eeeeeee!! Time for me to introduce you to my first dildo from Hodge Podge Entourage: Moix. What is it about fungus that makes for such great dildos? Perhaps it’s the fantastic ridge that is perfect for g-spot or prostate stimulation. Maybe it’s just that mushrooms are literally so cute.
Moix isn’t just some fungus or mushroom, though. Moix is a myconid, or fungus folk, a race of peaceful creatures from the D&D world. Hodge Podge Entourage collaborated with Sarybomb, a queer fantasy writer, to create with Moix, and now I’m ready to tell you all about this stout little toy.

Meet Hodge Podge Entourage
Originally starting as a one person business, Hodge Podge Entourage (HPE) came about after the owner, Squish, left a career in education and counseling. As Squish entered into the world of making sex toys, they started by designing toys on Scluptris, finding it a much more fun and enjoyable practice. When HPE entered into the indie sex toy community, Squish had a lot of technical know-how that skyrocketed the brand into popularity. As the fantasy toy company grew, HPE became more of a family brand, with Squish’s husband leaving his job to join the team, and later their mother retired and began working full-time at HPE.
The popularity of Hodge Podge Entourage has also led to award nominations over the years, including Kira-Gira winning the Fan-Favorite Sex Toy Sculpt at the 2022 AltPorn Awards! Squish attributes the success of HPE to the amazing sex toy community, which has enabled them to drastically change the trajectory of their lives. In chatting with Squish, it was so clear to me how passionate they are about making sex toys, and how grateful they are to have their passion project become a livelihood.
Fast forward to 2026, HPE currently has 51 models available for regular purchase, with 40 insertable models and 11 penetrables & grinders, not including their squishes and trinkets. Squish did let me know that they plan to retire some older models to make way for new models, including a re-release of a model acquired from Made to Were, Dinhar.
When I asked Squish what their favorite pour style is, they shared that they love pearly fades and split-fades, though they’re best known for sparkly colorshift pours. Their most popular model is Scylla, one of their OG insertables, which Squish shared is one of their most well-known items as well.
All of HPE’s products are made with a high gloss finish silicone, which will slowly matte over time, down to a satin gloss. This is normal, and is caused by a mixture of usage, lubrication, silicone firmness, and time. It is not indicative of any degradation or loss of integrity, and toys that are no longer high gloss are still safe to use. The firmnesses available from HPE include 00-20, 00-30, 00-50, NC 00-31 and NC 00-45.
Personally speaking, I think it’s really special to have a passion project turn into a means of making a living. Seeing how Squish talk about having both their husband and mom as part of their business just made me love Hodge Podge Entourage even more!
How to Shop Hodge Podge Entourage
HPE currently offers two ways to purchase: inventory drops or rare MTO events. Inventory drops occur at least once a month on a Tuesday at 7pm EST. The best way to keep track of when inventory drops are scheduled is to follow them on BlueSky, though they also have a Calendar page that will show upcoming drops and events. MTO events are fairly rare, and tend to focus on a single toy or coloration. Their most recent MTO event featured Nightshift customs, with 6 coloration options available. Customers were able to select one of the colorations to have poured on a model of their choice.
Similarly to other shops that primarily do inventory drops, Hodge Podge Entourage’s more popular colorations and models do go quickly. When shopping a drop, the fastest way to ensure that you get the piece you want is to use Shop Pay, which allows for a one-click purchase.

Now, Let’s Chat About Moix!
Moix is one of the newer models available from Hodge Podge Entourage, launched in September 2025. The model features a fat, flared mushroom cap head with rounded edges, a thick, ribbed shaft with a slight swell, and a base full of mini-mushrooms for delicious external stimulation. The ribbed shaft has vertical ribbing, which is noticeable but I find it more comfortable than a shaft with horizontal ribbing. I would consider the texture on this fantasy dildo to be a “mild” amount. Moix’s full name is Moix the Myconid, and was designed in collaboration with Sarybomb.
One of the things I appreciate most about Hodge Podge Entourage is that they’ve got a wide range of sizes for their toys, with 6 sizes available of Moix. Moix is available in a squish size, with mini, small, smedium, medium and large sizes also available. I also really appreciate that on the Catalog listing for each of their toys, you can find the base pricing for each size of their toys. I got a size mini Moix “flop” with a medium 00-50 firmness, which has the following dimensions:

*The o-ring size recommendation I’ve listed is for strap-on harnesses that have a built in o-ring. If you’re using a strap-on harness with straps that attach to the o-ring, I recommend either sizing up your o-ring or attaching the fasteners once the o-ring is already around the dildo.
Caring for Moix by Hodge Podge Entourage
One of the things I love about indie toy companies like HPE is that they make all of their products with platinum cure silicone, so fantasy dildos like Moix are very easy to clean. The softer the silicone, the more tacky the surface texture will feel, which also means things like hair, dust, lint, etc tend to stick to the surface very easily. That’s why you should always wash your sex toys both before and after use! A simple wash with warm water and an unscented, antibacterial soap will do the trick, just try to avoid using soaps that contain silicone. You can also use a toy cleaner, but this isn’t necessary! Your dish soap is fine. The base of the dildo does have a lot more bumps to it, so you may need a soft toothbrush to properly clean all the grooves between bumps.
If you need to do a deeper clean, you have a few options:
- submerge in a pot of boiling water for a few minutes, making sure the toy does not rest against the sides or bottom of the pot
- wash on a sanitize setting in your dishwasher but do NOT use detergent
- soak in a 1 part bleach/10 part water mixture for about 10 minutes. Do NOT boil bleach!
When it comes to what kind of lubricant should you use, grab your favorite water based lube or a natural oil lube. Avoid silicone based lubricants with silicone toys, as this can lead to permanent stickiness or damage the toy.
It’s important to also store your fantasy sex toys properly! Store your toys in a clean, dry space out of direct sunlight. You can store them in storage bags or on a metal, glass, or plastic surface. Silicone can leave silicone oil stains on wood furniture, but this will not damage the toy itself. It is safe to store your fantasy dildo against other toys that are made with platinum cure silicone, glass, metal, wood or plastic. However, you should avoid storing Moix against questionable materials, TPE, jelly, etc.
My Experiences with HPE Moix
This was my first time ordering from Hodge Podge Entourage, and I have to say that right off the bat, it was a great experience. I had a couple of small denomination gift cards that I wanted to use for the purchase, and emailed them to see if there was a way that they could allow me to use multiple payment methods to place the order. They were quick to respond (less than 24 hours) and dealt with my unusual, pain-in-the-ass request with professionalism and kindness. We got through the hoops, and I placed an order for Moix and Whisper during their pre-Black Friday sale.
The international shipping to The Netherlands was faster than I expected, especially during the holiday season. Shipping took about 2 weeks total, from when I received shipping notification to when the package arrived. Packaging was simple: tissue paper, a care card, and sturdy plastic bags, each containing a toy inside.
As I mentioned earlier, I did order a “flop” Moix. The “flop” on this particular one is a bubble on the base/butt of the toy, which has zero impact on use and really isn’t something that is noticeable unless you pick it up and look at the base. Bubbles can happen from the liquid silicone settling after de-gassing and pouring. I personally don’t mind flops, being the somewhat frugal shopper that I am.
Using Moix? So good. So, so, soooo good. That flared head is orgasmic. The mid-shaft thickness gave me that feeling of fullness that I love. It didn’t matter if I was thrusting or just letting it fill me up while using a vibrator on my clit or having my wife use it on me, no matter how I used Moix, I was euphoric. Orgasms came easily and repeatedly.
In the product description for Moix, Hodge Podge Entourage mentions that the head gives a “*pop* of sensation,” and whoooo they are not lying. That pop in, pop out of the head is delicious. The fat mushroom head was perfect for hitting my g-spot, and when my wife realized this while using the fantasy dildo on me, I caught a glimpse of her mischievous grin that told me we were both very happy to have the dildo inside me. The rounded edge of the flared mushroom head does make it pretty comfortable to take, as it’s not too different from the coronal ridge of a realistic dildo.
I can’t remember the last time I used a high gloss dildo, as most of the dildos in my collection have a satin gloss finish. I was a little worried that it wouldn’t be as easy or comfortable as the satin gloss finish, as I’ve seen members of the sex toy community sharing that they find high gloss dildos less comfortable. I didn’t experience that, but I also always use a good quality water-based lube and regularly re-apply more lube when needed.
Really, my biggest issue with Moix was less about the design and more about how my body worked with it. As a member of the short arms/big belly team, the mini size Moix wasn’t the easiest for thrusting in and out of myself. I did end up using a double sided suction cup and my suction cup ergonomic handle when I wanted to thrust the dildo during masturbation. This made thrusting so much easier, as it was an uncomfortable challenge to reach, hold the base, and thrust without it.
When comparing Moix to another mushroom dildo in my collection, Amanita by Fantasy Grove, I love that the two dildos are quite different. They’re both short and stout mushroom themed fantasy dildos with big fat mushroom heads, but they boast different textures along the head, shaft, and base. Moix has a smooth head, while Amanita has some bumps on the head. Moix’s shaft has smooth, vertical texture, while Amanita has some bumps on their vertically textured shaft. Moix’s base has bumps from other mushrooms, while Amanita has a different type of bump from other mushrooms. If someone was looking for a more gentle texture mushroom dildo, I’d suggest Moix. If someone wanted a bit more texture and enjoys bumpy textures, I’d suggest Amanita. If someone just collects mushroom sex toys, I’d suggest both, plus the mushroom vibrator from Maia Toys.

My Final Verdict on Moix by Hodge Podge Entourage
I love Moix. I love the shape of the head, the thicker in the middle shaft, the ribbons of color, the size, and the firmness. This was my first time buying from Hodge Podge Entourage, and after using Moix, I’m confident that it won’t be the last time. The orgasms I achieved using Moix were plentiful and explosive. It’s a really well designed fantasy dildo! Using Moix has made me even more excited to use Whisper, which I’ll review at a later date when I’ve spent more time using the fantasy dildo.
I’d recommend Moix for people who are considering dipping their toe into the world of fantasy sex toys, as the texture is pretty approachable. I’d also recommend it for anyone who loves mushroom toys and/or who loves a good fat mushroom head. Some lovers of highly textured toys may find Moix lacking, but for me, that tip really just makes up for any texture that I might be missing!
