I am kicking myself for not opening the box of Osuga’s Puzzle grinder sooner. I didn’t plan for it to be my second review of a product from the brand, but when I tried the vibrating sex grinder, I couldn’t resist. Hell, I couldn’t even stop myself from posting about it on BlueSky immediately.

If you’re new here, the first thing I need you to know about me is that I love grinders. Everything else is sort of secondary right now, especially if you’re just here for the reviews. When originally chatting with the lovely folks over at Osuga about collaborating, I picked out Puzzle because I had a hunch I’d like it and I know that my readers love grinders too (or, at least, are curious about them and know I’m an expert). Fast forward a couple months, and the first time I powered it on, I knew I’d love it.
Get to Know Osuga’s Puzzle Grinding Vibrator
Get ready to hump and grind until you can’t anymore! Osuga has blown my mind with their first and only sex grinder, Puzzle. Puzzle has 3 motors and can be used in a variety of ways, both solo or with a partner. The creamy white vibrating grinder has a flexible arm that can bend and twist to fit your anatomy or the anatomy of your partner, with Osuga marketing the device with “Rub it. Sit on it. Wrap it. Ride it.” and I kid you not, they mean it. The device has 6 intensities levels plus 8 vibration modes and includes a wireless remote for easier use. It’s rechargeable and has an IPX7 rating, meaning it can be submerged in ~3ft of water for about 30 minutes.
Oh, and the vibrating grind pad is also made with body safe silicone! The design features gentle ridges that are barely raised. You may feel them during use, depending on your level of sensitivity. Included in the box are a remote control, storage bag, charging cord, safety information and user manual.

With a weight of 207.8 g/ 7.33oz, Puzzle is potentially the smallest vibrating grinder that I’ve tried so far. When fully coiled up, the vibrator is about 16.5cm / 6.49″, though the flexible arm itself is about 13.7cm / 5.4″ long. The measurements can be a bit confusing, so I’ve snagged the image from Osuga’s website that properly display them:

How to Use the Puzzle Grinder by Osuga
As a grinder, Puzzle was designed for external stimulation. Once you’ve fully charged the device, it’s time to have some fun! But, perhaps you’re looking at the device and wondering “how do I use Puzzle?” Have no fear, for I am here!
The power button for the device is fairly discreet. It’s located just above the magnetic charging port on the top side of the vibrator. Press and hold the power switch for ~1.5 seconds to turn the sex grinder on. Once powered on, the device will not immediately start to vibrate. You can either press the same button again to start the vibrations or you can use the remote control to power on one or both of the stimulators. Press the button on the device itself to start cycling through the intensities & modes, or press either button on the remote to do the same. The remote will allow you to better select the settings for you pleasure, so I recommend using it! To turn the vibrator off, simply press & hold the power button again.
On the remote, the button with a circle on it controls the tail (the round disk). The button with the squiggly lines controls the head (large end of the vibrator).

Now comes the fun part. Using a water-based lubricant, apply lube to any areas on the device you may want to hump and grind against. With the Puzzle vibrator, this toy has serious potential for pleasure, regardless how you use it. Osuga suggests 3 different parts of the device for use:
- the tail: the round disk at the end of the flexible arm. it can be used against the clitoris, inserted vaginally, or against the testicles or perineum. to use against the testicles, wrap the flexible arm around one side of the penis and twist the tail so it can sit with one of the broad sides against the testicles, which will allow the head to stimulate a clitoris or perineum during PIV or PIA sex in which the penis having person is being ridden.
- the head: the raised mound on the large end of the device. it can be used against the vaginal opening, perineum, or anus. users can sit on it cowgirl or reverse cowgirl, or as described above with a partner.
- the edge: on the large end of the device, the edges are rounded so they can be used against the clitoris for pinpoint stimulation.
The point is: you have options when using the Puzzle grinder from Osuga. The vibrating grind pad can be used solo or with a partner in several different ways. Experiment! Have fun! If one position doesn’t work for you, try another. The flexibility of the arm really just opens all sorts of doors to pleasure when using Puzzle.

