Bathmate HydroXtreme Kit Penis Pump Review   New!

It’s time for something I’ve never done before. Time to review a penis pump! Not just any penis pump, though. The Bathmate HydroXtreme penis pump kit, specifically. Bathmate is the leading hydro pump brand on the market, so when they reached out to me, I knew that this was a collaboration that I was very interested in pursuing.

“But wait Sydney, you don’t have a penis. How can you thoroughly review a penis product?” you may be asking. And you’re right, I don’t have one, but my wife does! That’s why I decided to pass the keyboard over to my wife, Cassie Cummings, for parts of this review. Between the two of us, we’re here to make sure to give you the information you need!

But first…

Who is Bathmate?

While Bathmate as a brand didn’t launch until 2006, the inventor, John Oakes, set out to make the first hydro penis pump in 2004 after a friend of his suffered a serious spinal injury. One of the results of that spinal injury was that John’s friend could no longer get and maintain erections. John spent time looking into conventional penis pumps, which used air pressure to create a vacuum against the body, but he wasn’t convinced that those were the answer to his friend’s injury. As a mechanical engineering designer who worked with hydraulics for many years, John took his knowledge to invent the very first hydro pump.

According to John, the human penis is a hydraulically operated organ, so he started working with the idea of using warm water to create a hydro-vacuum. After developing several prototypes, John’s friend was thrilled with the results, and thus the Bathmate Hercules was born (now known as the Hydro7). Now, almost 20 years later, Bathmate manufactures three different lines: Hydro, HydroMax and HydroXtreme, with more than 10 different size models available.

Bathmate products are the only hydro penis pumps on the market that are FDA regulated, and Bathmate has a 60-day guarantee that their pumps will provide stronger, harder erections, noticeable improvements to size and performance, and a boost in confidence both in and out of the bathroom. How can they make such a guarantee? Because their products actually work!

Why Use a Hydro Pump vs a Conventional Air Pump?

Penis pumps are a great way for penis having people to improve their erections, but not all pumps are created equally. They are designed to give an increase in blood flow to the penis, help with tissue expansion, and make erections stronger, but the type of pump really matters.

Air pumps do not give users even pressure thanks to air pockets & bubbles, which can cause discomfort or lead to injury. On the flip side with hydro pumps, water creates consistent and even pressure around your penis, which cuts down on the risk of injury while giving you balanced results. Warm water helps relax the tissue in the penis and improves blood flow, making the penis exercise more effective with each use.

The enhanced circulation from improved blood flow helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to the tissue, which is shown to improve vascular health and sexual performance over time. Stronger erections, improved stamina, and even potential size gains are some of the benefits of regular pumping, and the combination of water pressure and even distribution make Bathmate more effective and comfortable than an air pump.

Meet the HydroXtreme Penis Pump by Bathmate

As the only FDA regulated penis pump brand on the market, the HydroXtreme is made with body-safe silicone, high strength polycarbonate and quality stainless steel. You can buy just the pump itself, which does come with a comfort ring, or you can get a HydroXtreme Kit, which comes with the penis pump itself, plus a slew of accessories to help improve the pumping experience. Included in the box, you’ll find a travel/storage bag with detachable strap, a small travel lock, a cleaning brush, a towel, and a bottle of cleaning spray. The HydroXtreme is also the only line that has a hand-pump bulb for both comfort and safety.

Available in 8 different sizes, the HydroXtreme is made for sizes from 3″ / 7.5cm up to 11″ / 28cm and is the most powerful of the penis pumps available from Bathmate. It can be used in the bath or shower, as water is a requirement for all of Bathmate’s pumps. All of Bathmate’s products come with a 2 year warranty and free shipping worldwide.

How to Use the Bathmate HydroXtreme Pump

Like any muscle in your body, the more you train your penis, the better and stronger it will become. You should plan to use the Bathmate hydro pumps at least 3x per week, though it is safe to use up to 5x per week. Each workout should be done while taking a bath or shower for best results and follow these steps:

  • Step 1: massage your genital region to help relax and warm up the skin in the area
  • Step 2: close the valve on the pump, remove the comfort ring (optional) and begin to fill the pump with water. If you removed the comfort ring, you can put it back after filling the pump with warm, not hot, water.
  • Step 3: insert your flaccid penis into the pump, making sure that your testicles are outside of the seal before firmly pressing the pump against your body. Angle the pump slightly upward and open the valve then attach the handball pump.
  • Step 4: create a vacuum seal by pulling the device against your body and continue pumping until you’ve reached maximum comfort pressure
  • Step 5: wait for 3 minutes, adding further pressure if needed. After 3 minutes, release the clear valve cap and remove the pump
  • Step 6: massage your penis by forming an “ok” sign with your hand and gently sliding it up from the base to the glans (head), repeating for 2 minutes before allowing your penis to become flaccid
  • Step 7: repeat steps 2-6 twice more. Your workout should not exceed 15 minutes total workout time

Like any workout, you can overdo it! Be careful not to rush your workout, don’t apply too much pressure, and try not to exceed 15-20 minutes. If you’re a visual learner, don’t worry! You can find links to both PDFs and videos of how to use the Bathmate penis pumps in the packaging.

