Crassie Bendable Dual Density Dildo with Grinding Base Review

Plush & squishy with a firm, bendable core? Say no more. You’ve already got my attention! I really enjoyed “The Finger” dual density dildo from Crassie, so when they reached out to me to discuss further reviews, I was ready to test more of their toys. This time, they were offering their newest dual density dildo: a bendable g-spot dildo with a grinding base.

I’ve tried strapless strap-ons before. I’ve tried dildos of all sorts of shapes and sizes before. I’ve tried a removable grinding base, made specifically for strap-on play. But somehow, in all of my taste tests, I’d never tried a dildo with a built in grinding base! How can I call myself an expert at strap-on topping when I haven’t tried all the different styles of strap-on dildos out there?

Meet the Bendable Dual Density Dildo with Grinding Base

Forget a cute, memorable name for this dildo. Everything you need to know about its main selling points are in the name! This dildo is a silicone, dual density dildo with a firm, bendable core and a grinding base. My very first impression when taking the dildo out of the box was “wow, this is the squishiest, plushest dual density dildo I’ve ever felt!” The soft, squishy exterior feels fairly thick, with a thin core that is not just flexible but actually posable.

There isn’t much texture on this dildo, though each side of the shaft has 2 gently raised lines that provide some minimal, vertical texture. The head of the dildo also has a more pronounced coronal ridge, though not dramatically pronounced. The base of the dildo features a grindable, horizontal texture that is designed to rub against the wearer’s anatomy. It has 6 wide, rounded bumps.

Available in light blue or light pink, this Crassie dildo is also available in two sizes: small and large. I got a size large, which has the following dimensions:

  • Total length: 8″ / 20.5cm
  • Insertable length: 6.3″ / 16cm
  • Diameter (midshaft): 1.4″ / 3.6cm
  • Diameter at the base: 2.9″ / 7.3cm

Caring for Crassie Bendable Dual Density Dildo with Grinding Base

The basics of caring for the Bendable Dual Density Dildo with Grinding Base are pretty easy and straightforward. Wash with an unscented, antibacterial soap before and after each use. Avoid using a soap that is made with silicone, especially since this dildo is made with ultra soft silicone, thus making it even easier to damage. When you’re using the dildo, make sure you’re only using a water-based lubricant or one made with natural oils that are safe for your body. Avoid any lubricant that is silicone based or a silicone hybrid.

Because the dildo is made with such soft silicone, I do want to caution you that it is very, very easy to scratch the surface accidentally. In fact, I’ve already managed to damage mine thanks to long, sharp, natural fingernails. After my wife hand-pumped the dildo into me, it now has two permanent dents from where her nails dug in just a bit too much. Those who have gels, acrylics, or power dip nails may not run into this problem as easily, since those make the nail a bit more thick than an unpainted nail. So, make sure you’re taking proper precautions when it comes to storing the dildo! Use the included storage bag and make sure not to rest it against any sharp, pointed, or abrasive surfaces!

My Experiences with the Crassie Dual Density Dildo

If you’ve been a reader for a while now, you might know that I absolutely love dual density dildos. I love that they give you a nice “real feel” and are in some cases more comfortable to take than a single density dildo. Oddly enough, that’s not really the case with this dual density dildo from Crassie.

Yea, it’s a dual density dildo, but this one does not give me any sort of “real feel.” The exterior layer is so soft and plush that it doesn’t really mimic the feeling of an actual human penis. This is not a bad thing, for the record. It’s just important that you know that if you’re seeking a dual density dildo that has a good “real feel” to it, this is not the dildo for you. However, if you’re not concerned about a realistic feel, then read on babe.

I did expect a realistic feeling dual density, though I’m not really sure why. I definitely did not expect the dildo to have as much squish as it has! I expected a similar level of squish to the Crassie Velvet Touch dildo, or perhaps something in line with Solina Toys. Nope. This one has way more squish than both of those! I don’t have a single density dildo in my collection that is this level of softness, so I’m going to guess that they’re using something close to a shore 00-20. It’s really, really soft, ya’ll.

Ok, self. Enough about the squish!

Honestly, it took me a while to use the dildo for it’s intended purpose: a strap-on dildo. I used the dildo a lot for solo use, as I really enjoyed the thickness of the dildo and the soft g-spot stimulation, and there was a period where I was too ill to do any strap-on topping. As a dildo for solo use, the grinding base was actually really comfortable to hold onto if I wanted to thrust the dildo in and out. It fit almost perfectly in my hand without flaring up my nerve damage, and I was able to hold it long enough to get myself off without any pain or discomfort in my hand.

The dildo doesn’t have much texture, and what’s there is pretty minimal, especially in comparison to some of the fantasy dildos in my collection. The vertical texture that runs along the sides of the shaft was not noticeable to me at all. It’s barely raised, and the softness of the dildo really just made me forget that those textural lines even existed. Thankfully, the head of the dildo and it’s slightly raised coronal ridge were noticeable. It’s got a somewhat bulbous shape to it, making the dildo fantastic for g-spot or prostate stimulation.

