My dear friends, fans and readers, it’s time for a somewhat complicated review. It’s not that the toy itself is complicated, it’s more my own feelings surrounding the toy are complicated. Orion/You2Toys not-so-recently released their answer to the fantasy dildo craze that’s sweeping through the sex toy industry: the Beasty Cocks line, and within that line comes our star of today’s review, Octopus Prime.
I appreciate the punny name, but that is really just the tip of the iceberg that is my feelings about the dildo and Beasty Cocks as a whole. Get ready, because I have a lot to say.
Meet Octopus Prime Tentacle Dildo
Octopus Prime, from Orion/You2Toys’ Beasty Cock line, features a design that I’ve seen numerous times: a tentacle wrapped around a tentacle. It has a tapered design for easy insertion, though the girth increases quickly. This is a heavily textured toy, in that the suckers and swirling tentacle are both very raised textures from the base tentacle. Both the base tentacle and the one wrapped around it are heavily suckered, though one side of the dildo is slightly less textured than the other. The dildo is a non-symmetrical design, which I think adds to the intensity of the texture. The tentacle dildo is available in one color, a dark, shimmery purple-ish blue.
Made with “liquid silicone”, Octopus Prime is really soft and squishy, though neither the manufacturer nor Peepshow Toys identify the firmness level. After squishing some other toys in my collection, I’m guessing that this is somewhere between 00-30 and 00-50. I don’t have any 00-40 toys to compare, but it’s not as soft as 00-30 nor as firm as 00-50. The dimensions of Octopus Prime are:
- Total length: 7.95″ / 20.2cm
- Useable length: 6.69″ / 17cm
- Maximum diameter: 1.8″ / 4.6cm
- Weight: 11.2oz / 318g
- O-ring size: 2″ / 5.08cm
- Suction cup diameter: 3.66″ / 9.3cm

Care Instructions Beasty Cocks’ Octopus Prime
Since Octopus Prime does not have a motor in it, the fantasy dildo is pretty easy to clean, though I do recommend a soft bristled toothbrush to help get in all the nooks and crannies of the design. Using warm water and an unscented, antibacterial soap, thoroughly lather up the dildo before rinsing. Allow the dildo to dry fully before storing it. I’d suggest a storage bag, as it’s unclear to me whether Orion’s liquid silicone will react with platinum cure silicone, so better to be safe than sorry. As always, do not store platinum cure silicone toys with toys made from other materials, such as TPE, jelly, etc, as this can cause permanent damage.
If you need to do a deeper clean of Octopus Prime, you do have a few options:
- soak in a 10% bleach/90% water mixture for up to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly
- boil in water for a few minutes, making sure the toy is not resting against the sides or bottom of the pot
- run through the dishwasher on sanitized setting without detergent
Orion recommends only using water-based lubricant with the Beasty Cocks dildos. Do not use silicone or oil based lubricant with this dildo, including hybrid lubes.

Here is Where Things Get Complicated
Honestly, Octopus Prime by Orion/You2Toys sat in the box staring at me for a while. Several months, actually.
It wasn’t that I was uninterested in the dildo. In fact, when Peepshow Toys asked me if I’d like to try any of the toys from the Beasty Cocks line, I said yes and specifically asked for this one. It also wasn’t that I’d recently reviewed a toy from Orion and wanted more time before reviewing another toy from them. I have a lot of conflicting feelings about fantasy dildos from mainstream companies, and I just found myself prioritizing any other toy to review first.
One of my biggest concerns is materials and manufacturing. “Liquid silicone” is not synonymous with platinum cure silicone, and all silicone used for making sex toys starts as liquid, so the term is a bit nebulous to me. “Liquid silicone” doesn’t actually mean anything in terms of manufacturing, it’s just a marketing term. Liquid Silicone Rubber, or LSR, does mean something, and perhaps that’s what Orion means and is using to manufacture, but I can’t confirm that. And, there are types of silicone that fall under the “liquid silicone” umbrella that aren’t hypoallergenic and/or body safe.
I do know, however, that the Peepshow Toys team is pretty picky about the toys they stock. They have a few people who test toys prior to stocking them to ensure the toys meet their quality standards. PST also only stocks products made with body-safe materials, so I’m making assumption that they have thoroughly tested the Beasty Cocks line to ensure that fantasy dildos meet their standards.

XR-Brands, the company that makes the Creature Cocks line, has two identical versions of Octopus Prime in their catalog, one vibrating and one non-vibrating. I know from attending industry trade shows and speaking with reps from XR-Brands that they offer white-label services. If you don’t know what white-label services are, it’s when one company will make a product/service for a different company as if it were their own. It’s why we see identical dildos between brands such as Creature Cocks and Beasty Cocks, as well as non-brands operating stores on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress, Temu, etc. I can’t confirm that XR-Brands is the white-label sex toy manufacturer behind the non-brands, or if it’s a different manufacturer that’s then selling to XR-Brands and all the others. My knowledge into the industry doesn’t go that deep, unfortunately.
Something I can tell you, though perhaps I shouldn’t, is that the manufacturing cost for companies operating at the same size as Creature Cocks, is crazy low. I’ve seen sales sheets at B2B pleasure product trade shows that include the cost of manufacturing, maybe not from XR-Brands but from other brands that are similarly sized. I’ve worked for a global skincare brand that makes silicone skincare tech and I was very aware of how much it cost per unit to manufacture the tech. I’m uncomfortable sharing that exact price point, so I am going to ask you to trust me that the cost to make a dildo like Octopus Prime is significantly lower than what they sell for.
Mainstream companies, like Orion/You2Toys, XR-Brands, Blush, and CalExotics, are able to manufacture sex toys and fantasy dildos at a much lower cost than indie toy companies. Which means, at least in theory, customers can buy sex toys at a lower price than the price points of indie toy companies, like Paladin Pleasure Sculptors, Twilight Meadow Creations, Fantasy Grove, or Wandering Bard Toys. Octopus Prime, for example, goes for $45.99 currently on Peepshow Toys, full price not including shipping. Depending on the indie toy company, similarly “Medium” sized toys can go for ~$65-100, full price not including shipping.

