I’ve had awareness of Honey Play Box for a few years now: I regularly see their products in my IG feed and I’ve seen some of my online sex worker peers talking about using their products for cam shows, but I just never took time to look into the brand until recently when they reached out to me about working together.
One of the things that instantly gave me positive vibes about Honey Play Box is that the main website menu has a prominently placed tab specifically for Camming. As an online sex worker, I don’t often feel “seen” by mainstream brands, so seeing a top level menu option for camming was a pleasant surprise that left a good taste in my mouth about the brand, and I ultimately responded that I was interested in working with them.

Get to Know Melody by Honey Play Box
Melody is a wearable panty vibrator inspired by musical notes that provides stimulation unlike any other panty vibe I’ve ever tried. It’s got 3 motors: one in each of the insertable bulbs and one in the base for external stimulation. The external stimulator is ergonomically designed, with a slightly squishy bump that is designed to reach and stimulate the clitoris. When using the Honey Play Box app, you can control the internal stimulators separately from the external stimulator. Without the app, you are not able to separately control the internal vs external stimulators, though you can cycle through 3 intensities and 6 patterns. It’s got pressure sensing technology that responds to your muscle contractions on the vibe.
This app-controlled vibrator is available in Watermelon Red or Cobalt Blue, and is made with body-safe silicone. The device is IPX7 waterproof, meaning it can be safely submerged for use in the bathtub. It’s rechargeable and fairly quiet too. Melody can also be used with Vibe-Connect, an app that allows for interactive cam shows or streams on a few different camming platforms, including but not limited to Chaturbate, Joystick.tv, and MyFreeCams.

Care Instructions for Melody
I love waterproof submersible vibrators because they are the easiest to clean, in my opinion. Wash the device with warm water and an antibacterial, unscented soap, such as Dawn, and allow to dry fully before storing. You can also soak the device in a 1 part bleach, 10 parts water mixture for a few minutes. There are some deeper grooves that you may need to gently run a fingernail along or use a soft toothbrush to properly clean.
The device uses magnetic charging, which takes about 1.5 hours. While charging, the light on the HPB logo on the base will flash. Once the light stops flashing, it is fully charged and ready for use! Each charge lasts approximately 45 minutes.
The instruction manual for Melody is pretty clear: do not use oil, hand lotion, or silicone-based lubricants with the device. Avoid using any alcohol based cleaning products, as well as gasoline or acetone.

How to Use Melody
After fully charging the device and cleaning it, press and hold the HPB logo on the bottom of the device to power it on. The logo will light up & flash, and it is then ready for connecting to the app. With the app open, select either Bluetooth Connect or Long-Distance Connection, and you’ll see the device pop up on the next screen. Tap “Connect” and you’ll be ready for free style play, individual motor control, presets, music sync, or long-distance control.
Once connected to the app, add a bit of water-based lubricant to the top bulb and slowly insert the device with the bulbs facing towards your belly button. Once inserted, get your vibrations going and have fun! When you’re finished, press and hold the HPB logo on the base of the vibrator to power it off.
To use without the app, simply press & hold the HPB logo to power on. Once the flashing light is on, a quick press of the button will start the vibrations and you can give it a quick press to cycle through the 9 modes manually. Press and hold the button again to power off the device.

My Experiences with Honey Play Box Melody
The representative that reached out from HPB didn’t have a specific toy in mind for me to review, so I asked about the Melody panty vibrator. I remembered seeing something about it recently that had piqued my curiosity and I really love wearable panty vibrators, so it seemed like a perfect toy to introduce me to the brand. Amusingly enough, it wasn’t until after I requested Melody that I really looked further into the product. Once I actually looked into the product more, my excitement for this wearable vibrator skyrocketed and I was excited for the music sync option with the app.
When Melody arrived, I was really excited to start testing it but had a queue of other products that needed my attention first. Once I finally pulled it out of the bag a week or so after it arrived, I ran into a small charging issue: the device wasn’t charging unless I handheld it, then once I found a charging block & outlet that I didn’t have to handhold the device, the flashing light that indicates the vibe is still charging never stopped flashing. Thankfully, they were really great about quickly sending me a replacement vibe. I have not run into any charging issues with the replacement!

Inserting Melody was really similar to inserting kegal balls and it was a little bit of a challenge, but once it was in, I could feel both of the bulbs in a very, very noticeable way. Once the power was turned on, I thought I might explode almost right away, and that was before I really started having fun with the various app controls.
The HPB app has a few different options for playing, but given that this vibrator is music themed, it felt fitting to spend the most time with the Music sync option. I didn’t go anywhere with loud music to test it that way, but I did have solo dance parties at home and ya’ll. Holy. Fuck.
Honey Play Box Melody‘s dual note stimulators are insane on the Music sync option. Feeling the two bulbs alternating in sync with the right music sent me over the edge (I’m looking at you, K-Pop Demon Hunters soundtrack). It felt like they were actually moving inside of me, even though I know that’s not actually the case. Especially when synced with music, it felt like the bulbs were dancing and I’ve never experienced anything quite like this before. The vibrator picked up beats to the music that I couldn’t even hear!

I know I go back & forth about app-controlled vibrators, and that isn’t likely to change anytime soon. However, the Honey Play Box app really made this a far better experience than trying to use the vibe without the app. The button on the bottom of the device isn’t particularly easy to get to when it’s inserted and you’ve got short arms & big belly combo. The app made it much easier for my wife or I to control the vibration intensities on each motor, though it did have a few moments of learning curve as there are two independently controlled motors to control.
I’m using the app on an iPhone 14 Pro, and I did notice an issue worth mentioning: while the device was turned on & connected to the app, if I switched to a different app then returned to the Honey Play Box app, I had to reconnect the device to continue using the app to control it. The same happened if my phone went to sleep, though I didn’t have to reconnect. This wasn’t a huge problem during sex, as I used a different phone to play music and neither my wife nor I are on our phones during sex. It presented more of an issue outside of the bedroom, ie, when cleaning or having some discreet fun in public, when we’re on our phones more often using a variety of other apps too.

The external stimulator was not nearly as dramatic of an experience as the internal stimulators, but I was really surprised by how it reached between my labia to vibrate against my clit. The vibrations were most effective for me when I was seated rather than while I was dancing around or walking around, even while wearing tight fitting panties that keep it snuggly inserted.
Normally, I really love wearing pussy plugs or insertable, wearable vibrators like this while I’m strap-on topping. While I did enjoy that with HPB Melody, I wasn’t quite able to achieve orgasm that way. That’s not unusual for me, nor is that a complaint. I was able to achieve orgasm with Melody while sitting and walking around, though!
Cassie did not try Melody, though the vibrator’s design could be used anally. The external stimulator would sit against the perineum to give external p-spot stimulation. If/when Cassie does try Melody, I’ll update this review with her thoughts!

Final Thoughts on Honey Play Box Melody
As someone who is not always a fan of toys with app control, I have to admit that I really loved using the app for Honey Play Box Melody. The music sync was so much fun with the dual internal stimulators, and I’ve never felt anything quite like this before. I am overall really impressed with Melody!
I think Honey Play Box Melody is a great option for both individuals couples who are into exhibitionist play, those who are in long-distance relationships & use app-controlled toys regularly, and those who are looking for a truly unique wearable panty vibrator experience.
