The number of emails I get regularly asking me for advice on how to be a male porn star is at least 10 a week. That may not seem like much, but that does add up quickly. Chances are, most of the people contacting me just want an excuse to talk to me or whatever girl they’re asking that question to. However, for those guys who are actually serious about getting into porn, here are some tips on what you need for your future in porn:

• Get used to the fact that you’ll be fucking in front of a group of people…most of which will be male. Every shoot I’ve been on has had at least one camera person, a director, a makeup artist, plus the owner of the location.
• You need to be able to cum on command…with maybe a 90 seconds of notice.
• Have a hot girlfriend that shoots porn, and ride that into stardom. Sure, you’ll fuck up her career by insisting that she only use you as her male talent, but hey, this isn’t about her is it?
• Live in Los Angeles or Miami.
• You’re probably going to have start with gay for pay work if you actually want to make money.
• Get used to the fact that you’re going to be a prop most of the time. You’re not Ron Jeremy, you’re not James Deen. You’re not going to actually be the star of the film.
• Can you keep your dick hard long enough to last for photos and videos? Keep in mind a 30 minute end product video probably took about 3-4 hours to shoot.
• Do it yourself. If you really want to be in porn, buy some lights, get a camera, hire your own talent.
