Ya know what I want more of when it comes to sex toys in general? Built in handles. Not that there aren’t some great options for handles that can be suctioned or vac-u-locked onto a toy, but built in handles will always be a superior option. So when I saw Gorilla Machine’s Nether dildo, I knew I had to get one.
I was first introduced to Gorilla Machine as a brand because of their semi-iconic barrel stroker. It gave me Donkey Kong vibes, and I had to see what other types of toys they make. Nether has been on my want list ever since! Gorilla Machine is a European based indie toy company that started in 2021. I did reach out to them for further info so I could share with you, however I did not hear back from them.
Meet Nether, the Fantasy Tentacle Dildo with Built-In Handle
Slithering out of a barrel is Nether, a tentacle dildo with a tapered and curved design, with plenty of texture. You’ll find familiar sucker texture on one side of the tentacle with texture that resembles drips of slime or water on the opposite side. The textures are separated by a vertical ridge that runs up the insertable length of the dildo. Available in 3 sizes, Nether is made with platinum cure silicone and can be purchased as a custom made-to-order (MTO) dildo or from Gorilla Machine’s current inventory. There are two pre-determined color options for MTOs, Slime and Retro, or customers can select their own pour style and colors. Gorilla Machine’s size chart indicates that there is a mini size, however it is not available from the drop down list on the custom listing page.

I purchased a size small Nether in a medium 00-50 firmness. There is a good amount of squish to the dildo, and it flops around really well while still maintaining its shape when held at a right angle. Nether is included in my Squish/Squeeze/Shake test video at the 18:26 timestamp. The size small has the following dimensions:
- Total length: 8.07″ / 20.5cm
- Insertable length: 5.31″ / 13.5cm
- Handle length: 2.75″ / 7cm
- Head diameter: 1.16″ / 2.95cm
- Mid shaft diameter: 1.55″ / 3.95cm
- Shaft base diameter: 1.87″ / 4.75cm
- Handle circumference: 7.25″ / 18.5cm
How to Care for Gorilla Machine Nether Fantasy Dildo
Though Gorilla Machine does not have care instructions listed on their website, have no fear because I’ve got you covered! Not only that, but platinum cure silicone is super easy to clean and there are several options available for cleaning:
- For a basic clean, which you should do both before and after each use, grab your preferred specialty toy cleaner or an unscented, antibacterial soap, lather up the fantasy dildo and rinse thoroughly. There is enough texture on Nether that you may need to use a small, soft brush to get in all the nooks and crannies.
- For a deeper clean, you have three options:
- Boil in water for 5-10 minutes, using a silicone cooking utensil to make sure the dildo is not resting against the sides or bottom of the pot
- Soak in a 10% bleach/90% water mixture for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. Do not boil bleach!
- Wash in the dishwasher on a sanitize setting without detergent. Do not use any sort of detergent!
- Bake on a flat baking tray lined with parchment paper at 350F/180C for 10 minutes.
You’ll typically only need to stick to a basic clean before and after each use, however if you’re using an oil based lubricant, you may find that a basic clean isn’t quite enough to get the oil film off the silicone. With silicone sex toys, you should only use a water or oil based lube, unless the manufacturer specifically says other lubricants are safe with their toys. I’ve been using System JO for my entire adult life, and I like their regular H2O original or H2O Jelly if I want a thicker lube.

Lube and cleaning are only part of the equation with care, though! Platinum cure silicone is a durable material, but it can still be damaged. To avoid damaging your pieces, do not store platinum cure silicone with sex toys made with jelly, TPE, PVC or other porous materials, don’t store them against or on a heavily textured surface, and don’t bite, scratch or cut them. If you’re storing toys in bags, make sure the toy has fully dried before storing, as mold can grow on the surface of silicone.
My Experiences with Gorilla Machine Nether Dildo
Nether and a squishie, Netherino, were my first purchase from Gorilla Machine. As I mentioned earlier, Nether caught my eye because of the built-in handle. As someone with a short arm/big belly combo, certain positions are more/less difficult for me to comfortably reach and thrust a toy into myself, so I occasionally end up getting larger toys than I need simply for the extra length. It’s not always ideal, as larger sizes don’t just mean extra length, they also mean extra girth, and extra girth doesn’t always work for me.
A handle adds accessibility for me, though! Not only can I use the dildo to thrust into myself more comfortably, but Cassie has reported that using this dildo on me is a lot more comfortable on her hands thanks to the handle. We’ve tried a couple different positions as Cassie used the dildo on me, including her giving me oral sex while using the dildo on me vaginally, and Cassie always shared how comfortable it is to hold during use… even unprompted. It really is a win-win for both of us!

