Readers, it may come as a shock to you to learn that I’m an anal newb. It’s true. Prior to writing this blog, I could count the number of times I’ve had a butt plug in on one hand. All three of the butt plugs in the box are made with body-safe silicone and have “T” bases for safer usage. This is important because I’ve recently learned that unless the base of a butt plug is wider than the widest point of the insertable part, the plug can get sucked all the way inside of you. Something you don’t want to happen, trust me.

It’s Time To Learn About Anal
The first thing I did after opening the box set was to flip through the Complete Guide to Anal Play book, a 50 page book with information & education written by certified sex educators. It comes included in the kit, but it’s also available for separate purchase.
Even at first glance, I could already see just how much I didn’t know about anal. The book covers everything from communication about anal to anal pleasure for people with penises vs people with vaginas to anatomy. Once I sat down to read the book, I learned so much!! Heck, it even has a part about my other biggest passion outside of sex toys: skincare!
The book talks a lot about both the mental and physical preparations for anal pleasure. The part that I personally found most helpful on my anal adventure was learning how to properly clean out, or prep, my butt. Sure, a lot of anal sex happens in our house, but since I’ve not been on the receiving end, I’ve never done more than use a bidet to help make my butt feel a little bit more clean.
One thing the book makes repeated mention of is recommending against the use of numbing creams for anal. This is something that I’ve believed in for a while, because numbing creams take away the body’s ability to experience pain. Anal shouldn’t be painful, but you need your body to be aware if anal is painful so you can either add more lube or stop entirely due to tearing.
Another part of the book that I really appreciated reading was the decentralization of penetration as the only means of anal stimulation. My wife and I are both big believers that sex doesn’t always have to include penetration, and I’m really glad to see that in writing.
There’s a lot more in the book, and if you’re an anal newb like me, I definitely recommend taking the time to thoroughly read through the book. Packaging
b-Vibe’s Anal Training & Education Set comes in the perfect box for gift wrapping. It’s cute as heck and really sturdy. I felt like an influencer opening a PR box when I opened the box for the set. Opening it feels special! I love the box so much that I’ve started using it as a little storage box for small props and accessories when I’m packing my filming bag.
Inside the box, each of the plugs, the enema bulb, and the lube applicator are individually wrapped.
The Plugs
As you read above, each of the plugs included in b-Vibe’s Anal Training & Education Set is a different size and has a different feature. The silicone on these plugs is so nice and smooth, with very minimal drag and no seams. They feel so good just to hold!!
The smallest plug is the most basic of the three plugs in the box. No vibrations, no weights, just a beginner friendly plug with a curved “t” base and a flexible neck.

The medium plug is a rechargeable, vibrating plug. The motor is powerful, but also very quiet. I was surprised to not hear the vibrations going once it was inserted. The one flaw I found with this one is if you sit down while the plug is in, you may accidentally turn it off. Oops!

The largest plug is a weighted plug, which is designed to create a sensation of pressure while inserted. According to b-Vibe’s site, there are 2 weighted balls inside the plug, which you can hear if you shake it close to your ear, but otherwise do not make enough noise to worry about anyone hearing it.

Cleaning and Care
Only one of the three plugs has a motor, so you’ll only need to charge the medium plug. It has a magnetic charging point on the base, next to the power button. The light will flash while charging, then go steady once the plug is fully charged.
To clean each of the plugs, use a gentle, anti-bacterial soap or your preferred toy cleaner. You can also use a water/bleach mixture to clean all three.
Since these are silicone plugs, it is recommended to use water-based, hybrid or oil based lube. Packaging recommends staying away from silicone lube with these plugs.
Anal Training Time
I’ll admit that I’m not quite at the point where I’ll be shouting “put me in coach, I’m ready!” when anyone puts out a casting call for an anal scene, but I am a lot more ready now than I was before receiving b-Vibe’s Anal Training & Education Set!
In the past when I’ve used butt plugs, I’ve relied solely on my bidet to help me prep, which isn’t ideal. So, I tried the enema included in the kit and learned a few things about myself. The first being that enema bulbs are difficult for me to keep squeezed long enough to pull it out so I’m not sucking the poo out too. The second being that my butt can hold more water than I thought it could. The third being that I need to work on strengthening my pelvic floor a bit more so I can better hold the water in. Thankfully, the book talks about how to do just that!
After several tries, I finally got a handle on using the enema bulb comfortably and correctly, but there was absolutely a learning curve for me. Don’t be embarrassed or give up quickly if you find the same to be true for you!
The smallest of the plugs included in the kit was about the same size as the plug I’d previously used, and after I cleaned out, I started there. I applied a lot of lube both to my hole and to the toy, and then slid it in. I kept it in for a couple of hours, always aware of it being inside of me. I’m sure for some people that’s a huge turn on, and for me, I fluctuated between arousal and “I need to get this work done but I’m a littttttle distracted right now.”
When I felt brave enough to level up to the medium size, vibrating plug, I was pleasantly surprised how easily it slid in. I wasn’t particularly aroused when putting it in, and it’s significantly larger than the plugs I’ve tried before, but I actually found it more comfortable despite its larger size. I wore it around while doing house chores, enjoying the vibrations as a bit of motivation. I really enjoyed wearing it.
Now, unfortunately, here is where I ended up struggling. The largest plug isn’t that much bigger than the medium plug, but It was just a bit too big for me. Even after warming up my hole, each of my attempts to get the largest one in didn’t go as hoped. The thickest part is where I repeatedly got stuck. I could feel the pressure from the weights and despite numerous tries, my body just wasn’t quite ready for that sensation. I’m going to keep trying, as I know that stretching is something that takes time.
Final Thoughts
Since I am an anal newbie, I found this kit was perfect for me. I learned a lot from the book and I was able to practice some of what I learned very quickly. I’m still not ready for anal sex or even a dildo in my ass, but I feel a lot more confident in my ability to clean out and being able to use plugs comfortably.
The plugs are all really well made and the silicone is top notch. I really enjoyed the medium, vibrating plug the most. I keep going back to it over and over again, and I know I’ll use it in the future for my scenes and for fun.