My Experiences with Octopus Prime Fantasy Tentacle Dildo
Even with the softness of the silicone, the texture of Octopus Prime is intense. For me, heavily textured toys made with softer silicones are usually more comfortable to take than firmer silicone toys. When I felt just how squishy this fantasy dildo is, I thought I was ready to just jump right in by having Cassie use it on me. In retrospect, I should have worked my way up to that point instead.
The first time I tried the fantasy dildo, my wife used it while going down on me. This is usually a favorite pleasure combination of mine, a dildo filling me up while receiving oral sex. The tapered and pointed tip with the texture was just far too much for me to handle, especially with her thrusting the dildo into me. I asked her to pause and slow down, and that did help… until she started twisting the dildo inside of me. I was not a fan. I think I was just not wet enough, as it felt like it was pulling my insides with it as she tried to rotate it while the tentacle dildo was inserted vaginally.
I ended up having to tap out and switch to a more comfortable dildo. I am fairly sensitive, and thrusting with deep textures like this is very overstimulating (not in a fun way, for me at least).
Which doesn’t stop me from trying!

It turned out that this fantasy tentacle dildo was far more comfortable and pleasurable for me to take when I was using it on my own. Thrusting with it was still a lot, but I was able to go much slower which in turn made it less overstimulating. The suction cup base is a bit too large for me to use with my ergonomic handle, unfortunately. Because I wasn’t able to bottom out with the dildo, the length helped make it easier for me to thrust into myself, as well as try twisting within myself.
Even with plenty of lube, I just couldn’t get into the sensation of twisting the dildo. I think part of that is because of my positioning, as I end up lifting my shoulders, neck and head just to reach past my belly well enough to hold the dildo. It’s not a comfortable position for me, period. Then adding in the different motion on my wrists, and it just didn’t add up to anything positively noteworthy.
As with many highly textured fantasy dildos I’ve reviewed, I found Octopus Prime was best for me and my pleasure when I inserted it and let it just sit inside of me while using a vibrator on my clitoris. I do often rock my hips up and down or back and forth, which does give the dildo some minor movement, and I didn’t find the motion as overstimulating. The texture was quite pleasurable with the shorter stroke movement.

Though I did enjoy cock warming with Octopus Prime, it didn’t put quite enough pressure on my g-spot for it to give me particularly strong orgasms. Having clitoral orgasms with the tentacle inserted was a fantastic feeling, and they felt so much stronger with the dildo inserted. The suckers on the tentacle were really noticeable to me when this happened, in a really enjoyable way. As my body clamped down on them then relaxed, I could feel the tiniest little pops of suction releasing. Though I’ve used lots of tentacles in my day, I’ve not experienced so many little pops in succession. I really, really enjoyed it.
Because I am still new to my anal explorations, I did not try Octopus Prime anally. The girth is too big and the texture is too dramatic. If I end up trying this dildo anally, I’ll update this review accordingly.
My favorite game to play with suction cup dildos, like Beasty Cocks Octopus Prime, is testing the strength of the suction cup. I think the heaviest object I tested was my 2017 13″ MacBook Air, which weighs 2.96 pounds / 1.35 kg, according to Apple’s website. It lifted up without breaking the seal for several moments before I gently put my laptop down, not wanting to push my luck.
I did offer to let Cassie try Octopus Prime, but she politely declined due to the squish level. As a trans woman who has not had gender confirmation surgery, she is an anal only user and prefers firmer silicone.
Though I did not try using the dildo on Cassie, I did test it out in a harness. Sadly, much like the base of my beloved Celia, the asymmetrical shape of the shaft at the base was not ideal to use with an o-ring harness. It can be done, but the o-ring doesn’t sit fully flesh with the base, which I found kind of annoying while strap-on topping with Celia.

Pros:
- strong suction cup base
- squishy silicone has minimal drag with a velvety smooth, matte finish
- affordably priced for a fantasy dildo of this size
- tapered design for easy insertion
- anal safe
- harness compatible
Cons:
- texture may be too intense for some
- “liquid silicone” may not not platinum cure silicone, and unsure if LSR or other type of silicone
- o-ring doesn’t sit properly due to asymmetrical shape of base
- deep texture requires extra attention while cleaning

My Final Thoughts on the Beauty Cocks Octopus Prime Dildo
Octopus Prime from Orion/You2Toys’ Beasty Cocks line took me some getting used to and warming up with before comfortably enjoying thrusting. The fantasy dildo is highly textured, though the softness of the silicone slightly lessens the intensity. I did really enjoy cock warming with the dildo, though, especially with the sensations I felt from the suckers of the tentacles. Overall, I’m happy with the dildo.
This is a heavily textured toy and not one that I’d recommend for newcomers to fantasy sex toys. I’d recommend this dildo for users who are more accustomed to dramatic textures.