Cassie’s Experiences with the HydroXtreme

(I’m passing the mic to Cassie for this section, with an interview to help her answer the questions that matter most!)

Hey y’all! I’m Cassie, a transgender woman in my late thirties. Let’s talk about pumping my erections.

What were your erections like prior to using the HydroXtreme? As a trans woman, my erections are different in a lot of ways. I’m not always at 100% stiffness during intercourse. Yeah, sometimes my erections feel soft and bendy despite looking like I’m aroused. When I did achieve full hardness, it would be painful. Admittedly, I had developed Peyronie’s syndrome from not maintaining the tissue inside my penis. Regular erections are healthy! For me, the pain was coming from the rings of hardened tissue inside my penis. Regular massaging of that tissue and inflation via erection were my methods of combating that.

What do your erections feel like now that you’re using it 2-3x times a week? Now here’s the best part: I have pain-free erections now! While I still don’t need to achieve 100% stiffness in order to have sex, I am finding myself fuller more often and without the pain associated with that fullness. It seems that adding regular pumping to my massaging/inflation routine had an effect! Do I think my erection got bigger? I don’t know about that, but I feel good when I am hard and that’s the best feeling.

How would you describe the pumping process? I used the mount that was included in the box to hang it in my shower for easy access. I get distracted easily and often fail to stick with routines. Having the pump already within reach when I’m in the right place to use it made sure I couldn’t fail this time. Pumping takes 15 minutes maximum so incorporating it into my shower was easy. It fills while I’m holding it under the showerhead with me. There’s a cushion to seat on the cylinder once it’s full, and then I guide myself into it while flaccid. Holding the filled cylinder with one hand and pressing the cushion against my groin, I open the valve, create the seal, and affix the handpump with the other hand.  And now I’m pumping myself to healthier erections. Even without testicles, the pump is easy to seat and use.

Do you have any tips for using the pump? I followed the instructions provided and you’ll be happy to know they’re simple. There’s a QR code on the side of the tube that will pull them up on your phone even! My one tip would be to remember that you’re working out a part of your body when you use the HydroXtreme. Just like in the gym, you start light and work your way to heavy. So too with the HydroXtreme, you pump a bit more each time to hit your goal. Don’t try to pump hard and fast from the start. That’ll put you in a world of pain! Gradual, even pumps will ensure your erection grows safely. Doing this regularly will provide you with gains! I mentioned earlier that I do not have testicles. I do have a scrotum, however, and so I find the seal holds best when I ensure the scrotum does not bunch under the cushion by inserting it into the cylinder with my penis.

What are your goals with pumping? I am after those gains! My erections had been weak and painful. Now they’re full and painfree! I plan to continue my routine of pumping and regular massaging to keep it that way.

What do you like or dislike about the pump and/or process? I’m extremely pleased with my results with the HydroXtreme pump. Using water inside the tube has been easier for me than a similar air pump. I wish I could explain that better, but it just made more sense to me and was easier to see when I was doing it wrong. The entire method was simple to grasp and easy to achieve. Hanging it in the shower meant it was always within reach when I needed it.

Pros:

  • easy to use
  • available in different sizes
  • hydro penis pumps are safer to use than air penis pumps
  • may help with erectile dysfunction
  • boosted blood flow
  • tissue expansion
  • stronger erections
  • better self confidence
  • kit includes helpful accessories

Cons:

  • HydroXtreme is the most expensive option from Bathmate, which may be cost prohibitive to some
  • requires regular, on-going exercises for best results
  • not a discreet product

So… Does the Bathmate HydroXtreme Work?

You heard it straight from Cassie’s fingertips, she’s seen and felt noticeable results from using the Bathmate HydroXtreme. While she hasn’t gotten a lot of use of the accessories, with the exception of the cleaning spray and cleaning brush. Since she doesn’t take the pump with her to a gym and most of our trips since getting it have been single, small bag trips, she hasn’t really needed the travel bag. Aside from that, Cassie is using the pump regularly and is happy with the results, so that makes me happy too.

From my perspective, I don’t hear any complaints of discomfort or pain from Cassie during or after she uses her penis to penetrate me, which wasn’t the case prior. The bands on her penis from the Peyronie’s are still there, but they’re no longer giving her as much issue as they used to either.
