After a successful month in 2025, I decided to treat myself to a custom dildo from Fera Daemon, and knew exactly which non-phallic dildo I wanted to get next: the Nymf Tulip. At the time, they had a really elegant holiday coloration, Fairy Dust, that caught my eye. The swirling mix of gold, silver and white makes the dildo look like an intricately carved, small marble statue. Despite the firm appearance of the pour, this custom dildo is actually quite soft and squishy!
Recently, I’ve found myself really enjoying more and more of the non-phallic dildos that indie toy companies, like Fera Daemon, are making. When I think of indie sex toy companies, my mind usually goes towards fantasy dildos or realistic dildos, but I’m starting to see more of the small shops making designs that don’t resemble the penis, anus or vulva of any creature. I love it! Sometimes I just don’t want to use phallic dildos but I still want something pretty, handcrafted and customized to my preferences. I doubt I’m the only one either.
Allow me to introduce you to this beautiful flower dildo.
Stop and Smell the Nymf Tulip
If you remember my review of Echo, you may remember that Fera Daemon is an indie toy company based in France that makes non-phallic custom dildos. They have two different flower dildo models and a matching butt plug, all called Nymf. The Nymf dildos are Tulipe and Arquée, or Tulip and Arched, and both are available in 5 different sizes and 3 different firmnesses, with or without an illustration. All of their platinum cure silicone toys come with a satin storage pouch, printed with the artwork for each of their Daemons.
I’ve had my eye on both Nymf models for a while, and decided to grab Tulip first. Tulip, has a closed tulip blossom, then a swell about a finger width below it. The texture on the dildo is mostly rounded, vertical ridges, though there is a row of small bumps below the blossom and a single column of small bumps on the top and bottom of the stem, or shaft. The base flares out with flower petals which provide a comfortable finger placement while holding. Tulipe is not a model that has a suction cup base option, so the base is flat.
My Tulipe is a size 2 in soft shore A-1, which has a good deal of squish to it. Size 2 has the following dimensions:
- Total Length: 6.69” / 17cm

Tending to Your Tulip Garden
One of the things I love most about platinum cure silicone is how easy it is to both clean and sterilize. Platinum cure silicone, stainless steel and glass are all non-porous materials that can be properly sterilized, whereas other materials like TPE, Jelly, Rubber, etc are all porous. The easiest way to clean platinum cure silicone is with warm water and a regular hand soap or dish soap that is unscented and antibacterial. The texture isn’t too challenging to clean, and I haven’t needed to use a soft brush to get in the nooks and crannies. The very tip of the bud is the only place I felt I needed to run a finger nail around to fully clean.
Fera Daemon suggests water-based lube as the most suitable option with their toys, though they do share that oil-based lubricants are also compatible. Oil-based lubes can stick to the surface of silicone, so a deeper clean may be needed. When you deep clean, you’re also sterilizing the dildo! You have a few options:
- Boil in water for 10 minutes, making sure the toy isn’t resting against the sides or base of the pan
- Soak in a 10% bleach/90% water mixture for 10 minutes. Do not boil bleach!
- Run through the dishwasher without detergent, on a sanitize setting
How you store your toys is also really important! Do not store them with toys made with jelly, rubber or TPE. Do not store them against abrasive surfaces. All of Fera Daemon’s toys do come with a satin storage bag, but you should make sure that the daemon is fully dry before storing it.
My Experiences with Fera Daemon Tulip
Of course I swooned as I opened the box from Fera Daemon containing my precious Tulip dildo. Their packaging feels so special and luxurious, and I’m such a sucker for their world building with the [optionally] included artwork. Fera Daemon’s shipping policy says it may take between 3 days to 3 weeks for them to pour their custom dildos before shipping. I was pretty surprised by how quickly my order shipped from France to the Netherlands, as it arrived 10 days after I placed my order. That was during the holiday season, so I expected slower manufacturing times and shipping times!
I’ll get this out of the way now so I can focus on the good stuff: the only thing I don’t like about the Nymf models is the lack of option for a suction cup base. That’s it. Their other dildo models, Echo, Nea, and Fenra, all have the suction cup base option, but those all have circular bases, while Nymf has a base that’s more flower shaped. From what I know, irregular shaped bottoms can provide more of a challenge for indie shops to make and have a higher flop rate, which in turn drives up prices for customers.
Though I was disappointed, it ended up not a big deal to me because the flower shaped base is really comfortable to hold. It’s like an ergonomic grip with my fingers spaced out perfectly on the size 2 (small). Even when my hands were very slippery from lube, holding the base never gave me any issues. I have some nerve damage in my hand, so I sometimes run into comfort issues with bases. Not the case with Nymf Tulip dildo!
