I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think I’ve found a worthy contender to my all time favorite g-spot vibrator, the BMS Pillow Talk Sassy. I know, I’m as shocked as you are, but here we are. It’s time to introduce you to the Maia’s Kora, a silicone g-spot vibrator that is ready to blow your socks off!
The Basics of Kora
Meet the new g-spot vibrator from Maia: Kora. A hot pink vibrator that measures in at 7″ in total length with a 6.1″ insertable length. It’s 0.88″ wide until you get to the bulbous head, which measures in at 1.38″. Boasting 10 vibration functions, Kora has 5 steady speeds and 5 patterns, all packed inside of an incredibly lightweight vibrator.
Kora is a fully waterproof submersible vibrator, making it safe to use in the shower or bathtub. It’s rechargeable and made with super smooth body-safe silicone. Best of all, this vibrator is very affordably priced at only $38 on Peepshow Toys’ website.
Technically, Kora is an anal friendly vibrator, making it good for prostate stimulation as well as g-spot stimulation. Lower on the shaft is a raised ring that makes this anal safe. Fun fact: Kora is the same vibrator as Maia’s Preston model. The only differences between the two are color and name. Preston is black instead of hot pink.
Pros:
- 5 steady vibration speeds & 5 vibration patterns
- Super smooth silicone with virtually no drag
- Waterproof submersible
- Rechargeable
- Bulbous curved head is perfect for g-spot or p-spot stimulation
- Very lightweight
- Firm shaft is unyielding for better pressure on g-spot or p-spot
Cons:
- A bit more buzzy than Pillow Talk Sassy
- Short run time of ~45 minutes per charge
- No storage pouch included, like some other toys by Maia
Care & Charging Instructions for Kora
The Maia Kora will arrive with a partial charge, however it’s best practice to fully charge the vibrator before using it. Charging should take approximately 90 minutes, with each charge lasting about 45 minutes. Plug the included charging cable into a USB port or charging brick before attaching the magnetic end to the base of Kora. The light on the base will flash while charging, before going steady once fully charged.
After the vibrator is fully charged, it’s ready for you to enjoy! Grab your favorite water-based lubricant and have fun 😉 After you’re done, be sure give your vibrator a thorough washing with warm water and unscented, non-silicone soap. Allow it to fully dry before storing.
How to Use Maia Kora Vibrator
The power button for the Maia Kora g-spot vibrator is located on the base of the handle. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds to power on the device. The light will glow solid to indicate that it is powered on. Press & release the same button again to turn the vibrations on and to cycle through the 10 vibration settings. Once you’re done, press & hold the same button for 3 seconds to power off.
Since Kora is fully waterproof submersible, you can use this in the shower or bathtub, or wherever your deviant little mind wants! While there is virtually no drag on the body-safe silicone, I do recommend using lubricant for a more comfortable experience!
As you’re inserting the Kora, make sure the bulb is angled toward the front of your body. Every anatomy is a bit different, but the g-spot is around 2-3″ inside the vagina. If you feel like you may have to pee, that’s how you know you’re in the right spot.
Designed as a g-spot or p-spot vibrator, Kora doesn’t have to just be used internally. The shaft makes for a nice handle if you’d like to use it externally on nipples or clitoris or other erogenous zones.
My Experiences with Maia Kora
Much like some of the other vibrators I’ve reviewed lately, Maia Kora sat in the box, ready & waiting for my review for a while. I received it prior to my big move, and even before testing it, I still opted to bring it with us so I could give it the review it deserves. And let me tell ya… I’m really glad I brought it.
It’s that good.
The first few times I tried Kora, I gave it to my wife to use on me during play time. I couldn’t stop orgasming! Between my wife’s mouth and this g-spot vibrator, my body was shaking and trembling as I had orgasm after orgasm. All while on the lowest speed setting! I couldn’t believe it. I mean, yea, g-spot stimulation is great and I’m a huge fan but I guess I just never expect to orgasm like that every single time I use a vibrator!
Because it wasn’t just during partner play that I had those blissful, euphoric orgasms. It was every single damn time, solo play or partner play. My body couldn’t stop cumming, not until the vibrator was powered off and pulled out of me. That curved, bulbous head just really hits the spot. Partnered with clitoral stimulation? I even forgot how to speak for a few minutes.
As I mentioned earlier, Kora by Maia is giving my all time favorite g-spot vibrator a run for its money. Kora is fully waterproof submersible, while the Sassy is not. Kora is also almost half the price of Sassy ($38 vs $69, both at full price on PeepshowToys.com). Throw in that Kora is anal safe, and it’s a really tough decision between the two vibrators.
One of the other big differences between Kora and Sassy is the shafts. Sassy has a semi-flexible shaft, while Kora has a very firm shaft. For me, this isn’t a big deal. In comparing the two, the shaft’s flexibility didn’t make as much of a difference as the girth. I tend to prefer a bit of girth, though, so in that regard, I prefer BMS Pillow Talk Sassy. But if you’re looking for more of classic shape with a thinner shaft, Maia Kora is the way to go.
The biggest downside of not just Kora, but Sassy too, is that if a partner is using it on me and it turns so the bulb is not hitting my g-spot, I find it really uncomfortable for thrusting action or even an up & down movement. I really noticed how uncomfortable this can get one night during an exciting night of play with my wife. If you’re worried about the vibe being turned and it’s uncomfortable, ask your partner to make sure the power button is on top of the magnetic charging connection.
Final Thoughts on Maia Kora G-Spot Vibe
This is a damn good vibrator. Maia did an excellent job with the Kora. Sure, it may be a bit more buzzy than rumbly, like Pillow Talk Sassy, but both seem equally powerful with two different types of vibrations. The Kora by Maia is also significantly less expensive, lighter weight, and is waterproof submersible.
If you’re comparing the two, you should also consider the operations between the two. Kora has 5 steady speeds and 5 vibration patterns, while Sassy has incremental speed control that allows users to press & hold until they get to the desired intensity. Both seem to have similar lowest & highest intensities, but control function matters.
I really like Kora. I think it’s a well made vibrator and I really, really enjoy using it. I’ve only tried it vaginally & externally, as anal isn’t really my thing, but I really enjoyed the intense g-spot orgasms I was able to achieve with it. I would absolutely recommend Maia Kora! It’s beginner friendly and those who are more experienced may love it just the same!
