HumpToy Charm Dildo Review

Every once in a while, a toy comes a long that completely changes the preconceived notions I hold about my own pleasure. Charm by HumpToy is one of those toys. When I first saw the design, I worried that the horizontal ridges that run along the underside of the shaft would be too much for me.

For me, horizontal texture like that tends to only be good for a few minutes of pleasure and then I’m done. I’m too physically overstimulated to keep going, even though I’m mentally wanting so much more. But then, Charm arrived in a package from HumpToy as part of a review collaboration, and I was hoping to have my mind changed.

Cheers to HumpToy for designing Charm and subsequently breaking my brain!

Meet HumpToy

Based in France, HumpToy is a one person show run by Kenza. After finding few options online for non-phallic, suction cup dildos, Kenza decided to start her own brand. She wanted to bring more suction cup options to the market that were vegan, body-safe and customizable, and I’d say she was successful! HumpToy now has 5 dildos in their line up, plus 2 strokers, a grinder, and a seasonal maw dildo. Charm, the focus of this review, is their newest model to be added to their line-up.

All of their toys are made with platinum cure silicone, cosmetic-grade mica pigments & glitters, and are all vegan. Customers are able to choose from 4 different firmness options and 24 different colors as they customize their order. Customizations aren’t the only way to shop HumpToy, though! They also have inventory that you can browse, with new toys added during occasional inventory drops.

One of the things that I like about HumpToy is their transparency about manufacturing. Kenza has an entire page that walks readers through their process of making sex toys. Starting with 3D modeling through the final steps of unmolding and washing, HumpToy teaches us the basics! HumpToy uses 3D modeling and printing to create their designs, which can sometimes leave 3D printing lines on the final product if special care isn’t given. However, the only sign of 3D printing on Charm is visible only on the inside of the suction cup base.

When I think of HumpToy, I think of their beautiful marbleizations and fades. I have yet to see a marble or fade pour that I didn’t swoon over, though I have to admit that I love their Pastel Cream Pink colorization the most. When discussing this review collaboration with Kenza, I gave her my favorite color combinations but asked her to surprise me so she had full creative freedom to do any sort of coloration, confident in knowing she’d make something gorgeous. I’m so happy with each of the pours she did, and I’m excited to show them off over the coming weeks.

Get to Know Charm

Charm is the first curved toy designed by HumpToy, and it features a smooth, rounded tip that looks like its been rolled onto itself. The dildo reminds me of an ocean wave, depicted by the ancient Greeks. One side of the shaft has 4 large ridges while the other side has gentle floral texture that leads down to a swirling base. The shaft of the toy also tapers down to with a swell on the lower half, where the curve is. Like all of HumpToy’s dildo designs, Charm has a suction cup base and is a non-phallic.

Charm is available in 3 different sizes and is available in 4 different firmness options: soft 00-30, medium soft 00-50, medium 10A and firm 20A. I got a size medium with medium-soft firmness. The medium-soft firmness does have drag, so lubricant is recommended. The medium size has the following dimensions:

  • Total length: 7.5″ / 19cm
  • Insertable length: 6.1″ / 15.5cm
  • Tip diameter: 1.6″ / 4.2cm
  • Maximum diameter: 1.9″ / 4.9cm
  • Maximum circumference: 6.7″ / 17cm
  • Suction cup size: 3.1″ / 7.8cm
  • O-ring recommendation: 2″ / 5.08cm

Care Instructions for Charm by HumpToy

Caring for toys from HumpToy is very easy. Only use water-based lubricants with their toys, and be sure to wash them before and after each use. Use a mild soap that is anti-bacterial, unscented, and does not contain silicone, or you can use a sex toy cleaner. If you want to do a deeper clean, you can immerse your toy in boiling water for a few minutes, making sure not to let the toy rest against the sides or bottom of the pot. Alternatively, you can soak them in a 1:10 bleach:water mixture, or run them through the dishwasher on a sanitize setting without detergent.

It is recommended to keep your toys away from sharp objects or abrasive surfaces to avoid damaging your toy. Only store platinum cure silicone toys with other platinum cure silicone toys. Do not store them with peroxide cure silicone, PVC, jelly, TPE/TPA or other materials.