I could keep raving about handles and why they’re so important, but that’s only part of the fantasy dildo and I’m sure ya’ll want to know more about the rest of Nether.
My buying experience with Gorilla World is limited to this one, single purchase, but I do have a bit of a gripe with their site: the lack of photos. Not all of their models have multiple photos to show all sides and textures of a design, nor do the pre-determined color MTOs have large pics on the product page of that toy in that coloration. The product pages for MTO offerings are the 3D renderings made in the 3D printing process, I believe, and they only show one angle. I’d love to see photos of other angles, size comparisons, and the pre-determined coloration options. Some of the available stock show other angles, which is helpful, but I’d love to see more on the MTO listings themselves.
Beyond that, my experience was good! When I ordered mine, I purchased from the the available stock during a sale and ended up getting the small Nether and a medium Netherino for €60.90 plus shipping and VAT, for a total of €85.08. There was an issue with the Netherino, but Gorilla Machine contacted me almost immediately to let me know and they swapped it out for a different one with the same colors, so it wasn’t a big deal for me.

As a vaginal user, Nether‘s curved and tapered design does a lot for me. The tip is easy to insert, though it grows in girth quite quickly. That doesn’t bother me, as I enjoy the stretch as I insert more of the tentacle dildo. Depending on whether I want g-spot or a-spot stimulation, I can insert the dildo partially or fully. On both spots, the small tip of the dildo has a soft rounded point that provides enough stimulation for me to achieve orgasm.
The texture of the shaft is really what makes a big difference in pleasure, though. I love tentacle dildos! I have 11 of them, not including tentacle grinders (4) nor mass produced tentacles (1). I would put Nether around a 5 out of 10 on the texture intensity compared to other tentacle dildos in my collection. I think Celia, Illex, Tako, and Levaina have more and/or deeper texture, while Oceanus, Tentacle Ovipositor and Maid’s Secret Silicone have less texture.

I found the texture really enjoyable for both long strokes and short strokes, particularly with the suckers facing my belly button. With the suckers facing my back, I just wasn’t getting the same enjoyment from the stimulation and I was missing the soft poke against my g-spot or a-spot. It wasn’t bad, just not as enjoyable and it took longer for me to achieve orgasm that way. I think the times I struggled the most with the texture were when I wasn’t properly lubricated or when it was thrusted too quickly before I was properly warmed up.

I didn’t test Nether while riding, because I don’t find it comfortable to have to hand hold a toy while riding. It’s a really awkward and uncomfortable position for me to hold, even when sort of in a modified doggystyle reaching between my legs from the front. I’m sure it can be done, but for me to stay in the position needed to hold the dildo and achieve orgasm would take longer than I can handle.
Technically, Nether is harness compatible, but I frankly cannot imagine wanting to use this dildo in a harness. The handle or base of the dildo is thick (2.75″ / 7cm), which means you’d need to adjust your harness accordingly. It also means that whoever is wearing it will have a spacer bumping up against their body while using it on someone else, and not a spacer that squishes down between bodies. I’ve strap-on topped with toys with a thick base before, and I always found it uncomfortable, even with bases that aren’t as thick as Nether (I’m looking at you, Dildos and Dragons).
The only way that Cassie tried Gorilla Machine’s Nether was by hand-holding it to use it on me. The girth of the fantasy dildo is a lot bigger than I can take for anal use, so I cannot report any findings to share with fellow anal users. If this changes in the future, I’ll update this review accordingly!

Pros:
- built-in handle makes this easy to hold during solo or couple play
- made with platinum cure silicone
- anal safe
- great for both thrusting and cock-warming
- moderately textured compared to other tentacle dildos
- available in inventory stock or as a MTO
- customize by size, firmness, pour style and colors
Cons:
- not great for strap-on play
- soft silicone can feel tacky or sticky and have a lot of drag
- soft silicone also attracts dirt, dust, hair, lint, pollen, etc
- moderate texture may still be too much or too little for some users
- MTOs only have the option for 2 colors
- currently not shipping to the US

My Final Thoughts on Gorilla Machine Nether Fantasy Dildo
Gorilla Machine did a great job in designing Nether, and I’d say that my first purchase from them was a success. I really enjoy both the shape and texture of the tentacle, and having a base handle is a great way to make an accessible dildo option for folks. Nether is comfortable to hold and both pleasurable and comfortable to use or have used on me. The quality is good and I didn’t see any 3D printing lines left over nor any flaws that would be considered a flop. It’s a really nice dildo, ya’ll!
Though Nether is mid-level texture compared to other tentacles in my collection, I do think that it may be a bit too textured for newer fantasy dildo users. The texture can be softened by using a softer silicone firmness, but it may still be too overwhelming for some. I’d recommend Gorilla Machine’s Nether to those who are comfortable and/or experienced with texture.
I do not have an affiliate link for Gorilla Machine, however don’t let that stop you from buying from them! I’m overall really happy with my purchase and I’d suggest checking them out. I’ve placed links throughout this post to make buying from them easy 🙂
