Crassie Velvet Touch Dual Density Dildo Review

If you’ve ever wished that your partner had larger fingers to fill your hole(s), hold onto your butts! A dual-density silicone dildo, Velvet Touch by Crassie, has entered the chat, and it’s giving the “come hither” motion from across the room.

It’s ok, let your curiosity take over. Follow that “come hither” motion and prepare for pleasure! This unassuming dildo is actually a joy.

Come Meet the Velvet Touch Dildo

Touted as Crassie’s masterpiece design, the Velvet Touch dual density dildo lovingly earned the nickname “The Finger” in our house, as it’s shape is very finger like. The curved shaft is ergonomically designed to hit the g-spot or a-spot. There is no texture on the Velvet Touch dildo, just some gentle curves that give it a “double-tapping tip.” Available in green & pink individually, and in blue but only if you get a strap-on kit, this finger-shaped dildo is made with platinum cure silicone with a firm core and a plush, squishy outer layer. The toy also features a suction cup, and comes with a satin storage bag.

There are two sizes available, small and large. I opted to get a size large, which has the following dimensions:

  • Total length: 6.4″ / 16.4cm
  • Insertable length: 5.9″ / 15cm
  • Diameter: 1.38″ / 3.5cm
  • Base diameter: 2.5″ / 6.5cm
  • O-ring size recommendation: 1.5″ / 3.8cm

The Crassie website features a lot of “sex toys for lesbians” SEO strategy, which seemingly focuses on cis lesbians without ever actually saying that specifically. When the package arrived, I was very happy to see no mention what-so-ever about lesbians. In fact, the packaging is a thick cardboard box with the brand name and a photo of clouds, and maybe some boobs? The brand name is on the box, with the only indication that their brand is “for lesbians” being on the “thank you for buying” card included in the box.

Care Instructions for Crassie Velvet Touch Dildo

Though the Crassie website does have a lot of information about relationships, culture, and sex education, I found that the cleaning information was sort of sprinkled all over the website without one clear place for care information. Most of the information provided is “Clean your sex toy with a sex toy cleaner or with warm water and soap” on each product listing and a very short blurb on using water-based lubricants only.

Water-based lubricant is the best lube option for Crassie’s sex toys, but let me give you a bit more in-depth information about cleaning their dildos. Most of their dildos do not have motors in them, which means cleaning them is super easy. You can do any of the following, just don’t boil bleach:

  • wash with warm water and an unscented, anti-bacterial soap
  • soak in a 1:10 bleach:water mixture for about 10 minutes (that’s 1 part bleach, 10 parts water)
  • boil in water for 5-10 minutes, using a large, non-abrasive spoon to keep the toy from resting against the sides or bottom of the pot
  • run through the dishwasher without detergent, on a sanitize setting

You can store your dildo in the included satin storage pouch, just make sure it’s been thoroughly washed & dried beforehand. You can also store it standing up on the suction cup, as long as it’s not touching any toys that are not made with platinum cure silicone. Easy peasy!

My Experiences with Crassie Velvet Touch Dual Density Dildo

I was a bit skeptical about Crassie when a representative from the brand first reached out to me. I’d never heard of the brand before, and I only found reviews of them from one of the reviewers I follow & trust. But, I saw that their products are made with body-safe silicone, they have dual density options, and their sale pricing is affordable. I decided that I’d give them a go, though I requested a different toy than the two they originally proposed.

As a sucker for dual density dildos, I needed to see how Crassie’s options compared. Velvet Touch is one of two dual density dildos in Crassie’s line-up, which is honestly a shame. I have quickly become a fan of their dual density silicone, which has a very bendable core and an incredibly squishy exterior. I can pinch it with my finger tips around the tip of the toy, and it feels so plush. The rest of the shaft is also dual density, but the exterior layer isn’t quite as thick and pinch-able. The dual density is lush and softer than Blush’s, Solina’s, and BMS, closer to the super squishy dual density from Shaft.

The softness of the toy, paired with how flexible it is, really makes the Velvet Touch dildo one of the most comfortable dildos in my collection. The lack of texture means that there is nothing to overwhelm or overstimulate me. If I’m feeling tender or sore from a partner or a larger toy, Velvet Touch still allows me to achieve orgasm without making me feel uncomfortable. It’s so lush!

Using Velvet Touch during solo play was honestly my least favorite way of using the dildo, oddly enough. Usually, I’m a big fan of dildos for masturbation, but in this case, I much preferred the toy during partner play instead. I did my usual insert it and leave it while using a vibrator on my clitoris, which was good enough to help me achieve orgasm, but not nearly as quickly as when the toy was used on me.

The first time my wife, Cassie, used the dildo on me, she was trying to move it in a way that was similar to that same “come hither” motion that I mentioned earlier. Surprisingly, it worked. The angle she was at allowed her to move the dildo that way, in a way that I just couldn’t quite achieve on my own even when using an ergonomic handle with the dildo. Hand pumping the dildo was the best way to achieve the “come hither” motion that resulted in my squirting over and over again. Much like the “come hither” motion, I preferred the pad of the giant finger towards my belly button for best g-spot stimulation.

When I tried riding the dildo on a makeshift toy mount, I wasn’t able to get that same type of stimulation. However, the shape of Velvet Touch was great for hitting my g-spot over and over again. I’m not always able to achieve orgasm while riding, but the curve and plush tip really helped me get there.

Crassie markets their dildos as strap-on friendly, which they absolutely are thanks to the suction cup base. I wasn’t able to test Velvet Touch on a partner as a top, but my wife did strap up and use the dildo on me that way. Again, I found the dildo comfortable and pleasurable, helping me achieve multiple orgasms in a couple different positions.

Cassie wasn’t as interested in trying the dildo, due to the size and softness. Velvet Touch is anal friendly (again, thanks to the suction cup base), and I got adventurous and decided to try the dildo in my own ass, thinking it wasn’t too thick. Welp, as an anal newb, the dildo is actually a bit thicker than I could comfortably take. I was able to get it inserted, though the squishy and bendable dildo wasn’t the easiest to get in there.

Pros:

  • body-safe silicone
  • dual density has a squishy, plush exterior
  • strong suction cup base
  • finger shape is perfect for g-spot stimulation
  • anal friendly
  • harness compatible
  • available in 2 sizes & 3 colors
  • non-phallic design is very approachable

Cons:

  • the extra soft silicone is tacky and collects dust, lint, hair, etc
  • blue version is only available in kits
  • soft silicone is tacky enough that lube is absolutely a necessity
  • Crassie website feels very cis-lesbian focused, and I’d like to see more trans lesbian representation

Final Thoughts on Crassie Velvet Touch Dual Density Dildo

I can’t get enough of the dual density dildo, Velvet Touch, by Crassie. Even though I tend to prefer dildos with some texture, I have found myself repeatedly reaching for this one. I love how it feels, I love having it used on me, I love that it’s got a suction cup that makes it harness compatible. I don’t love the brand’s “sex toys for lesbians” focus, especially how cis focused it is (without actually saying it). But that complaint aside, I really like this dildo.
