It’s time to meet your Destiny… and by Destiny, I’m of course talking about the Maia Destiny. A sleek, sexy, bold red vibrator with 3 motors that are sure to make you moan.
Where do I even begin with this beauty?

Destiny At A Glance
Packed with 3 independently controlled motors, the Maia Destiny is a suction vibrator that does so much at once: it’s got a vibrating pinpoint tongue, a strong suction mouth, and all-over vibration to make your toes curl. There are 15 different functions for each of the three motors, meaning you have 15 x 15 x 15 possibilities ahead to find your favorite combination (or, in my case, 15 button pushes to get back to the setting I was enjoying but accidentally pushed the wrong button and now I have to cycle through them all). Of the 15 modes per motor, there are 3 intensities plus 12 patterns.
Destiny is waterproof submersible, rechargeable and comes with a 1 year warranty, DC charging cable, and satin storage bag. It’s 7.5″ long and 1.5″ wide, and made with body-safe silicone with an ABS plastic accent around the neck. There are 3 buttons to control the motors, located on the handle below the neck. The charging port is less than an inch away from the bottom button.

One of the unique aspects of Destiny is that you can use either end since the vibrations travel the entire handle. If you’re not wanting suction or tongue action, just flip the vibrator around and use the base to deliver broad stimulation or the ridge on the tip of the handle for more pinpointed pleasure. For those who have an enlarged clitoris, the mouth of Destiny is pretty sizable, measuring in around 1″x1.5″, so it can accommodate a wide variety of anatomies.
Caring for Destiny
Maia Destiny arrives with a partial charge, and you’re supposed to let it fully charge before use. Simply plug the USB end into a USB port or charging block and the DC end of the charging cable into the device – the charging port is located just below the bottom button on the neck. While charging, the LED lights on the buttons will flash. Once the device is fully charged, the lights glow steady. You shouldn’t leave the vibrator on the charger longer than 3 hours, according to Maia.
Use a little bit of water-based lubricant around the mouth – this will give you the most comfort, especially when using the suction functions. After you’re done, wash with warm water and gentle, unscented soap. Even though Destiny wasn’t designed for insertion, you should also wash your vibrator before use!

How to Use Maia Destiny
Turning on the device is quite easy. Simply click any of the three buttons to power on the respective motor! No press & hold needed to turn on the vibrator, but you do need to press & hold to power off the device. The top button controls the tongue, the middle button controls the suction, and the bottom button controls the vibrations. A quick press to any of the buttons will start to cycle through the modes. You will need to press & hold each button to turn off each motor.
If you’re using the tongue or suction, place the mouth of the vibrator around your clitoris or nipple. If you’re using the handle for vibrations only, use it on your erogenous zones and enjoy!

My Experiences with Maia Destiny
When I pulled Destiny out of the box, I was immediately impressed with the handle of the toy. The handle has a long neck with a wide bulb at the end that makes it easy and comfortable to hold. The handle reminds me vaguely of the Magic Wand handle, except much shorter and silicone.
As I turned the vibrator over in my hands, inspecting every inch of the vibrant red toy, I was ready to go. But, you know, the whole “oh, I have to fully charge this before I can use it” mental note kicked in and I grumbled as I plugged the DC cord into the vibrator and attached the USB end to my wall plug. A couple of hours later, Destiny was ready to go and I was too.
Vibrations? Loved ’em. Tongue action? Loved it. Suction? Uh oh, that’s way too much for me. This isn’t the first time that a suction toy was too much for me – the Fleur from Blush’s Delice collection was too much for me too. I couldn’t handle it! This isn’t air-pulsation, this is suction, and it’s a lot. The more suction toys I try, the more I realize that I prefer air-pulse to suction, despite the fact that I really enjoy having lovers suck on my clit.

Back to the tongue and the vibrations though. The strength was so good that I didn’t even make it past the lowest intensity on either motor, they were so good. I was able to achieve orgasm really quickly when using it on its own. When I tried using it with a dildo inserted, as long as I wasn’t pumping the dildo in & out, the tongue on Maia Destiny was enough to have me cumming even faster! However, if I pumped a dildo in & out, it was difficult to keep Destiny in place. Boo!
My favorite way to use Maia Destiny was after edging myself along with a dildo inserted and a bullet vibe going on low on my clit. Once I was at peak arousal, I swapped the bullet vibe for the tongue & vibration on Destiny and it was really close to the feeling of receiving oral sex (closer without the vibration, but I preferred it on).
When I tried using the opposite end to masturbate with, I just found myself fairly unimpressed. I like the handle as the handle, not as another stimulation point. That is likely because I prefer pinpoint stimulation over broad stimulation, and the end of the handle is rounded for a wider contact point. I also tried using the ridge on that rounded contact point, but it just wasn’t enough for me. The vibrations didn’t feel quite as strong and I ultimately flipped it back to using the intended side.

Now, I know I just said I didn’t make it past the lowest intensity on any of the motors, but I also have to throw a little bit of shade at Maia for this one. 15 functions per motor and only 3 are steady intensities? Does anyone actually use that many functions?! I’d rather more incremental speeds/intensities and fewer patterns/modes. I’d question if it was just me, but a majority of the people I talk sex toys with also prefer steady speeds over patterns.
Even though Maia says that Destiny is waterproof submersible, I’m a little suspicious since Peepshow Toys says it’s only water-resistant. There’s a suction hole on the back of the device, opposite the mouth, and I worry that it would suck water in if used while submerged. Beyond that, I don’t have a bathtub where I live in the Netherlands, so I can’t try (RIP my love of masturbating while in the bath).
Pros:
- 3 independently controlled motors
- Body-safe silicone is super smooth with minimal drag
- Handle is comfortable to hold
- 15 functions per motor
- Rechargeable
- Handle is comfortable to hold with a similar shape to the Original Magic Wand handle (but shorter)
- Quiet
Cons:
- Suction may be too intense for some (myself included)
- Only 3 steady intensities for each motor is a bit disappointing IMO
- Vibrations running through the handle may cause tingly fingers/”vibrator fingers” during or after use

The Final Verdict on Maia Destiny Vibrator
Unlike the last 3-in-1 vibrator that I got from Maia, Destiny is a fairly well designed toy. It’s technically not a 3-in-1 like Hunni, but it is a 3 motors in 1 toy that can be used two different ways (for some, at least). The motors seem really powerful and the toy feels really nice to touch and to use. Even though I wasn’t able to comfortably use the suction, I was still overall impressed with the Maia Destiny suction vibrator and I think it’s a great option for those who like suction and/or tongue action, and want a larger than average size mouth.
