With literally hundreds of indie toy shops around the globe, there’s nobody doing things quite like Creature Feature Toys. Creature Feature Toys, or CFT, has playful branding that lends itself to fun, whimsical takes on dragons, werewolves, tentacles and everything in between. Calliope, the star of today’s review, has unique character lore as a carousel mount. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a carousel mount fantasy dildo, but I’m loving the stage they’ve set with Calliope.
Having previously worked with CFT in 2025, I’ve kept my eyes on their inventory drops and new model announcements. They are often making really fun and playful pours and they have several designs that are of interest to me. I patiently waited for something to not only catch my eye, but also be in the right size and firmness for my tastes, so I could purchase a little something.
As a small business owner myself, supporting other small businesses has always felt rewarding to me, so one of my things as a reviewer is to support small businesses that have supported me in the past. Without toys to review, my part time job of sex toy reviewer isn’t possible, so once I started having a monthly sex toy budget for buying toys to review, I started spending money with shops that have given me toys in exchange for honest reviews or as part of collaborations. Get to Know Calliope by Creature Feature Toys
Hold on tight, you’re in for a fun ride! Calliope by Creature Feature Toys is a sea goat carousel mount fantasy dildo made with platinum cure silicone. Starting with a sculpted Prince Albert piercing on the humanoid-shaped head, Calliope’s design has a tapered shaft with a twisty, spiral shaft. The shaft has a slight c-curve, giving it the capability for g-spot or prostate stimulation. Originally sculpted by hand, Calliope has a wide base that makes it anal safe and harness compatible. I consider this model a moderately textured dildo, since it is high profile texture, though it’s fairly smooth and rounded.
Calliope is available in 4 sizes and 4 firmness options. I got a size small in the medium 00-50 firmness, which is often compared to erect penis tissue. There’s a decent amount of squish, especially at the thinnest parts of the dildo. The size small has the following dimensions:

Care Instructions for Creature Feature Toys Calliope Fantasy Dildo
Creature Feature Toys makes all of their fantasy sex toys with platinum cure silicone, which is easy to clean and can be fully sterilized/sanitized/disinfected. Calliope does have a decent amount of texture, but you’ll only need to give extra attention cleaning around the Prince Albert and the base itself, where the nooks and crannies are deepest and smallest. A gentle unscented soap is typically all you’ll need for your day to day washes. Before and after each use, rinse the dildo under warm or hot water, lather it up with soap, then rinse it thoroughly again.
The deep cleaning methods for sanitization of solid platinum cure silicone sex toys aren’t ones you’ll use as often. You should use one of the below methods if you’ve shown symptoms of an infection, you’re switching a toy’s use from anal to vaginal, you’re sharing a toy with a non-fluid partner, or you’re buying/selling toys on the secondhand market. You only need to do one of these methods, not all of them!
- bake it on a lined baking sheet in a preheated oven set to 350F / 180C for 10 minutes
- boil it in water for 10 minutes, using tongs to gently place the toy in the water, move it if it starts touching one of the sides of the pot, and removing it
- soak in a diluted bleach bath of 1 part bleach, 9 parts water for 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with hot water
- run it through your dishwasher’s “Sanitize” cycle without detergent and without any dirty dishes, then rinse thoroughly
- soak a lint free cloth in isopropyl alcohol and gently rub down the dildo then rinse thoroughly with hot water
Beyond cleaning, you should also pay attention to the lubricant you use and how you store toys. Lubricants should only be water or oil based, as silicone or silicone hybrid lubes may damage the surface of toys over time. When storing your toys, avoid storing them in close proximity or touching toys made with porous materials, such as PVC, latex, TPE, or jelly.
My Experiences with Calliope Fantasy Dildo by Creature Feature Toys
When I first saw the teal, black and gold marble on a few models in a Creature Feature Toys drop, I loved the combination of colors together so much that I emailed them about making me one. They set up a private listing for me to order from after I let them know which model, size, and firmness I wanted. I love when shops are open to doing this!
After placing the custom order, my order status changed from “confirmed” to “processing” the next day, though it took about a month for the fantasy dildo to move from “processing” to “shipped.” Shipping from the US to the Netherlands also took time, arriving about 3 weeks after I got the shipping notification.