Speaking of g-spot stimulation, I wasn’t able to make myself squirt with this dildo. I’m not entirely sure why, as I definitely tried a lot, but sadly my sex blanket remained dry after every use. My theory is that it’s just too soft and that firmer dildos like Dildolls or the Pure Wand are better suited for squirting than something this squishy and soft. Even when my wife tried, we couldn’t quite get me gushing!

Not a problem for me though, because squirting is just one form of orgasm that I’m capable of! And, I was able to have plenty of other forms of orgasms using the Bendable Dual Density Dildo with Grinding Base.

Using the dildo with a bullet vibrator or wand vibrator against my clitoris was fantastic, and thanks to the wide base, I was able to use the dildo hands free with the help of my thighs. Having the ability to pose the dildo also added a layer of ease that I wasn’t expecting! I could bend the base towards the bed so there was more of an upwards thrust when using the dildo hands free, which really took my orgasms to a blissful level of pleasure.

Testing the dildo with my wife was also a pleasure. We used it a few different ways with each other, trying to see if there was a noticeable difference in comfort and stimulation between our two different anatomies. For me, all of my panty style strap-on harnesses sit a little too high on my anatomy to use the grindable base. I’ve got a fairly squishy mons pubis and large labia, I need a harness where the o-ring hole is a bit lower if I hope to achieve any stimulation with a toy like this. The harnesses that came closest were my Ouch! by Shots panty harness with open back or my RodeoH jock straps, and that was partially due to the dildo’s weight vs strength of the harness.

Though the Bendable Dual Density Dildo with Grinding Base does have a flared base, I’m hesitant to recommend it for anal penetration. The top of the base, where the base meets shaft, is very squishy and could be accidentally pushed in, if you’re not careful. If you’re using it for anal penetration with a partner, you’ll likely want a strap-on harness to prevent the dildo from being pushed too far in.

When Cassie used the dildo in her strap-on harness, we wanted to see if the grinding base would stimulate her penis. I was actually really hoping that she would find it pleasurable! I’m disappointed to share that the two layers of fabric that separated her anatomy from the base of the dildo were too thick for her to get any stimulation from the toy. She was using a RodeoH harness, and the o-ring on hers sits approximately where her penis rests when it is soft. When she’s hard, the o-ring sits at the mid-to-low end of her shaft.

The grinding base feels really nice to grind against, though, and you can bend the shaft upwards to use the dildo as a handheld grinder! This was the best use of the grinding base, for me and my anatomy. The shaft of the dildo made for an easy to hold handle and with some water based lube, I really got into grinding on this toy. It made me want to try a scissor position, in which I’m using the grinding base against my clit while scissoring the dildo end into my wife, or vice versa with the grinding base against her perineum for external p-spot stimulation. We have not tried this yet, but I will update this review when we get a chance to do so!

Cassie also used the dildo to penetrate me while giving me oral sex, which was delicious. This dildo really is perfect for thrusting. I couldn’t get enough of the combination of her mouth and the dildo. Cassie thought it was comfortable to hold, even though we did later realize that her nails are a bit too sharp to hold the dildo the way she was. That soft silicone is delicate, ya’ll!

Because the dildo is so soft, it’s also really comfortable to take when I’m feeling sore from a well-endowed partner or a larger, more texture dildo. There were a number of times in which I came home from a lover’s house, feeling a little tender, to find my wife wanting me, and I’d grab this dildo for her to use on me. Sometimes in these moments, I did find myself wishing I had requested the smaller size instead, but I appreciated the size large the rest of the time.

Pros:

  • available in 2 sizes
  • crazy squishy dual density
  • made with platinum cure silicone
  • grinding base is a lovely introduction to grinders
  • harness compatible
  • 2 colors available
  • minimal texture
  • super comfortable to use when tender
  • base was comfortable to hold during solo use & partner play

Cons:

  • The bendable core feels fairly thin, so dramatic bends may eventually cause tearing of soft silicone
  • grinding base worked better for me as a handheld grinder rather than during strap-on topping
  • the brand’s care instructions need to provide deeper information given the delicate nature of how soft their silicone is
  • silicone is very easily scratched with fingernails

The Final Verdict on the Bendable Dual Density Dildo with Grinding Base by Crassie

Having never tried a dildo with a grinding base on it before, I don’t really have anything to compare this toy to. As a standalone toy in my collection, I overall like the Bendable Dual Density Dildo with Grinding Base by Crassie. I love the plushness of the dual density, I like that it’s available in 2 sizes & 2 colors, I like that it is comfortable to use when I’m tender. I want to try it while scissoring, but that may have to wait until I have a partner whose anatomy matches mine. Until that happens, I’m happy to use the dildo as a handle when using the grinding base!

For anyone looking for a dual density dildo for strap-on play, I think this dildo is a good option, as long as you don’t mind that you may not get direct clitoral stimulation, depending on your anatomy and your harness. Even if you just want a bendable dual density dildo, I still think this is absolutely worth it, especially at sale price of $49!
