t recommend it for anal play.
Merfolk, like all of Pleasure Forge’s models, is only available during inventory drops. PF does not offer any MTOs or customs currently, and their inventory drops are a bit more rare than they once were. Pieces do tend to sell quickly, so I recommend making a calendar reminder in your phone whenever they announce a drop date. Sometimes they also offer pre-shop, which is an hour before drop time and gives customers the chance to look at what exactly is in the inventory, however they don’t always do this!
I feel pretty lucky to have the perfect trifecta in place for my Merfolk dildo from PF. It’s a size I wanted, in a firmness I like, and I really love the color. Mine is a size small, medium firmness (shore 00-50), so it’s got a decent amount of squish. Here are the dimensions of the size small:

How to Care for Merfolk Dildo by Pleasure Forge
According to Pleasure Forge, you should do a quick inspection of the toy in the plastic bag upon arrival, and contact them immediately if you find any flaws. If you find any major flaws that were not listed/shown in the product description and you’re hoping for a refund, do not open the bag and contact them within 7 days of delivery.
Platinum cure silicone is really easy to care for, though it does have a bit of a sticky or tacky feeling to the surface. Because of that, it’s really important to at least rinse your toy, if not fully wash it, before use. During use, only use a water based lubricant. Do not use silicone lube! After you’ve finished using the toy, give it a good wash with an unscented, antibacterial soap, running your fingernail gently around each textured area. Allow the fantasy dildo to fully dry before you store it.
If you need to do a deeper clean, PF recommends soaking in a 1% bleach solution, boiling in water for a few minutes, or using a rubbing alcohol and wash with soap afterwards. Don’t boil bleach!
It is safe to store dildos from PF with other platinum cure silicone sex toys. However, if you’re unsure of the material of other toys, store them separately. Silicone toys can be stored in cotton or satin bags or on smooth surfaces. Avoid storing your fantasy sex toys from Pleasure Forge on any abrasive or textured surfaces to avoid permanent indents on your toy.
My Experiences with Pleasure Forge & Merfolk Dildo
As I mentioned earlier, both my wife and I have wanted a couple different models from Pleasure Forge for a few years. We’ve tried to shop their drops before, but we were never successful. Right size, wrong firmness, or wrong size, right firmness, or colors that didn’t speak to us. It happens when shopping drops! During Pleasure Forge’s BFCM sale at the end of 2025, they had a model I’ve been eyeing in a color that I loved: a size small Merfolk in 00-50 firmness.
I’ve had my eyes on Merfolk for a while, as it’s got a gentle looking horizontal texture that I hoped wouldn’t overstimulate me. The semi-humanoid design even has an uncut penis. I love uncircumcised cocks and dildos, and this model is unlike any other uncut models I have in my collection. It’s shorter than Aura and El Rey, and closest to the dimensions of Dakota.
The pour on Merfolk is just gorgeous too. Something about the way the blues and greens work together with the white spots really reminds me of the ocean. Every time I look at the dildo, I just love the pour even more. I didn’t even realize that this particular pour glows in the dark for weeks after it arrived! I’d only used it with the lights on or during the day, and I don’t remember the listing specifying that it was a GITD coloration.
Now that I’ve enjoyed Merfolk by Pleasure Forge for a while, I can confirm that the gentle raised “gills” of the design are not overstimulating, even during fast or hard penetration. In looking at the 3D model image on PF’s site again, I think I expected the texture to be a bit more raised than what it actually is, at least on the size small model. The horizontal textures are stimulating, but the 00-50 firmness really gives a nice squish that makes them less intense than I expected. I think that people who can handle realistic dildo textures would handle Merfolk’s textures with ease.
The length of the dildo is what makes me pause my excitement. It’s a fairly short dildo, and as someone with short arms and a big belly, it wasn’t always the easiest to use solo while thrusting. It’s much easier when I’ve got my back propped against a pillow, but the length definitely presents a problem for me when I’m on my back laying flat. I am pleased to share that the LustArts medium size double-sided suction cup does fit on the base of the dildo, which made it possible for me to use the suction cup ergonomic handle with it!
When Cassie would use the dildo on me, the length and firmness also gave us a little bit of trouble. If my body was clamping down while she was thrusting the dildo, it would often flop out on the outward strokes. This happened both during oral sex and during strap-on sex. It ended up being a lot easier for her to keep her hand flat on the base of the dildo to keep it inserted inside me while giving me oral sex. Merfolk has ended up being a dildo that I tend to use solo instead of with Cassie, just because it pops out a bit too easily during partnered use.
During solo use, the dildo doesn’t really “lock in” the way a dildo with a knot or a large enough swell locks in. Because of my thick thighs, I was still able to keep the dildo inserted hands-free during masturbation, as long as my legs were pressed together in the right position. My thighs did not help during side/spoon masturbation nor doggystyle, though. Despite the limited positioning that works for hands-free use of Merfolk, I still really enjoy using it in that one way. On my back, thighs together, while holding a vibrator against my clitoris? Perfection!
Despite it’s short length, the fantasy dildo was a pleasure to use. The size small is a realistic human size, which is nice for those who don’t want big or huge fantasy dildos. I appreciate the texture around the head, as it feels amazing as it rubs against my g-spot. Having a dildo that I can take beyond the hilt is also an experience I never thought I’d experience, but Merfolk’s short length with minimal texture and lack of a truly flared base means that I can get it all the way in.

My Final Words on Merfolk Fantasy Dildo by Pleasure Forge
Even though the length of the size small Merfolk dildo by Pleasure Forge wasn’t always ideal for me and my anatomy, I really like this dildo overall. The texture isn’t as intimidating as I thought it would be, instead providing delicious ripples of pleasure during thrusts in and out. I really like the uncut design as well, which also makes the texture a bit more gentle. I think if I were to re-buy Merfolk, I’d try to find the same firmness but a size medium instead of small.
I’d recommend Pleasure Forge’s Merfolk to those who like realistic dildo textures but want something just a tiny bit different, to those who like humanoid fantasy dildos, and to those who love uncut dildos. The gentle texture may not be satisfying to those who prefer heavily textured dildos, but Pleasure Forge has plenty of other options for those folks!