The wait was worth it though. CFT was running a monthly promotion for a special “Dream Date” gift with purchase, which included a notepad, pen, stickers, keychain, art cards, care card, scratch-off, and a tiny squish. It was a really fun package to open, and I loved their custom tissue paper covered in constellations of their dildos. Though the package was fun to open, it wasn’t the only thing that made it worth the wait…
Because, of course, inside the package was also my first custom purchase from CFT! The dildo is really well designed, and the cut is fairly clean. The coloration feels a little regal though the pour style looks much more playful. I enjoy the juxtaposition each time I look at the dildo.
Using it though? Well. Using Calliope is delightful. I could not find a way that I didn’t enjoy it. Riding, thrusting, cockwarming… all of them worked well for me. I enjoyed using it on myself just as much as I enjoyed having someone else use it on me. I can’t stop gushing about it!
The size small Calliope has a sizeable base that allows for a medium size double-sided suction cup, even though a size small can handle its capacity. I really love this, because it feels somewhat less hinge-like, making it feel a bit more secure. That makes the base great for using with a fuck machine or ergonomic handle, and while riding.
Now that I’ve got a riding chair in my life, I’m doing signficantly more bouncing up and down on dildos than ever before. Of course I had to take the fantasy dildo for a ride! Calliope‘s gentle, rounded swirl feels best when starting slowly, getting accustomed to the asymmetrical texture before increasing speed. I really enjoyed starting with just the dildo, then adding a bullet vibrator to my anatomy externally once I wanted to push myself over the edge.
When cockwarming the Creature Feature Toys dildo, I preferred the opposite: start with the bullet vibrator then insert the dildo once I got to a certain point. The tapered length was a good stretch, increasing 1.53″ / 3.89cm from the head down to the base where the dildo is thickest. It’s a noticeable stretch, so I liked to start partially inserted, then use my thighs to help push the dildo further in when I was ready.
Keeping it somewhat shallow also allowed for really nice g-spot stimulation. The base size also comes in handy for me while cockwarming, as my thighs are thick enough to hold the dildo in place for me so I couldn’t push it out when I orgasm. Moving my hips up and down gives me some extra stimulation and really hits the spot nicely. G-spot orgasms always felt amazing with Calliope.
It’s all thanks to the head. The tip shape is fairly humanoid, which feels familiar until the second ridge. The ridge of the head and the ridge below it make for a wonderful pair that hit the g-spot in such a way to send me into a euphoric state repeatedly. I can’t get enough of it. Calliope’s head is damn near perfect for both g-spot and blended orgasms, both in-motion and not.
The texture on Calliope is asymmetrical, but it wasn’t ever a problem for me. The way it felt in motion was occasionally overstimulating, but in a really pleasurable way. The 00-50 allowed me to really feel the texture. There’s good squish, but not enough to diminish the texture.
The base size worked for me when holding the fantasy dildo by hand too. It’s a wide base, but it feels comfortable to wrap my fingers around. Since I enjoy the shallow strokes on Calliope so much, I ended up thrusting it into myself by hand a lot longer than I usually tolerate. Once my body hit orgasm once with the dildo, I’d want to just keep going and going, even if that meant hand pumping it into myself.
I didn’t try the dildo while standing in the shower, as I suspect the length won’t be quite enough due to reach. I also haven’t tried it anally since it’s outside of my range. The fantasy dildo is anal safe though! If Cassie tries it, I’ll update this review with her thoughts!

My Final Thoughts on Creature Feature Toys Calliope Fantasy Dildo
What a fun ride Calliope is. Creature Feature Toys’ design is great in every way I’ve put it to the test. I loved the swirling texture, but the real star of the show is the double ridge that excels at g-spot stimulation. On its own, paired with another sex toy, whatever the case may be, Calliope far exceeded my hopes. Calliope is one of several models from CFT that I’ve had my eyes on, just waiting for a fun pour and firmness to catch my eye. I suspected I’d really enjoy the texture and head. I ended up loving all of it, though. It’s a purchase that I’m very happy with.
If you’re ready and willing to give the asymmetrical texture a try, Calliope’s gentle, rounded spiral is positively stimulating without being intimidating. I’d recommend this dildo to anyone who has tried The Splendid dildo and wants more texture, as this is a fantastic step up from that. If the ridges are intimidating to you, but you’re still ready to try the dildo, I’d recommend getting either Soft 00-30 or Super-Soft 00-20. I’d only recommend Firm 10A to those who are experienced with similar textures and sizes.