Since all of the dildos made by HumpToy have suction cups, I also want to make sure that you’re not suctioning toys to a surface than just trying to yank them straight off. That can stretch a toy to the point of ripping or tearing, if you’re not careful! Instead, take a finger along the base of the suction cup, and gently press the tip of your finger under the cup to break the seal. Once the suction seal has broken, you can then remove it from the surface.

My Experiences with HumpToy Charm

As the waves of pleasure crashed over my body the first time I used the dildo, it was clear to me that Charm was going to earn a place in my ever-evolving list of favorite toys. The curve of the toy with the rolled tip was incredible for hitting my g-spot, while the large ridges surprised me as deliciously intense without overstimulating me. Historically, horizontal ridges are too much for me and I couldn’t handle thrusting with them for more than a couple of thrusts, but after using Charm, I’ve realized that I can now handle more than I previously could.

Using Charm on myself, I still leaned heavily towards my preference of inserting a dildo and leaving it put with my thighs holding it in place, rocking my hips as I used a vibrator on my clitoris. The tip caressing my g-spot was deliciously pleasurable, the swell gave me a feeling of fullness that drives me crazy. Rocking my hips up & down gave me the sensation of little, short thrusts that helped me realize that maybe I wanted to try longer, deeper thrusts.

So, of course, I did. First by using the suction cup ergonomic handle from Silc Arts, then by having my wife use the toy on me. Using the handle was a fantastic halfway point between my preferred solo usage and having Cassie use the dildo on me. It enabled me to test the waters of how it would feel to have the dramatic ridges thrusting into me without worrying about hitting the pause button on sex if it was too much. I was surprised to find that the ridges weren’t too much and the thrusts I was able to do on my own were more comfortable and pleasurable than I expected.

The ergonomic handle wasn’t the only great use of the suction cup base Charm features, though. The suction cup was fantastic for all of my riding desires too. Both the shower and a makeshift dildo mount both allowed me to indulge in even further pleasure as I rode the toy in different positions, though I confess that riding isn’t the easiest way for me to achieve orgasm.

When it came time to test the dildo by having Cassie thrust it into me, I was a bit anxious. The first time I put Charm on my nightstand to use, I chickened out last minute and grabbed a different dildo to use. She goes much harder and faster than what I do on my own, and I didn’t know if I could handle it. But the second time I put Charm out to use during sex, I didn’t back down.

I came so much, I thought I wouldn’t be able to walk for a while.

Maybe it was the warm up beforehand, maybe my body has changed in such a way that ridges aren’t as overstimulating as they once were. Whatever the case may be, Charm felt amazing as Cassie thrust it into me, over and over again. Thank gosh for the sex blanket beneath us, because I was squirting and gushing and my body couldn’t stop. The g-spot stimulation was crazy good, especially when paired with clitoral stimulation that repeatedly sent pleasure crashing over me.

I’ve focused on the ridges so much that maybe you’re wondering about the rest of the texture. Honestly, the three flowers on the top of the shaft are so gentle that I barely noticed them during use. I know they’re there and I know they’re raised texture that was likely stimulating me, but they’re not nearly as raised as the ridges on the bottom side of the shaft. For me, the tip and the ridges stole the show and all of my attention.

At the time of writing this, Cassie has not tried the dildo on herself nor have I used the dildo on her. Charm is anal friendly and harness compatible. I would recommend a harness that does not have the suction cup base sitting directly against your body, as a suction cup can suction to your body and cause bruising if you’re not careful! (Trust me, I’ve bruised my forehead thanks to a suction cup dildo and the urge to to have dildo unicorn horn)

  • Handmade in France using body-safe, vegan materials
  • Easy to clean
  • Bulbous tip is amazing for g-spot stimulation
  • Suction cup base
  • Harness compatible
  • Anal friendly
  • Customize size, firmness and colors

  • Horizontal ridges may be too much for some users
  • Soft silicone is a bit tacky and dust, lint, hair, etc may stick to the surface

My Final Thoughts on Charm by HumpToy

This beautiful work of sensual art by HumpToy is as pleasurable as it is visually appealing. Charm shocked me in a delicious way, with the ridges caressing my body as the tip sent pleasure washing over me every time it hit my g-spot. It’s hard to find any flaws with this dildo, as the design is pleasurable, the pour is exquisite, and the suction cup is strong & durable. Overall, I’m smitten with Charm. One might say it’s quite charming 😉

Charm launches this week on HumpToy’s website, and while I do not have an affiliate link, I highly recommend checking out their site!