The length of the size 2 is nice, as I really only need to get the bulb and the swell inserted to get g-spot stimulation, and then I still have some flexible additional length. The extra length can bend, which makes it easier for me to reach comfortably without straining my back. There’s no curve to the design, but the shape is still stimulating on my g-spot when I’ve got the tip angled towards my belly button. That position is slightly more difficult on me, so I mainly get to enjoy that when the dildo is being used on me or if I’ve got my ergonomic handle and a double sided suction cup. The swell of the stem is barely thicker than the tip, but the movement of both against my g-spot when thrusting is sensational.
Tulip was so comfortable to hold and so enjoyable when thrusted that I ended up using the dildo in one of my hour long masturbation custom videos (it’s also available for members of my site). These videos are pretty intense in that they often take me several hours to film, and I’m hand-pumping and riding for most of the video. I do one position, doggystyle, with a fuck machine because it’s just too hard on my body to try to hand pump while in that position. Tulip stayed attached to the double-sided suction cup and attachment head pretty well, but just due to the nature of the suction cup acting also as a hinge, there was more droopage than ideal. I was still able to make it work, though.
Riding Tulip also required the double-sided suction cup. I don’t have a new dildo mount yet, so I’ve resorted to using a shallow ceramic bowl when doing any riding in solo videos. It’s not ideal, but it works until a worthy replacement in Europe is found. When suctioned to my temporary dildo mount, the length of the dildo was comfortable to ride without ever going too deep. Riding isn’t really a position I do a lot of in my off-camera masturbation, as it’s not as easy for me to achieve orgasm that way (I can do it, but I’ve found it’s easier for me with a partner than with a dildo).
I think Tulip‘s design is more pleasurable when it’s thrusted, but I also enjoyed the sensation of fullness when I just held it still as I used a vibrator on my clitoris or received oral. I was able to achieve orgasm both ways, but the thrusting pushed me over the edge more often than cock warming. I think I’d prefer inserting the dildo and not moving it with a larger size, like the size 3 (medium). The size 2 was nice for cock warming, especially when I was feeling tender from recent penetration, but I prefer a bit more girth.
The soft firmness was also really comfortable for me, as it does have a good amount of squish without ever feeling like too much or too little softness. There’s still plenty of movement when shaking the dildo or when wearing it in a harness, but it doesn’t droop as much as I expected at a 90 degree angle (unless it’s attached to the double-sided suction cup). For me, texture is always easier and less overstimulating with softer firmnesses. The majority of texture also runs vertically up the shaft, which also works in my favor to soften the intensity of texture. It’s a wonderful combination of texture and softness!
Nymf Tulip is anal friendly, but the size 2 is still a bit more than I can take and too small for my wife, Cassie, to want to take. The base is flared enough for anal use, though! The vertical texture may end up pushing air into anal users though, which Cassie and I have experienced with some other dildos that have vertical texture. The vertical texture on Fera Daemon’s Nymf Tulip is not as deep as the texture on Solina Toys Monsta or Bad Dragon Orochi, but the possibility is there. If you are concerned about air being pushed in during use, I’d suggest the other Nymf dildo, Arched or Arquée, since it looks like it has a different type of vertical texture: small, round bumps that run up the length of the shaft or stem.
Though I didn’t get to use Nymf Tulip as a strap-on top, my wife did use it in a harness on me! Cassie said that the dildo handled well in her RodeoH strap-on harness. Having the dildo thrust into me during strap-on penetration was really enjoyable, and further solidified my opinion that this dildo is best used for thrusting.

My Final Thoughts on Fera Daemon Nymf Tulip
After spending so much time swooning over Fera Daemon’s Nymf dildo designs, I’m so happy that I finally have my very own Tulip! I love the pour and I think that it adds to the discreet design of the dildo. When I’m ready to get the other Nymf model, I’ll likely size up to the size 3. Size 2 serves me well with Tulip, especially for thrusting, but I’d love a slightly larger size that’s better for me for cock warming. The softness of the A-1 firmness silicone was comfortable for prolonged use, and I think my future orders with Fera Daemon will likely keep this firmness option.
Since the texture on Nymf Tulip isn’t very intense, especially with the soft silicone option, I do think this dildo is a great option for any user. The texture isn’t too intense and provides delicious sensations while thrusting or a small, comfortable stretch while cock warming.