Care Instructions for Osuga Puzzle
Before you use Puzzle, you need to fully charge the device! Using the included charging cord, plug it into a USB port or charging block and attach the magnetic end to the device. Charging should take about 2 hours. Each runtime is estimated to last ~60-70 minutes.
Cleaning Osuga Puzzle humpable vibrator is super easy, thanks to the silicone and IPX7 rating. Use an unscented, antibacterial soap to clean the device with warm water. The ridges that line the head aren’t deep enough that you’ll need a toothbrush to clean them. Allow it to fully dry before storing it in the included storage pouch.
As with any grinder, lubricant makes a world of difference. Since the Puzzle grinder is silicone, you should only use a water-based lubricant or a natural oil-based lube. Avoid using silicone or silicone hybrid lubricants with silicone sex toys.

If you’re like me, you’re pretty likely to get lube on the remote control. The manual doesn’t specify is the remote is also waterproof, so I recommend erring on the side of caution. Instead of washing it with water & soap, grab a disinfecting wipe or a paper towel lightly sprayed with a mild cleaning product, and gently wipe down the remote. The remote control uses a flat battery, a CR2032, which can easily be swapped out as needed.
My Experiences with Osuga Puzzle
From the moment I powered on the Puzzle grinder from Osuga, I knew that we were a match made in heaven. Sure, I already have a bias strongly in favor of grinders, but I want to believe that I’d love this vibrator even if I didn’t already have that bias. The motors are strong without getting too buzzy. The flexibility means it can fit with more anatomies. It can be used for solo play or partner play. I mean, seriously. Of course I was destined to fall in love with this particular sex grinder!
What excited me most about the Puzzle grinder was primarily my experience with other humpable vibrators and using vibrators with non-motorized grinders. As someone who tries to decentralize penetration in my sex life, grinders are one of my favorite sex toys because they can work for so many different anatomies and don’t require penetration for stimulation. The shape of Puzzle intrigued me and I couldn’t resist asking for one to review.

The first time I tried Puzzle, I tried it while lying on my back in bed. I skipped the remote for the first run, just to see how it would go. Using the tail against my clitoris, the head was pressed against my vaginal opening as my thighs held it in place. Honestly, my thighs didn’t do the best job with allowing me to use this device hands-free in this position. Despite that, I was able to quickly achieve orgasm from the combination of vibration. Using the edge of the tail gave me the pinpoint stimulation that I prefer, while the head provided more stimulation to my opening than I thought I’d want or need. For a toy that doesn’t go inside of me, I wasn’t expecting much from the head.
But wow, did the head deliver!! After that first experience, I found myself repeatedly reaching for Puzzle to use during masturbation, even when I was “done” testing it. Using Puzzle really helped my body prepare for penetration, especially when using the head against my opening. I found myself loving my warm-up just as much as the main event. It didn’t matter how I used it, Puzzle just kept working for me. Over and over and over again.
When it comes to how I prefer to use Puzzle, I really loved having the tail’s edge against my clitoris while the head was pressed against my opening. I didn’t love using the edge of the head against my clitoris while the tail was against my opening quite as much, though it was a bit easier to hold that way.

As a plus size person, straddling or sitting on the device was much easier with a pillow beneath it (or my wife’s thigh). I didn’t bring my Liberator with me in my overseas move, but a toy mount like that would also make using the vibrator easier when straddling the device. I was also able to use Puzzle with it just sitting on my office chair, though my thighs helped keep the tail in place against my clitoris. There’s nothing quite like using a grinder while I’m grinding out administrative work!
I wasn’t able to use Puzzle with a penis having partner during PIV sex for one main reason: my wife doesn’t have testicles anymore. The flexible arm does reach her perineum, but without anything to really hold it in place there, it seemed to want to slightly curl up, so it would need to be held in place against her anatomy. With my big ass and big belly and short arms, it just wasn’t feasible or comfortable to really do this. Now that I’ve started introducing sex toys with my boy toy, I do plan to bring Puzzle with me the next time I see him so I can further test the device. I plan to update this review once I’ve had the chance to test it with him!

My Final Thoughts on Osuga Puzzle Vibrating Grinder
Putting my bias for grinders aside, I’m really impressed with Osuga’s Puzzle. The silicone & packaging feel luxurious, it’s the most flexible motorized grinder I’ve ever tried, and the motors are powerful without feeling very buzzy. There’s just something about this vibrator that I can’t get enough of! I love toys that can be used in a variety of ways, and Puzzle is absolutely a sex toy that fits that description. Frankly, I felt challenged to come up with that “Cons” list above, because the device is just that good.
